The Numbers Game #6, Jan 22, 2024

***

The media number we are to look at, I think, is # 126. Here’s what I find …

  • all color assortment of beads and buttons & beads spelling out ‘rainbow’
  • Our black dog Bud (many years ago) in his Halloween costume I made, top hat, bow tie & wrist cuffs
  • One of the orange cats that used to be around here. He’s on top of the post that holds the bird feeder, waiting for a bird. Behind him on the fence is a bird keeping an eye on the cat. haha
  • my painting of flamingos, pink/black beaks, and lots of green leaves

“PLEASE INTRODUCE YOURSELF”

Hi there! I was created by the nice lady. She calls me a purse, but I’m confused. I am a decorated wooden box, with a handle. She’s never used me as a purse, or hand bag, or anything, really. I could be a treasure box, or a jewelry box, or a memento box, but so far I’ve just sat here looking cute.

The nice lady glued all kinds of things onto me. Mostly the items are things to do with all the pets she’s had over the years. There are photos of the cats and dogs, a parakeet, and gerbils, and there is a photo of her, when she was a little girl. She called herself ‘Critter Girl’.  There is also beads, a dog tag, and chain. Inside you can look at yourself in a little round mirror. The handle beads spell out ‘Friends’, which is a nice touch, as all her pets were her friends.

Several more box/purses were made to give to her daughters and sister, with photos of memories of them on the sides and back. The nice lady has two more blank boxes she could decorate someday. 🙂
