Roxen is a bilingual display font that was designed by Daniel Grumer in 2019 for use on an Israeli indie-folk album. Its rough, imperfect design was inspired by the contrast between underground rehearsal rooms and sparkling dreams of open stages. This simple-shaped font is tightly spaced and highlights the power and rawness—but also the vulnerabilities—of fringe culture. Form-wise, Roxen combines an elegant, refined geometric structure with a grungy finish that gives it a dirty, rebellious look. Together, these qualities make it especially suitable for bold, elegant headlines that wink at the margins while maintaining poise and backbone.

תנועת הפאנק החלה בסוף שנות ה־60 בדטרויט, המשיכה בתחילת שנות ה־70 בניו יורק והגיעה לשיאה דווקא בבריטניה בין השנים 1976 עד 1979. משמעות המילה ״Punk״ באנגלית היא ״פרחח״, או אדם או דבר נחות או חסר ערך. תחילתו של הפאנק בניו יורק הייתה כאנטי־תזה להלך הרוח המוזיקלי והתרבותי של אותה תקופה. הפאנק מטבעו היה אנטי־ממסדי, אנטי־אופנתי, חברה פנימית בתוך הנורמה, שהדגשים בה הם על חופש, שבירת מוסכמות, אנטגוניזם לכל מה שמייצגת החברה המערבית ואסתטיקה שמתבססת על פשטות ועל מחיקת הסטריאוטיפים הטבועים של ה״יפה״.

The punk subculture emerged in the mid-1970s; in New York in 1974 and in the United Kingdom in 1976. Some suggest the name “punk” was borrowed from prison slang. Early punk had an abundance of antecedents and influences, and Jon Savage describes the subculture as a “bricolage” of almost every previous youth culture in the Western world since World War II, “stuck together with safety pins”. Thomas Dellert aka “Tommy Dollar”, one of the early London punk rockers, standing with the Sex Pistols in 1975.
