From Guangdong Railway Group, it was learned that during the summer peak season, Guangdong Railway is expected to send 133 million passengers, with an average of 2.142 million passengers sent daily, an increase of 5.8% year-on-year, reaching a new high for the same period in history.
Among them, the highest daily figure is expected to be August 9th, when 2.56 million passengers will be sent, an increase of 148,000 passengers year-on-year, with an increase of 6.1%.

This summer peak season, the passenger flow of Guangdong Railway Group is characterized by the dominance of student flows, tourism flows, and family visits, with business flows as a supplement. The student and tourism flows mainly traverse between major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and popular scenic areas; the student family visit flows converge from inland small and medium-sized cities to major cities such as Guangzhou, Dongguan, and Shenzhen in the early stage, and then embark on the journey back home from the big cities in the later stage. Affected by the student passenger flow, the first and second weeks of July and the first and second weeks of August, as well as weekends, will see peak passenger flow, but the overall passenger travel is relatively balanced.
In addition, Guangdong Railway Group has also made full preparations in advance and taken multiple measures to enhance the travel experience of passengers. Continuous optimization of ticket purchasing services, continuation of the summer student ticket reservation system, and prioritization of the ticket purchasing needs of student passengers. In terms of hardware facilities, the Guangzhou South Railway Station has upgraded and transformed 218 ticket gates for entry and exit, replaced 87 waiting room love seats, and added 5 sets of scenic rest seats, further optimizing the waiting environment.
