Project Calendar Overview
Plan your projects and tasks on our calendar view and drag & drop for easy scheduling changes.
The calendar view is a visual representation of your current workload and projects. You may choose to start a project using the calendar if you prefer to use a visual calendar view and you don’t need to add Gantt-specific features, such as dependencies, immediately.
Check out our quick video of the calendar view below.
Calendar View Options
The calendar can visualize dates and duration in an easy-to-read format. The calendar view is helpful if you plan your projects a month at a time, or if you would like to see how dates line up over the course of days and weeks. You can change your view by clicking the three horizontal lines on the top right of the calendar.
There are three options for your calendar view display:
- Due date and duration: This view populates a task bar - either on the task due date or over the entire task duration.
- Task and assignee: This view populates with either the task name or the task assignee.
- Default or Gantt colors: You can choose tasks to populate with default or Gantt colors.

Create and View Tasks and Meetings on the Calendar
Support efficient planning by creating both tasks and meetings via the calendar view, adding additional detail to the associated task and meeting cards.
Hover over the calendar cell of the start date you wish to schedule your task or meeting on, and Click '+ create' to display the 'Create New' pop-up.

Here you can choose to create your task or meeting, adding necessary details such as the name, assignees/attendees, and the project the item belongs to.

Your Tasks and Meetings will populate your calendar view. Hover over the item name for a snapshot of task or meeting detail, or click to display the associated card, which has the functionality to add much more detailed information.

Drag and Drop
Simply drag and drop your tasks and meetings to change the start date.

Note: If you've added dependencies to your tasks, your dependencies will be enforced when you move a dependent task on the calendar.
Summary and Milestone Tasks
Summary tasks will appear on the Calendar identified by a small triangular icon displayed in the top LHS corner of the taskbar. Milestones will be indicated by the diamond icon that appears on the RHS of the taskbar.

Filtering
Set the filters on your calendar view to show tasks with specific assignees, due date, progress, priority, tags and task type. A simple click of the 'Clear filters' option will clear and reset your filtered view.

Syncing With Other Calendars
You can sync your project calendar with third-party calendars such as Outlook, Google or Apple Mail. Just click the Share icon at the top right, click Copy Link button, then paste the link into your mail app.
