Onboard in InstantDocs with Integrations

Complete your InstantDocs onboarding and import Knowledge Bases.

Import data from external platforms as a new Knowledge Base in InstantDocs.

Let's Do It Together!

1. Account Setup

  1. Log in to InstantDocs for the first time.

  2. Enter your first name and select how you heard about us.

  3. Click Continue.

  4. Enter your organization name and a URL.

  5. Click Continue.

2. Tool Selection

  1. Select the tools you use for your current Knowledge Base and support tickets.

  2. Click Continue.

Note: This step confirms what integrations and tools are available in InstantDocs.

3. Knowledge Base Setup

  1. Review InstantDocs capabilities and click Continue.

  2. Choose to start fresh or import from an existing Knowledge Base.

  3. If importing, select the application and click Continue.

  4. Integrate accordingly and click Verify.

4. Import Files

  1. After verification, click Next.

  2. Select the files to import as a new Knowledge Base.

  3. Click Import to start the process.

  4. Monitor the Importing in Progress page.

  5. Click Next at any point.

5. Install Extension or App

  1. You will be prompted to install the Chrome extension or desktop app.

  2. Once in the workspace, your new knowledge base from Zendesk will be ready.\

Tip: We recommend installing the native app as it provides more high quality performance and stability.

6. Integrate More Data

If you have already created your InstantDocs account and would like to import your Knowledge Base from an existing platform, follow these steps:

  1. Click on your Workspace name.

  2. Go to settings and click Integrations.

  3. Select the account you want to integrate with.

  4. Click Connect and then Next.

  5. Enter your account API token details.

  6. Click Verify to confirm integration.

7. Finalize Integration

  1. After verification, click Next.

  2. Return to your workspace and hover over Knowledge Bases.

  3. Click the + icon to add a new Knowledge Base.

  4. Name your Knowledge Base, select visibility.

  5. Most importantly click Import from external platforms.

  6. Click Create.

8. Import Files Again

  1. Select the application you integrated and click Next.

  2. Choose the files to import and click Import.

  3. You can click Done at any point.

  4. Once importing is complete, your new Knowledge Base will be ready.

FAQ

Can I import my existing KB from another platform to InstantDocs while getting started?
Yes! Just follow these steps: 1. Click on your Workspace name when logged in to your InstantDocs account. 2. Go to "Setting" and click "Integrations". 3. Select the account you want to integrate and import from. 4. Click "Connect" and then "Next". 5. Enter your account API token details. 6. Click "Verify" to confirm integration. 7. After verification, click "Next". 8. Return to your workspace and hover over "Knowledge Bases". 9. Click the + icon to add a new Knowledge Base. 10. Name your Knowledge Base, select visibility. 11. Most importantly click "Import from external platforms". 12. Follow the prompts to import.
