SOCS – jumble

Here’s a big jumble of puzzle pieces. At first it’s a mess, so I have to turn every piece over to the printed picture, then find the outside pieces. This takes awhile. Finally we’re ready to fit the pieces together. 🙂

Here’s a couple of those books of word puzzle games called Jumble. I have several of these, and for some reason I just am no good at unscrambling the jumbled up words. Short ones, long ones, I have so much trouble with it, so I do a few and get frustrated and give up. Crossword puzzles are a cinch for me, but jumbles are definitely  not easy.

Here’s another jigsaw puzzle we’ve done recently. It has 7 cats in the picture, all are relaxing and having a picnic by the sea. Some are wearing sunglasses and hats, some have cooling drinks, and the menu looks to be fish, chips, cake, donuts, and cherries. 🙂

We just finished working this jigsaw puzzle the other day. It was a new one we hadn’t worked before, and was fun to do.

There are seven (7) cute kittens lounging around in a living room, playing with yarn and other toys. There is a fireplace, a nice big vase of flowers, and pink and green plush furniture.

Misleading?? Huh??

So, I found out by a FB notice that they removed one of my posts on there from the other day.

It said that my post was trying to get view, likes, and shares, and video?? in a misleading way.

Hmmm …

I never ever post a full anything over there. I only post a link to my blog here, plus the title. Why is that misleading? No one ever even looks at my FB stuff anyway. Well one person does, but even that person hasn’t in a while.

What was the linked post? It was the one for Writer’s Workshop – Jigsaw Puzzles. That’s all it said. It was from this past Thursday, August 1st.

Here’s the notice I got:

I’m not going to review or protest their removing it. Like I said, no one ever looks at my FB stuff anyway, much less follows the link to over here at my blog.

I got a notice another time, it was either FB or Twitter for a flower link. I only post links to my blog. I never say anything on either place. The flower that got removed was for a Pussy Willow. I can kind of see why that might be questionable (not really), but still, people, it’s a legitimate flower! That’s all. Here’s that link: https://wp.me/p3RE1e-g2R

Last on the Card – For May 2024 – Critters & Gnomes

Both these photos were taken this past week (Monday & Wednesday) on my Iphone 13. You can click photo to enlarge.

This is a picture I took of one of my coloring book pages. It’s a different kind of deal, where the pages already have color blotches everywhere, and we, ourselves have to draw in any design we can imagine. It’s called a Reverse Coloring Book. So much fun!

I just drew a bunch of odd looking critters on this colorful page and titled it ‘the critter forest’. 🙂

We finished this jigsaw puzzle on Wednesday. It’s cute and colorful. and is called ‘the gnome county fair’. there are all kinds of carnival things like games, rides and fun food that a lot of gnome people are enjoying.

Just Jot It Jauary # 9 – Passtime

Your prompt for JusJoJan January 9th, 2024 is “pastime.” Use the word “pastime” any way you’d like. Enjoy!

I’ve always liked lots of passtimes, even when I didn’t really have time for them all, I still made time, somehow. I’ve gone through years of sewing, embroidery, and crochet. I’ve done all kinds of crafts, too. But the ones that stick around the longest for me are these: painting with acrylics on canvas and rocks, working jigsaw puzzles, reading all kinds of books, and writing in all kinds of notebooks. And of course blogging, which is what I do the longest every day.

Here are a few photos of my passtimes:

Here’s a painting I did a long time go. It has an orange background, and the name of my blog ‘teleportingweena’ lettered in black. All around are squiggly lines, curvy lines, curly lines, swirly lines, and dotted lines. The are done in yellow, white, tan and pink.

Working jigsaw puzzles (this partially done one has a bunch of cats)

Reading many books (just one of the shelves for my books – a huge mish mash of all kinds.

Writing in notebooks (I wrote every word of my fan fiction story [Two Souls: Into the Fire] in spiral notebooks by hand. There’s a lot of them.

Where I spend most of the day …

This is my very own computer corner. It’s in the living room. My computer desk, chair, shelf, calendar, edge of our entertainment center shelves, and my cross collection on the wall.

Seven More Jigsaw Puzzles

Seven More Jigsaw Puzzles

We’ve been steadily working on our jigsaw puzzles this past month. Here’s six that we’ve finished, and one we just started on.

This first one we just started yesterday. So far, so good. It’s called, “Puzzler’s Desk”, and is a Buffalo brand puzzle, and is 750 pieces.

I liked this next one a lot. We just got done with it a day or so ago. It has funny words on the items in the pantry, all to do with cats. 🙂 There were lots of pieces with specific words or pictures on them, so it was easier than some other puzzles. It is called, “Ethel the Gormet”, and is from, “The Cats of Charles Wysocki”, a Buffalo brand puzzle. It is 750 pieces

This one is called, “Kitten Kitchen Capers”, and is a Buffalo brand puzzle. It is 750 pieces, and was fun to do. Those cats were sure making a mess.

This one is called, “Classic Gas”. It is 750 pieces, from, “Wheels”, from the Master Pieces brand puzzle.

Here’s a few extra photos of puzzle things: 2 pieces that look like other things, puzzle dust (from the cardboard they are made from), and a large spatula we use to gather up lots of puzzle pieces at one time. 🙂

This one is called, “Roadside America”. It is a White Mountain puzzle brand, and is 1,000 pieces. Lots of things to find on this one!

This one is called, “The Man Cave”, and has lots of hobby type things in the room. It is a Ravensburger puzzle of 1,000 pieces.

This one is called, “Picture Purrfect”. It is one of the Cats series of Buffalo brand puzzles, and is 750 pieces. Very cute. 🙂

Next up I think we will do a Halloween themed puzzle that we already bought! 🙂
