Layout

Customize the Layout of your Knowledge Base for improved usability.

TL;DR

Access customization menu

Select your Knowledge Base and click the Settings button.

Choose layout
Select the Layout tab and preview your options.

Adjust title layout
Adjust the title alignment as needed.

Set homepage
Select Default or Custom homepage using the toggle.

Enable Table of Contents
Click the Table of Content button to enable it.

Save changes
Click Save to apply all changes.

Let's Do It Together!

1. Access the Customization Menu

  1. Select your Knowledge Base.

  2. Click the three dots and select the Settings button.

NOTE: Ensure you are on the correct Knowledge Base before customizing.

2. Choose Layout Options

  1. Select the Layout tab on the left-hand side.

  2. You will see a preview of your Knowledge Base Layout on the right.

  3. Change the style by selecting either Documentation or Help Center.

  4. Note the description below the styles to understand the unavailable features.

3. Adjust Title and Description Layout

  1. Click the Alignment section to change the Layout for your title and description.

4. Set Homepage Preferences

  1. Select the Default or Custom homepage by clicking the Toggle button.

Step 5: Enable Table of Contents

  1. Click the Table of Content button to enable the table of contents for your customer-facing Knowledge Base.

Step 6: Save Your Changes

  1. Once you're done, click the Save button to save all your changes.

FAQ

Why doesn’t my Knowledge Base Layout look different after I customize it?

Make sure you select Save after changing the Layout. Then click Back when prompted. If you don’t save and exit properly, the Layout changes won’t apply.
