Rainy Day…

second rainy day
humidity will be 91%
it’s so gloomy
and dark
but tomorrow the sun
will return
and people won’t feel
so sleepy
and it’s very still outside
that kind of stillness
where no matter how long
you stare at the leaves on the trees
they don’t move
the kind of stillness
where when you stand in it
the world feels
different
out of sync
as if someone hit the pause button
and stopped the game
