Rethinking Life

Exiting 2024…

exits are funny things
some are elegant
some are silent
and a person just seems to have disappeared
others are loud and rowdy
with lots of yelling
waving
hugging
and all the rest
some are weepy
others happy
too fast
too slow
but no matter what
you can’t stop exits
from existing
2014 has had it’s turn
time to go
2015 is itching to begin
but what it holds for the world
is shrouded in the unknown
will the country survive next year
in any recognizable way
a convicted felon, rapist, liar, sociopath
is going to be in charge
he is an egomaniacal idiot
a buffoon of sorts
an emperor without clothes
the guy who said
may you live in interesting times
should be alive today
just remember that the orange one
wants to manipulate everyone
divide everyone
use everyone
remember that he’s a liar
has no good intentions
for the country
or the people
just for himself
and he’s too stupid
to understand that he’s a puppet
being used by others
so buckle your seatbelt
cuz it could be a bumpy ride
exiting
doesn’t mean that what’s on the other side of the door
is where you actually wanted to end up
but maybe it will be a walk in the park
and we will all be happily surprised
