Nanning, July 1 (Mo Yujie, Song Yijie, Feng Rongquan) The Nanning Railway Bureau Group Co., Ltd. of China Railway (hereinafter referred to as 'Guotie Nanning Bureau') introduced on July 1 that on June 30, a cargo train carrying 130 tons of fertilizer departed from Nanning, Guangxi, and after transshipment via Kunming, Yunnan through the Nankun Railway, this batch of goods will be connected with the international train from Wángjiāyíng West to Móhān at the border, and sent to Vientiane, Laos through the China-Laos Railway, greatly compressing the transportation time, providing convenient and quick transportation guarantees for the export of goods from Guangxi.

'Previously, Guangxi's goods had to be transported from Fangchenggang to Vietnam, and then to Laos, taking 8 to 10 days in total. Now, with the special railway train, the travel time from Guangxi to Laos takes only 3 days, greatly improving our transportation efficiency,' said Liao Dongfu, General Manager of Guangxi Guiwu Logistics Service Group Co., Ltd.

It is learned that with the deep implementation of the 'Belt and Road' initiative and the continuous release of the RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) dividends, economic and trade exchanges between China and ASEAN countries have become closer. At the beginning of April 2022, the first China-Laos international cargo train departed from Nanning, Guangxi, opening up a new efficient and convenient international cargo transportation channel between Nanning and Vientiane. Over the years, the Nanning Railway Bureau of the State Railway of China has focused on the cross-border cargo transportation needs of China and Laos, continuously optimizing transportation services, and injecting new vitality into bilateral trade.

In recent years, when exploring international markets, Guangxi logistics companies have noticed that overseas customers attach great importance to reliable logistics transportation, and stable logistics channels are of great significance to cross-border trade. Railway transportation has a large carrying capacity and stable operations, which can better meet the needs of cross-border cargo transportation.
