In the first half of this year, the sea-rail combined transport at Beibu Gulf Port in Guangxi exceeded 250,000 TEUs.
Nanning, July 2 (Reporter Yang Chen) The Guangxi Beibu Gulf International Port Group introduced on July 2 that in the first half of this year, the volume of sea-rail combined transport containers at Beibu Gulf Port exceeded 250,000 TEUs, achieving the阶段性 goal of 'half the time, half the task' for the whole year.
In recent years, Guangxi has continuously promoted the high-standard construction of the Beibu Gulf International Port and the international hub sea port, and has continuously improved the construction of port and navigation infrastructure networks. As of the end of May, Beibu Gulf Port has opened a total of 84 container shipping routes, including 52 foreign trade routes, and has built a global route network that reaches North America, South America, Africa, India, Pakistan, and other places. The successive opening of new routes such as 'Beibu Gulf Port - Haiphong Port - Kolkata Port' and 'Beibu Gulf Port - Abu Dhabi' has made the channels more open and logistics more smooth, further consolidating the status of Beibu Gulf Port as a regional hub port.

Data shows that the maximum handling volume per shift in 2025 reached 1,163 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 37.6%; the unloading time of the downstream trains was compressed by 50%; the fixed train service reached 23 trains, and the transportation time from Qinzhou to Chongqing, Kunming, and Chengdu was significantly shortened. The service network has covered 18 provinces, 74 cities, and 160 stations.

In addition, through joint innovation with the railway department this year, Beibu Gulf Port has promoted new models such as 'one document system' and railway logistics total package, and has added 9 new projects including the train service from Guilin to Vietnam, Japan, and South Korea for furniture and copper products, and the foreign trade train from Nanning, Guangxi to Haiphong, Vietnam, etc. The special products of ASEAN are accelerating their entry into the Chinese market, and products such as Malaysia's durian and Vietnamese starch have formed stable transportation categories. The channel's carrying capacity and radiation scope continue to enhance.
