Navigating the Software
The software's main navigation menu is located on the left-hand side with a secondary menu across the top.
The main navigation menu is located on the left-hand side of the software. It contains home, notifications, time, team, Portfolio, +new, help and your account menu.
Across the horizontal secondary menu, you'll see My Summary, Team Summary, Portfolio Summary, list, board, calendar & files.
Your progress across the software will autosave regardless of your project view.
Your Home View
The "Home" tab is exclusive to each user and customized views won't impact other users' views. Users can choose their preferred view to work out of and don't need to update tasks across views.
Choose your preferred view and manage all delegated task assignments in real time. When a user updates or filters their preferred view (list, board, calendar) within the Home area, the movement or filters applied doesn't impact anything at a project level.
Only updates for progress, time, updating notes, entering comments, or any additional updates within a task will update concurrently on the project plan. The "Home" area is the primary view for task assignments, personal/team metrics and collaboration. This area allows users to stay up to date with Project Pulse and Workstreams.
Users can customize their views by updating their secondary navigation ribbon to remove views they don't wish to see. Users can add "non-project tasks," or personal tasks or reminders that aren't tied to a project plan.
Users have their own file library to help keep organized and store vital work docs to later be added to a task or directly into a project plan (Project > Files).
3 Distinct Home Views
Within the "home" section of the software, you'll see the top navigation menu change.

There are three home views including:
Notifications
Notifications show you a list of real-time in-product notifications. The bell icon will have a dot in the top right to alert you when you have new notifications.

Click the gear icon on the top right of the popup to customize which notifications you receive. Choose your settings for tasks created by you or assigned to you. You can also choose to mute all notifications or clear all notifications which removes all previous notifications.
Time
Click on the time section to be taken to your timesheets (if you have access through your edition).

Team
The team page shows you all of the assigned tasks and projects for your entire team.

Portfolio
If portfolio features are included in your plan, you will see the portfolio section in your main navigation. This contains project information across your entire portfolio including a portfolio dashboard, reports, workload and roadmap.

Note: Portfolio features are only available on Business and above.

"+ New" Button
You'll see the "+ New" button at the bottom of the main menu. You can use this button to create a task, project or meeting, and invite a new team member.

Account Menu
In the account menu, here's what you can do:
- Enable light mode or dark mode
- Edit your account profile
- Set and customize your alerts
- Edit your security settings
- Set holidays
- Update your account information
- Change your password
- Manage users
- Log out
