Founded in 2020, AdeptID is a public benefit corporation using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to facilitate job mobility for workers, particularly the 80 million Americans without four-year degrees. The company aids the U.S. workforce by identifying transferable skills beyond traditional criteria and partnering with training providers and employers to connect diverse talent with in-demand jobs.

Workforce organizations and training providers use the AdeptID platform to match learners to jobs with personalized and data-driven recommendations. The platform focuses on:

  • matching learners to jobs with personalized and data-driven recommendations
  • using AI to streamline the learner-to-job matching process and instantly recommending and ranking candidates to jobs
  • delivering candidate assessments across relevant dimensions including work history, skills, certifications, and education
  • customizing recommendations for learners based on their curriculum, not just their resumes
  • advising on career pathways with rationale behind recommendations including a skill report that details the competencies a candidate brings and what up-skilling might be needed.

Publications and research from AdeptID include Measuring the Impact of Non-Degree Training Programs. AdeptID's research indicates that while non-degree training programs are seen as a path for skill development and new careers, their effectiveness on career success has been hard to quantify. The findings show varied outcomes, with some programs leading to higher wages and promotions, while others do not provide significant benefits, suggesting a need for data-informed choices to find and expand effective programs.
