Last on the Card – For May 2024 – Critters & Gnomes

For Brian’s Challenge:

Last on the Card – 31 May

***

Both these photos were taken this past week (Monday & Wednesday) on my Iphone 13. You can click photo to enlarge.

This is a picture I took of one of my coloring book pages. It’s a different kind of deal, where the pages already have color blotches everywhere, and we, ourselves have to draw in any design we can imagine. It’s called a Reverse Coloring Book. So much fun!

I just drew a bunch of odd looking critters on this colorful page and titled it ‘the critter forest’. 🙂

***

We finished this jigsaw puzzle on Wednesday. It’s cute and colorful. and is called ‘the gnome county fair’. there are all kinds of carnival things like games, rides and fun food that a lot of gnome people are enjoying.

April Gone Rogue Badge

***

We always have a jigsaw puzzle out to work on off and on during the day. We have lots that we’ve bought or been given, and we’ve worked most all of them many times.

We especially like the ones with cats in the picture, but we do all kinds and all different puzzle piece counts from 350 to 1,000.

This one is called, “Picture Purrfect”. It is one of the Cats series of Buffalo brand puzzles, and is 750 pieces. Very cute. 🙂It shows an old fashioned dresser that a lady might have (green antique looking) with make up and jewelry and an oval mirror. There is a tabby cat standing looking into the mirror. It is 750 pieces.

***

**

I liked this one a lot, because it was all about spooky things of Halloween! It has a haunted house, monsters of all kinds and ghostly looking things. It is 500 pieces.

We have done this one more than once, and it’s the one we are working on again right now. We’re about 3/4 done with it.

A ghost of light and stars are sounding. A shell and star can be the robins.

The moon shall be set; and the soft veil, the thunder of the stream of the wind was done

Our cat shall stand in spirit, emotional stars court the heavens of the world

Strange rings, this music which should have all the souls.

Stream of Consciousness Saturday – Yarn

Stream of Consciousness Saturday – Yarn

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS June 5, 2021

***

Here’s todays SOCS prompt from Linda G. Hill! Thanks so much for always having interesting ideas to write about! 🙂

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “yarn.” Use it any way you’d like. Enjoy!

***

Yarn is very handy, if you’ve a mind to try it

All the pretty colors, but found I couldn’t knit it

I used to do crochet, and I do have to say

I made a lot of things, way back in the day

***

Yep, I used to crochet a lot of things. I made some large blankets, and cute stuffed toys, and even doll dresses.

These days I don’t. It’s been a lot of years since I tried to make a scarf, and it’s just sitting there.

Yarn is useful in other ways, though. I use it to tie things, and in crafting other things. It’s good for use as colorful ribbons and pom poms on gift packages. A strange use I have for yarn is to wrap some multi-colored lines around the earpieces of my glasses. It helps keep the metal frame from irritating my skin over my ears. Looks kinda cool, actually. The latest thing I used some for is to repair a cat toy. It is a fishing pole deal with a toy on the end, and the string had broken.

Yarn to the rescue!
