Supposedly, life is all about…balance.

Free Selective Focus Photography of Round Black Rock Stock Photo
isn’t balance
different for everyone
some might spend
all of their time reading
or traveling
or sewing
or playing sports
to the exclusion
of everything else
but that’s just
doing what they love
not an imbalance
an imbalance
is when
what you’re doing
makes you sick
makes you lose others
makes your life a mess
makes you lose your job
makes you unhappy
so do what you love
because quite often
no on knows
how to truly define
words
in a way
that makes
any sense
to everyone

Definitions…

Free Dictionary Reference Book photo and picture

if your definition of success
is to get up in the morning
and do something you love
for fifteen minutes
then your chances
of having a wonderful day
are greatly increased
we define our own lives
if we say something is bad
then it’s bad
if we say something is good
then it’s good
sometimes we forget
that we can write
our own dictionary
and by doing so
we can define
our own lives

Neon…Questions…

Do Something Great neon signWhat is ‘something great,’ and who defines the word great?  What’s great to one person, may not be great to another.  It’s weird, but everything is like that.  Definitions are…pliable.  They bend and stretch, sometimes in order to cover lots of very bad and hateful things.

Definitions also change as time goes on.  Words can become so over used, they are almost meaningless.  Take the definition of  awesome, for example.  Nowadays, everything is awesome. Gum, shoes, the end of the world, having a good pizza, pretty much anything at all…can be awesome.

Definitions are just one more reason we don’t always understand what other people are saying…and vice versa.  Nothing on this planet is here to make things easy.  Nothing at all.  Everything here is set up to make things as difficult as possible.  Sometimes even impossible…there’s a lot of that here.  A lot.

Love…Definitions.

red heart and man hanging drawing

there are as many definitions of
LOVE
as there are people
and no two definitions are alike
I knew I was in love
when he walked into my life
and everyone else
simply
disappeared

Definitions…

It has been said that the definition of insanity is: is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results.

I think the definition of insanity is: spending endless amounts of money and the lives of one generations after another, fixing the problems we constantly create ourselves.

Okay, so…

I was looking at my PBS TV Guide to see if anything exciting was on tonight.  Father Brown is on at seven.  The episode is about the death of a WANTON woman.

I looked the word up, just to see how the dictionary defined it, and men are not mentioned once.  Apparently, only women can be immodest and promiscuous.  So many labels are used to control women’s behavior, and keep them in line.

Apparently, guys who are immodest and promiscuous are called, men.

Sacrifice…

noun

an act of slaughtering an animal or person or surrendering a possession as an offering to God or to a divine or supernatural figure: they offer sacrifices to the spirits | the ancient laws of animal sacrifice.

• an animal, person, or object offered in a sacrifice.

• an act of giving up something valued for the sake of something else regarded as more important or worthy: we must all be prepared to make sacrifices.

*****

Whether it’s a noun or a verb it’s all about killing animals and people for god…so many definitions about SACRIFICING for god.  Gag.

I don’t believe in sacrifice.  Here’s why.  If I do something for someone/some thing, I’m glad to do it, or I wouldn’t be doing it.

Killing animals as a sacrifice, instead of caring for animals and loving them, is what religions do and teach.  Same with killing people.  How’s that FOR TWISTED LOGIC.  Religion is a hateful and deadly thing.  Everything about it is concerned with death, murder, sacrifice and blood.  The death, murder, sacrifice and blood of OTHERS, not the people in charge, of course.  Never them.

This is why the world is so SCREWED UP.  Everything is BACKWARD.  Egomaniacs run the government and the church.  Both are willing to kill for themselves.  Neither sacrifices anything for anyone else but they constantly calls on OTHERS to do the SACRIFICING.

KILLING FOR SACRIFICE IS ALWAYS WRONG!  Sacrificial lambs…WRONG.  Sacrificing life for unfair and unjust wars…WRONG.  Sacrificing others for greed…WRONG.

They never teach the LOVING AND CARING FOR ANYTHING, which is never sacrificialSACRIFICE is all about  killing, death, greed and ego.  How can you sacrifice anything for those you care about or things you care about?  Anything done with good intention is never a sacrifice.

Even the god people believe in, “SACRIFICED” his only son.  Why didn’t he die in his place? Why did he send his kid there instead of going himself?   Always good questions.  I would die to save my kids…always.  When my son was dying I would have done ANYTHING to change places with him, so would my husband.  But not god.  Nope, he sends his kid to die and stays nice and safe on his cloud somewhere.  Even religious stories are twisted.  Dead kids, torture, dead lambs and rapist priests.  See, they try and tell you the love is IN the dying/death…it’s not.  That’s just another lie. To the church and government sacrifice means to SACRIFICE everyone but themselves.

When I was in Rome, and the pope was waving from his tiny window, telling EVERYONE ELSE TO GIVE MORE TO OTHERS, they were having  gazillion dollar show of precious gems and gold in one of the churches.  Just a few of the articles the catholic church owns but doesn’t melt down TO GIVE MORE TO OTHERS, but instead hoards for themselves. There was a fee to get into the rooms to SEE THE MONEY THEY KEPT FROM FOR THEMSELVES.  What a joke that was.  Bulletproof car?  I bet that cost a lot of money, money that could have fed the poor, but wait, the pope was in his window, telling the poor to sacrifice so they could give more money to the poor and to the church, so that HE could have more, without giving anything.

Some parents use the word sacrifice to guilt their kids into doing things.  That’s blackmail.  If people are worried about what they’re giving up, or about outcomes, then it’s better not to give, or do anything at all.  It’s too expensive for the person who is on the receiving end.  Guilt is an ugly and disgusting thing.  Sacrifice is too.

Sacrifices always have an undertone of selfishness and power over others.  It’s a really a bad thing.  The church and government try to turn sacrifice into something people get points for but that’s not true. That’s manipulation and brainwashing.  People often feel self-righteous because of what they believe they have given up, or sacrificed, for others.  That’s a joke, you know that don’t you?  Ego and power, that’s what it’s really about.

If people feel as if they are sacrificing anything for someone, or some thing, they need to think about what they’re doing and who they’re doing it to and for.   Giving something freely is never a sacrifice.

Hey, I’m just sayin’.
