China Railway adjusts the train schedule: the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the core freight hub in Tibet achieve direct connection.
Xining, July 1 (Qi Zengbei, Wu Daojie) Starting from midnight on July 1, China Railway has implemented a new train operation schedule. In the new map, 1 pair of Guangdong Jiangcun to Tibet Xigaze West freight passenger intercity trains have been added, achieving a direct connection between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the core freight hub in Tibet.

Fan ShubingThe Xigaze West Station is the only freight station on the Lhasa-Xigaze extension line of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway (Lhasa to Xigaze), undertaking the task of the initial departure of all freight trains on the line. After its operation on August 15, 2014, it changed the long-term dependence on road transportation in the southwest of Tibet, becoming the logistics core node connecting Lhasa and Xigaze, and also the core freight hub in Tibet.
Previously, the railway department has opened 3 pairs of scheduled freight intercity trains to Tibet, namely, from Wuhu East in Anhui to Xigaze West in Tibet, from Xi'an International Port in Shaanxi to Xigaze West in Tibet, and from Xining in Qinghai to Lhasa West in Tibet.

Fan ShubingThe newly added Guangdong Jiangcun to Tibet Xigaze West passenger train as a new freight channel between Guangdong and Tibet, will reduce the logistics cost between the two places through a scaled and intensive transportation mode, and effectively promote the two-way circulation of characteristic agricultural products and industrial products along the route.

It is reported that after the adjustment of the train schedule, the Qinghai-Tibet Group Company has operated 103.5 pairs of passenger trains, an increase of 4 pairs compared to the current map. In terms of passenger transport, the running section of the passenger train from Wulumuqi South to Nantong has been extended to Qidong; the EMU trains from Beijing West to Xining and from Panzhihua South to Xining have been adjusted from single-group operation to coupled operation; the EMU trains from Shanghai Hongqiao to Xining have been changed from the original CR400BF model to the CR400BF-S model; the operation schedule of 3 pairs of EMU trains between Lhasa and Xigaze has been optimized; and 2 pairs of peak EMU trains between Xining and Lanzhou West have been added.

Currently, the railway travel code has covered all EMU trains in China, and convenient transfers can be made at 120 stations nationwide, with 84 stations providing online catering services.
