Founded in 1968, UnidosUS is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that serves as the nation’s largest Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization.

Through a combination of expert research, advocacy programs, and an Affiliate Network of nearly 300 community-based organizations across the United States and Puerto Rico, UnidosUS works to elevate the voice of Latinos, and defend and advancing its community’s concerns.

The organization focuses on the following issues:

  • Education
  • Health
  • Housing and financial empowerment
  • Immigration
  • Racial equity
  • Workforce Development
  • Voting and political empowerment

In the Education area, the organization advocates for policies and programs that provide Latinos and English learners with high-quality education from early childhood through college, career and technical training, and beyond.

In the Workforce development area, the organization works to ensure that Latinx jobseekers have access to jobs that pay family-sustaining wages and offer opportunities for career advancement and to remove the barriers that create unequal challenges for communities of color when they enter the workforce.
