The world on fire…Chicago sunset

The sun makes a lot of noise from the constant, turbulent movement of its plasma, but you can’t hear it because space is a vacuum, and sound requires a medium like air to travel. NASA probes have used specialized instruments to translate these vibrations, which are too low-frequency for humans to hear directly, into a low, powerful, and even deafening hum that scientists can then analyze, according to the YouTube and Facebook videos.
I am so sick of living in the dark
or light that’s so weak
I wonder what time of day or night it is
far too many years in the dark
I love Chicago
I hate the dark
I’m starting to imagine
what my life would have been like
if there had been sun
too late now
I’m just surprised
that those of us who live here
don’t all look like
vampires
pale
with huge eyes
that would allow us to see
in the
DARK
the worst part is that
I know the sun is up there
behind the million layers
of dark clouds
it’s RIGHT THERE
but hidden
kept from us
but some insane cloud maker
well
people move from here
because of the weather
I stayed
so it’s my own fault
but if I could
I’d buy a plane
and just fly around
in the sun all the time
until the radiation got me
🧛🏻

Info on Ra: Google

a pretty tarot card
we have gained 3 minutes of daylight
since December 22nd
it’s a start
hard to tell the three minutes are here
since it’s dark all the time
we had a beautiful fog
this morning
but it’s pretty much gone now
warmer temps
but the light is on its way back
and minute by minute
leads to summer
sun
flowers
color
no coats
outside
heat
beauty
and
delight
meanwhile
the world is gray
an in between place
neither here nor there
no snow to show that winter
is upon us
and it’s too soon for spring
so we linger in a
damp
gray
limbo
waiting
or hoping
for the
LIGHT

as we head into winter
my mind is here
where there’s clear water
sunshine
and a white sandy beach

it’s so warm
so nice
it makes me sleepy
I know
that darkness is coming
and the night will bring
coolness
but until then
here’s where I will sit
and catch the final rays

I can’t tell you how happy I was
to see this photo
I spent a LOT of time
right here
on the
North Avenue Rocks
(there are no rocks obviously)
I loved this place
still do
we all hung out here
including the life guards
we were tight with
it was wonderful
usually crowded
a beach is to the right
(you can see a bit of it)
and the rocks
are to the left
farther down
(you can’t see those LOL)
The Rocks are just a cement slab
the water is kind of deep
I’m flooded
with happy
memories
what a blast
behind the ice cream guy
you can see
Navy Pier sticking out
the ferris wheel
is over his shoulder
just a reminder
of my youth
and one good time
after another
seems like
a thousand years ago
or just yesterday

a star
dips below
the horizon
signaling
the end of another day
leaving darkness
in its wake
