Refer questions to the Library

The Archive contains historical documents, including languishing or disappearing websites (project-based, many funded by foundations) that may be of interest to stakeholders, particularly for research. The following items have either been de-funded, retired, or shut down. Some of the links featured below still point to live sites and resources. We periodically capture archival copies of these sites to ensure continued access. If a live link becomes unavailable, we will update it to point to our archived version.

Rebooting the Web of Trust

Rebooting the Web of Trust

From 2015 through 2023, RWOT held a dozen in-person collaborative writing workshops dedicated to exploring new approaches in decentralized identity. Workshops held in the United States, France, Spain, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and Germany produced 73 collective papers and codebases, all available for reuse under public license. The Library's Archive is providing a permanent home for these materials to ensure they remain accessible to researchers, developers, policymakers, and others shaping the learn-and-work ecosystem.
