Changsha, July 2 (Deng Xia, Li Ping, Yu Yang) The Hunan Frontier Inspection Bureau revealed on July 2 that in the first half of 2025, more than 780,000 people entered and exited through Hunan ports, a 7% increase year-on-year. Among them, more than 450,000 were foreigners, accounting for 58%, an increase of 2.8% year-on-year, a historical record for the same period since the opening of Hunan ports.
Data shows that in the first half of the year, foreigners entering through Hunan air ports came from 132 countries, with South Korea, Malaysia, and Thailand ranking first, second, and third in terms of the number of people. Among the entering foreigners, those enjoying mutual visa exemption, unilateral visa exemption, and 24/240-hour transit visa exemption policies accounted for 90%, with more than 200,000 people, which is 1.7 times higher than the same period in 2024. More than 94% of the reasons for entering the foreign travelers were sightseeing and leisure.

In the first half of the year, more than 320,000 residents of Hunan entered and exited through air ports, an increase of 14.5% year-on-year. Among the countries visited by outbound residents, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore ranked first, second, and third in terms of the number of people.
In the first half of the year, there were more than 530,000 entry-exit personnel at Changsha Air Port, an increase of 9.8% year-on-year, of which foreigners accounted for 40%; more than 3,600 flights entered and exited, an increase of 5.4% year-on-year, of which more than 3,200 were passenger flights, an increase of 14.7%. In the first half of the year, nearly 250,000 people entered and exited at Zhangjiajie Air Port, an increase of 1.6% year-on-year, of which nearly 240,000 were foreigners, accounting for 96%; international passenger flights were more than 1,600, an increase of 9.2% year-on-year.

Before the flight lands, travel agencies and airlines are guided to organize passengers to fill out the foreign entry cards.
