A total of 117 new international cargo routes were opened in China in the first half of the year.
Beijing, July 2, Xinhua News Agency (Reporter Ruan Yulin) The Aviation Logistics Division of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing released data on July 2, showing that as of June 30, 2025, a total of 117 new international cargo routes were opened nationwide, with more than 233 round-trip flights added per week.
The newly opened international cargo routes in the first half of the year mainly have routes to Asia and Europe. Among them, there are 54 routes to Asia, 45 routes to Europe, 12 routes to North America, 2 routes to South America, 2 routes to Oceania, and 2 routes to Africa. A total of 42 airlines are involved, including 15 domestic airlines. The cargo structure mainly includes cross-border e-commerce goods, electronic products, auto parts, machinery and equipment, fresh goods, special agricultural products, clothing, and general cargo.

The analysis report on the newly opened cargo routes in China from 2024 to 2025 released recently by the division shows that the supply of aviation cargo in China is continuously increasing, and the guarantee capacity is improving, while the demand for aviation logistics remains high. According to incomplete statistics, from January 1, 2024, to April 30, 2025, a total of 243 international cargo routes were newly opened nationwide, covering all six continents of the world.
The responsible person of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing stated that the Chinese route network is accelerating expansion and continuously weaving an international route network. Currently, the aviation cargo channels with the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau, and Chengdu-Chongqing four world-class airport clusters as the core are forming, providing access to the Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia markets, and the aviation cargo network reaching Europe, America, Australia, and other regions is gradually improving, and its supporting role in maintaining the stability of the industrial chain and supply chain is becoming increasingly prominent.
