The first high-speed railway in the northern Shaanxi revolutionary old area has achieved track connection.
Yan'an, Shaanxi, July 1st (Zhang Yuan, Li Yifan) - On the 1st, with the last pair of long steel rails precisely laid, the track laying of the Xi'an to Yan'an High-Speed Railway reached Yan'an, Shaanxi, marking the successful completion of the track connection for the railway constructed by the Shaanxi Company of the Xi'an-Chengdu Passenger Dedicated Line and laid by the China Railway 11th Bureau. This lays a solid foundation for the timely opening and operation of the Xi'an to Yan'an High-Speed Railway.
The Xi'an to Yan'an High-Speed Railway crosses the loess plateau gully area, with a bridge-tunnel ratio of 91% along the entire line. The track laying construction is challenging with tight schedules, requiring high precision in operations and frequent cross-construction activities.
The rail laying construction started on April 18 this year, with the rail laying section from Xi'an North Station to Yan'an Station, and the length of the main line rail laying reached 600 kilometers. In order to ensure the safety and order of rail laying construction, the Xi'an Special Express Railway Co., Ltd. in Shaanxi Province adopts a domestically advanced intelligent engineering line scheduling information platform independently developed, which remotely monitors the operation status of key equipment such as rail laying units, long rail transport trains, and mobile rail welding equipment in real-time. Equipped with an intelligent prediction module, it realizes visual intelligent management and advanced early warning of potential safety hazards.
Zhou Weimin, the commanding officer of the Xi'an to Yan'an high-speed railway command department of the Xi'an Special Express Railway Co., Ltd. in Shaanxi Province, introduced that as of now, the key construction tasks such as the foundation, bridges, tunnels, and ballastless track of the Xi'an to Yan'an high-speed railway have all been completed. The foundations and main structures of the newly built 8 stations have also been completed. The follow-up will focus on key tasks such as 'four electricity' construction, static acceptance, and joint debugging and testing to prepare for the opening and operation.
Lin Zhengdong, the responsible person for the rail laying construction site of China Railway No. 11 Bureau, introduced that in order to ensure the quality of rail welding, the site uses advanced electromagnetic induction normalizing equipment to precisely heat the welding joints through electromagnetic induction technology, effectively overcoming uncontrollable factors such as fire hole status, gas quality, and flow during flame heating, significantly improving the heating quality, and thereby ensuring the high-quality completion of rail welding. At the same time, a new type of mobile switch turnout flash welding rail machine is used for flash welding of turnouts, greatly enhancing the stability and load capacity of the joints.
The construction of the Xi'an to Yan'an high-speed railway involves on-site operations at Yan'an Station. In order to ensure construction safety and orderly passenger travel, the station has taken a series of control and guidance measures. Gao Fengtao, the station master of Yan'an Station of the Xi'an Bureau of China Railway Group Co., Ltd., introduced that in terms of construction area control, Yan'an Station has set up a 1800-meter solid isolation at the boundary between the newly built high-speed field and the existing passenger field, ensuring passenger safety through physical isolation and regional control. At the same time, the station has also launched an optimized passenger flow scheme, adding a fifth waiting room, setting up 6 real-name verification channels, and redesigning the entry and boarding paths. After optimization, the average waiting time for passengers has been reduced to 15 minutes, which not only effectively relieves the pressure of summer travel peak traffic but also reserves sufficient construction time for the timely opening of the Xi'an to Yan'an high-speed railway through efficient organization.
According to reports, the Xi'an to Yan'an high-speed railway is the first high-speed railway in the northern Shaanbei revolutionary old district and is an important part of the Bay (Yin) to Hebei high-speed railway channel of the national high-speed railway network. Together with the ongoing construction of the Xi'an to Chongqing high-speed railway, it forms a major north-south passage. The total length of the line is 299.8 kilometers, and the construction standard is double-track high-speed railway with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
After the completion and operation of the line, the running time from Xi'an to Yan'an will be shortened from the current 2.5 hours to about 1 hour, which is of great significance for further promoting the strategy of great development in the western region, helping the revitalization of rural areas in revolutionary old districts, accelerating the construction of the Bay-to-Hebei high-speed railway channel, further improving and optimizing the layout of the national high-speed railway network, and enhancing the regional advantages of Shaanxi Province and the hub position of the national railway network.
