The sun…noise.

Free Sun Planet illustration and picture
I was watching a program about space
and they said the sun is very
LOUD
and I thought
hmmm
there’s no sound in space
so how can they
hear the sun
making noise
***
here’s the answer
from Google

The sun makes a lot of noise from the constant, turbulent movement of its plasma, but you can’t hear it because space is a vacuum, and sound requires a medium like air to travel. NASA probes have used specialized instruments to translate these vibrations, which are too low-frequency for humans to hear directly, into a low, powerful, and even deafening hum that scientists can then analyze, according to the YouTube and Facebook videos.

I want sun. I just want it.

a large palm tree sitting next to a pink building

I am so sick of living in the dark
or light that’s so weak
I wonder what time of day or night it is
far too many years in the dark
I love Chicago
I hate the dark
I’m starting to imagine
what my life would have been like
if there had been sun
too late now
I’m just surprised
that those of us who live here
don’t all look like
vampires
pale
with huge eyes
that would allow us to see
in the
DARK
the worst part is that
I know the sun is up there
behind the million layers
of dark clouds
it’s RIGHT THERE
but hidden
kept from us
but some insane cloud maker
well
people move from here
because of the weather
I stayed
so it’s my own fault
but if I could
I’d buy a plane
and just fly around
in the sun all the time
until the radiation got me
🧛🏻

The sun belongs to…

Ra was one of the most important gods worshipped in ancient Egypt. He was the sun god and the creator of all other gods and humans. He was worshipped starting in around 2600 BCE and was a major part of ancient Egyptian religious life.

a man had to write that
it’s so not true
I mean it’s true that people
worshiped him
but he was just another
false god
they made up
men aren’t the one’s
who create life
women are
every chance they get
men pretend
that THEY are the creators
simply another lie they tell themselves
the sun belongs to women
the sun gives life
and so do we
sure you may be thinking
that without a bunch of sperm
no one would be here
but
we could just freeze some
of the wee swimmers
and women would be able
to still create life
men
even if they want to believe
they are all powerful and
the creators of everything
could not
okay
so
if they froze our eggs
they could make babies in jars
but women don’t need jars
or petri dishes
or anything in a lab
but because men
falsely believe themselves
to be the creators
they took the sun
for themselves
I think women should
take it back
and
we should still keep the moon
since we do a lot of magic
under it
the point is
the sun is ours
it’s a female
a creator
it’s what we are
and if there are no labs
and we end up back in the
stone age
after a nuclear war
men won’t be able
to make a wooly mammoth
more wolves
or babies in jars
nope
THE SUN IS OURS
and their sun god
can go sit down
and stop kidding himself
the sun is
A Goddess
Ra can go build a pyramid
somewhere
and sulk
or do whatever
gods do
when they are out of a job
actually
I think he died
either way
women
are powerful
WE are the creators
and men
will just have to get used
to it

Christmas is over…The Light is returning.

Free Close-up of a tarot card on a Christmas tree, adorned with sparkling lights and decorations. Stock Photo

a pretty tarot card
we have gained 3 minutes of daylight
since December 22nd
it’s a start
hard to tell the three minutes are here
since it’s dark all the time
we had a beautiful fog
this morning
but it’s pretty much gone now
warmer temps
but the light is on its way back
and minute by minute
leads to summer
sun
flowers
color
no coats
outside
heat
beauty
and
delight
meanwhile
the world is gray
an in between place
neither here nor there
no snow to show that winter
is upon us
and it’s too soon for spring
so we linger in a
damp
gray
limbo
waiting
or hoping
for the
LIGHT

Catching the last rays…

A white cat sitting on top of a wooden floor

it’s so warm
so nice
it makes me sleepy
I know
that darkness is coming
and the night will bring
coolness
but until then
here’s where I will sit
and catch the final rays

The North Avenue Rocks…Chicago

A man riding a bike next to a body of water

I can’t tell  you how happy I was
to see this photo
I spent a LOT of time
right here
on the
North Avenue Rocks
(there are no rocks obviously)
I loved this place
still do
we all hung out here
including the life guards
we were tight with
it was wonderful
usually crowded
a beach is to the right
(you can see a bit of it)
and the rocks
are to the left
farther down
(you can’t see those LOL)
The Rocks are just a cement slab
the water is kind of deep
I’m flooded
with happy
memories
what a blast
behind the ice cream guy
you can see
Navy Pier sticking out
the ferris wheel
is over his shoulder
just a reminder
of my youth
and one good time
after another
seems like
a thousand years ago
or just yesterday

Sunset…
