Xi was hell-bent to attack Taiwan. Xi fired five of the other six Military Commission officers, the most powerful men in China, including 75 year old Zhang, a lifelong friend, son of the lifelong friend of Xi’s father… And chief of the entire Chinese army. So the US Navy has sent all the Iranian ships to the bottom of the sea, or even up in the air. The message to Xi? Don’t invade Taiwan, this is not the 1930s. This time the USA will not betray democracy and in particular France and Britain (which together have 8 of the 22 nuclear strategic ballistic submarines, the SSBN; each can kill more than 50 million people in twenty minutes… As a French admiral quipped, “we think that’s sufficient”).

In the 1930s, the greedy Roosevelt, wrongly venerated by naive Democrats, and the even more naive nations whom he “liberated” (after betraying them), before giving half of Europe to genocidal Stalin, wanted very much that US plutocrats could do with the European empires as they wished: carve and exploit. So Roosevelt allowed the Gettys to fuel Japan’s invasion of China, starting before 1931… Knowing full well it would excite the Nazis, Soviets, etc., as it proved the USA wanted them to carve their empires… And Roosevelt let Texaco fuel the invasion of Spain by Franco and the Nazis (the idiotic Hitler laughed about it for years, not realizing he, Hitler, had been played). Meanwhile hyper plutocrat Harriman, grand old man of the Democratic Party, and son of the railroad magnate Harriman, was busy providing the financial and human capital, the engineering the Soviets needed to exploit the Baku OFFSHORE oil fields, making the American the “Czar of the Kremlin”. Mussolini and Hitler would have been nothing without US plutocrats.
In 1939, 1940, and actually starting in 1933, Roosevelt refused to help the French Republic against the Nazis. As early as Spring 1933, FDR effected a spectacular 180 degree turn, after a visit by the French Prime Minister, within weeks, with a discourse in Geneva which threw democracy to the wolves. Roosevelt knew the world war was coming: he would make sure of it. And make sure that he would win it. Proof? He ordered, at the same time as he betrayed the French in 1933, the construction of 24 (two dozen) gigantic FLEET aircraft carriers…Several times more than the rest of the planet combined in the next 50 years (Roosevelt would also later order the construction of several dozen ESCORT aircraft carriers…).
Roosevelt started to invent the pretext of “isolationism” in 1935, well after he betrayed the French.
Up to August 1942 (yes 6 months after Hitler declared war on the USA) Prescott Bush managed what Hitler called “His most important defense company”. Yes, IBM had the monopoly of computing in Germany and fuel was made from secret US tech, etc…
The truth is simple: WW1 and WW2 were craftily and Machiavellianistically greatly organized by the USA so that European democracies would be wrecked and their empire ready to dissolve in US plutocratic maw. Proof? USA became immensely wealthier by breaking the embargo against the Kaiser fascist invasive racist empire. The Germans would have had to capitulate quickly if not for the run of the Franco-British blockade by US plutocrats, early in the war (the German Chancelor at the time said they would have had to capitulate within 18 months, max). The US charged every single bullet in WW1 to France (with punishing interest). France spent five TRILLIOn (yes, with a T) for the US Independence War and did not charge one single bullet (and made up to 90% of them).

Europe was devastated by US plutocracy in the Twentieth Century, with the help of idiotic racist and hateful Germans not understanding a thing… And manipulated from afar. Then, after 1945, the US installed a defeatist mentality in Europe, mostly by financing defeatist pedocriminal “intellectuals” starting with crypto Nazis like De Beauvoir (a professional Vichy propagandist) and Sartre (who never knew a tyrant he didn’t love). Michel Foucault was from the next generation of crazed (literally) French theorists, in love with all the little boys the Ayatollahs provided him with (they could BDSM together).
In the 1930s, the democracies did nothing as the Axis of Evil spread and invaded China, Ethiopia, Spain, Austria, etc. France tried to resist, but was distinctly betrayed by the USA and the UK (until in 1939, Madrid fell to the fascists). When German generals and admirals contacted Washington and London to beg them to make a united front with the French Republic, so that they, the German general officers, would have a reason to destroy the Nazis, they got betrayed (to Hitler; not too clear who did it among the Brits and US).
This time is different. Thanks in part to the invasion of Ukraine, after 12 years of a slow built-up, the Empire of Democracy is showing a united front. The US Navy blew up Iranian warships to show China’s Xi what would happen if he tried to invade Taiwan. The lesson is not lost on the tyrants.
In World War Two, the tyrants went a long way because plutocrats, in particular US plutocrats, provided them, too long, with what they needed: Japan invaded China for ten years, thanks to US oil. When that was finally cut off, Japan had just enough oil for one military push to Indonesia’s oil. Meanwhile Harriman and his friends developed Baku offshore oil fields for Stalin. Franco invaded Spain on US credit for his equipment.
This time the stakes are much higher, because nuclear weapons are devastating. The West has 22 nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarines (SSBNs… Eight are Franco-British, and each can easily kill 50 million people in 20 minutes. Russia, China and their allies have understood that this is not the 1930s anymore, and that the leading democracies are allied and dangerous this time, and have drawn the line.
After Putin stole power in 1999, organizing bombings and a genocide to do that, Europeam plutocrats made a deal with him setup by Harvard intellectuals (Sachs, etc.): give us your money stolen by your oligarchs from the Russian people, you will provide us with energy and together we will rule the world…
And so on. The Putinophile crowd is aghast: they thought Trump was their agent, so why did the precious allies of Putin, Assad, Maduro, Khamenei fall? Where does the thinking of this bleating sheep come from? The plutocratically owned media, the same plutocrats who got sweet deals from the Russian oligarchs…
So why is it different from the 1930s? Because a few thinkers, such as yours truly, are pointing out the criminality of Western leaders and their alliance with the Russian tyrant. For example, why did French presidents sell crucial military tech to Putin after 2014 and after an explicit European law was passed forbidding to sell weapons to Putin?
In any case, Xi is forewarned: the Empire of Democracy is united and ready to wage war and blow Xi’s ships out of the water. By preventing the invasion of Taiwan, the attack on Iran is already a success.
In WW1, the 1920s and the 1930s, the US Deep Plutocratic State wanted to displace and replace Europe. France and Britain, the parents of the USA, were viewed as rivals by their ingrate progeny.

TRUMP November 2025 SURRENDER ORDER TO UKRAINE WOULD ACCELERATE PUTIN’S INVASION OF EUROPE. A Return To Roosevelt 1930s Policies? IS IT WHAT AMERICA FIRST WANTS? The FDR Precedent.
Abstract: Trump’s proposed settlement for the Ukraine war would force Kyiv to surrender its fortified Donbas belt, instantly doubling Putin’s military strength by gifting him what Russia cannot conquer. Trump wants to give immediately to Putin what is Putin’s present military objective: Ukraine’s fortress belt. Trump’s reasoning is emotional: Trump said Ukraine and Russia suffered 25,000 soldiers killed on the battlefield in the last month, that was “horrible”, this cannot go on, “one way or another we will have it ended” Trump says, and Zelinskyy will have to accept a deal [1].
Trump is all-powerful, and peace will be made, or all hell will break loose?
Trump is forcing Ukraine into exactly the position of Czechoslovakia in 1938: Czechoslovakia was forced by France and Britain, in an atrociously shameful ultimatum, to give up fortified territory, in exchange for promises. History shows the danger of doing this: givng the fortress belt to Putin would roughly make Putin twice more powerful overnight.
Trump wants Ukraine to surrender to Putin what is too costly for Putin to acquire: Ukraine’s Donbas fortress belt: the Ukrainian defenses are formidable, much stronger than anything the Russian went so far, just ahead of the Russian army. In exchange for promises, but not even NATO level promises. In Trump’s request huge amount of European finances would be directed to areas of Ukraine which Trump would have given to Russia… And half of the money to construct the Trump-extended Russian empire would go to US companies (in charge of reconstruction of the new “Russia”).
The funny thing is that NATO Article 5 wording is vague and not committal. It states that an attack against one member “shall be considered an attack against them all.” Member states only have an obligation to take “such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force.” So if France wants to go fishing, Britain wants to go sailing and the USA wants to play golf, that’s all consistent with NATO Article 5… So why is Putin hysterical about it? Because, like Hitler, Putin controls through hysterics.
More ominously, as Article 5 has no power, one may deduce that promises to Ukraine made by Trump, who agrees that NATO Article 5 is too strong for Ukraine, will be less even less than that: less than nothing.
Hitler made strident and multiple promises that the Sudeten was his last demand in Europe, etc. A few months later he demanded that Poland let Germany build an Autobahn (freeway) through… Poland. Freeways were most useful for German armor. Poland refused and signed a defense treaty with the French Republic (Britain joined in the appendix). Then Hitler made his alliance with the Kremlin official, to scare France, France was not scared, declared war after the invasion of Poland, but inturn was invaded with Nazi and Czech tanks fueled by Kremlin oil…

Security guarantees were made to Ukraine in 1994 at Budapest, when Ukraine surrendered 5,000 nuclear weapons to the Kremlin. Those guarantees were violated massively by Putin over more than two decades now (starting with poisoning the Ukrainian president).

British PM Chamberlain made a first long trip, by plane and then rail, to the Bavarian alps to meet with Hitler’s Eagle Nest for 3 hours on September 13, 1938. Agreements were found. Chamberlain went back to Munich on September 22, with the French PM in attendance. Hitler had stiffened his demands. At Munich in 1938, Czechoslovakia’s formal ally France made a deal with Hitler urged by Britain (France was not in the position of saying no to Britain). Czechoslovakia was not present in Munich [2]. France and Britain forced Czechoslovakia to surrender her mountainous fortresses’ belt, located in the (then) German speaking Sudeten land. Afterwards, Czechoslovakia was defenceless and very demoralized: what was the point of fighting for democracy when one is betrayed by the leading democracies? So Hitler proposed a deal to Czechoslovakia’s president: surrender, offering us all your heavy weapons and weapons’ manufacturing (Škoda Works), and in exchange Czechoslovakia’s resistance would not “be broken by force of arms, using all means”.Czechoslovakia’s president Hácha, alone and abandoned, accepted the deal, especially after he suffered a heart attack induced by Hermann Göring‘s threat to bomb the Czech capital..
Thus Hitler invaded the rest of Czechoslovakia without fighting, and immediately augmented considerably the Nazis’ inadequate tank force and tank manufacturing. Hitler also lifted the Nazis’ disastrous economy by seizing the gold of the Czech central bank.
Should Europe agree to Trump’s proposal, the EXACT SAME EFFECT will occur again. Except Ukraine is much more powerful and resourceful than Czechoslovakia ever was.
Thus the power of Putin will morph into something gigantic, all the more as Putin has already MILITARIZED not only Russian society, but also the Russian economy.
IF PUTIN CONQUERS UKRAINE, HE DOUBLES HIS MILITARY CAPABILITY:
Ukraine is roughly as powerful as Russia on the battlefield right now, this is why Putin could conquer around only one percent (1%) in four years.
If Putin seizes Ukraine, he will conquer all this DIB, Defense Industrial Base, and he will make offers to those who serve the Ukrainian military so well, offers that they cannot refuse… Exactly as Hitler did in Czechoslovakia. That’s what tyrants do: they are best at turning men to serve the tyrants.

PUTIN HAS MILITARIZED RUSSIA:
In 1938-39, the economy of Germany became so difficult that Hitler had to lower his budgeted anticipated military spending (hence his theft of the Czech gold). The Nazis wanted to conquer the world, but they did not have the means to do so and were reluctant to militarize the German economy. They would do it in 1943… Way too late. Here is a point of caution: Germany, with all its super intellectuals and rationalists, launched itself in a World War in 1939 when it was actually a WEAK POWER. But the Nazis, like Putin, thought they could get away with murder, mass murder… Because their opponents would never stoop that low. That was a mistake: as early as 1939 the romantic French launched a nuclear program to atom bomb Berlin… And the British turned out not just as ferocious, but to have been planning it all along as they prepared a fleet of long range bombers that the Nazis had not even tried to build. That fleet launched night fire storm bombings. The raid against Coventry (12,500 dead) was paid back by a fire storm of Hamburg (35,000 dead, minimum) and so on.
Great Britain militarized its society and economy in 1940, and the USA in 1942 (both the US and UK had already made a stealth militarization with superlative weapons on the sea and in the air, a natural tendency for insular powers).
When Putin fully attacked in 2022 the 80% of Ukraine he had not already invaded, he thought 200,000 highly trained and well equipped soldiers could do it in a few days. Those 200,000 soldiers are not mostly dead or crippled: the invasion failed and Ukraine counterattacked successfully (although in Kherson, Biden insisted that the Ukrainians let the Russians escape, because otherwise Putin would have killed everybody, or so we were told…)
Four years later, the Russian army has suffered more than one million casualties, but it has also developed state of the art weapons, and in massive quantities. Not just drones, and gliding bombs but its hypersonic weapons are now able to escape the best Western anti-ballistics, by maneuvering haphazardly (that was a predictable development). Putin can launch 1,000 missiles every night on Ukraine, and maybe soon much more (except if Ukrainian long range strikes hit where it hurts the most).

A MILITARIZED SOCIETY And ECONOMY WILL KEEP ATTACKING
This happened to the Assyrians: they got too successful militarily, their army could not be defeated, so they made enemies all over, who targeted the Assyrian cities, destroying in a few years what the Assyrian army depended upon.
This happened to Sparta: Sparta got so militarized, it enslaved its own population and then the city-state immediately west (a unique case in Greece). Sparta knew just one trick: how to produce the best soldiers, thanks to a 24/7/365 effort. All what the Spartans did was war, and they glorified this obsession. They even forgot reproducing. Ultimately, they became irrelevant… While their old rival Athens kept on doing everything and is still around as a major city.
Countless regimes in history became too militaristic and became crazy from it. Prussia of course was a recent example. After Prussia took control of Germany in the Nineteenth Century, Prussia made all of Germany hyper militaristic, bringing genocidal policies in Namibia, and then, rendered obsessional by the most evil instincts, deliberately planned in 1912 and launched in 1914 a world war, which, with exquisite timing was supposed to quickly make the “Kaiserreich” master of all of continental Europe before Britain would be made an offer it could not resist.
That did not end well, it ended with Nazism…

IF A CEASEFIRE IS OBTAINED IN UKRAINE, PUTIN’S ENORMOUS WAR MACHINE WILL QUICKLY PRODUCE AN ENORMOUS STORE OF WEAPONS:
A ceasefire is just a ceasefire: the Kremlin has always held the same discourse: the Nazis in Ukraine must go for peace. That was said while the president and PM of Ukraine were Jews. In light of this madness, what the Kremlin is saying is that Ukraine can only exist as part of the “:borderlands” of Ukraine. Putin has explained this thoroughly..
There is an enormous difference between Putin conquering Ukraine’s fortress belt after suffering another million casualties and Putin being gifted the fortress belt. In the former case, the enormous losses will drain the Kremlin’s dictatorship, in demography, treasury and motivation, and the slow process will give plenty of times for Ukraine to prepare further defenses (not just on the ground, but in the air, in the tech realm, and on the economic and diplomatic front).
As it is, the Russian bear is wounded in its pride, but it has built factories capable of churning state of the art weapons in huge quantities…

What is Trump up to? America first! When he met with Mamdani, Trump expressed his admiration for US president Franklin Roosevelt, who is, NAIVELY, vastly admired for his help to democracy in World War Two. My own view is much more realistic: Roosevelt was told by his own ambassador in Berlin, the historian Dodd, in 1937, what to do to get rid of the Nazis, and that it was completely impossible to negotiate with the Nazis, it just advantaged the Nazis to even talk to them. Roosevelt reacted by firing Dodd and replacing him by a pro-Nazi. He did the same in London, making the pro-Nazi Kennedy ambassador.
What was FDR up to? America first! Like Trump! FDR never said it aloud explicitly, but his acts speak volumes: FDR did his best to make weak fascist racist Germany and Italy as strong as possible… By letting US plutocrats strengthen them… Including Franco in Spain, on credit… And fueling Japan busy invading China… This mentality is reflected in Trump forcing Europeans to finance the US Defense Industrial Base (F35s for everybody while the US Air Force, no dummy, orders F15s…) and now in this new 28 point plan, European taxes rebuild Russia while financing the USA…
Is there anything charitable to say about Trump’s maneuvers? Naturally the Europeans are fundamentally at fault, Trump is just exploiting their disease. Europeans are still reluctant to do what Putin did: militarize society and economy, and the European Union made all it could, since 1999, when Putin got absolute power, to Make Russia Great Again (MRGA, the sound of the bear).
More fundamentally, Trump is facing a loud and explicit thermonuclear war maniac: Putin and his gang threatened to extinguish humanity if one stood in the way of their invasive tyranny. Trump, as US president in charge of 350 million US citizens, has to take this into account. The situation was never encountered before. Even Hitler or Stalin were all for peace, in their discourses. Mao, while killing dozens of millions of Chinese, was all for socialism and humanism. Putin, instead, makes explicit threats. Even Hitler did not exactly stoop that low with the Jews… Hitler only said the Jews would disappear from Europe if there was another world war… But that could be viewed charitably as an opinion, not an explicit threat… Putin and his minions made explicit threats… to extinguish humanity if they could not have Russia, their way.
So Trump has to make it so that Putin does not shortcircuit and start to use nukes. Thus, he tries to pretend Trump is on Vladimir’s side… By presenting plans which are so pro-Putin that Trump knows well they will never be accepted. So Trump pretends to be Putin’s friend, to better stab him in the back.
What US leaders may not understand is that, the longer the war goes on, the harder and more criminal the hard men in Russia helping Putin become. We saw that situation in Hitler’s Third Reich when at the end even a SS general related to Hitler was executed by the Nazis for “treason” (one of many). Putin and his friends saw nuclear blackmail work (reports are that Biden ordered Ukraine not to destroy the encircled Russian army in Kherson, lest Putin used nukes): now they are ready for more.
At this point the USA is not giving money to Ukraine. Instead, craftily, Trump got the Europeans to give money to the US DIB, reinforcing the USA… while weakening Europe by making it ever more US dependent. How come Europeans are that stupid? Equivalent European weapons exist… What does not exist are the contracts because instead they are signed with cowboys… Who then roll on gold… As in Golden Dome… The very expensive US nuclear shield that Europe now indirectly finances….
So what is the verdict? Europe has to wake up! The invasion of Ukraine is just a symptom! Prolonging Europe’s slumber is bringing disaster, as all of Africa wants to move in (arguably a good thing), accompanied by its terrible Islamist mentality (a very bad thing reversing the Enlightenment). That way Putin and his would-be pal Trump are helping Europe, because they are forcing Europe to wake up. A Europe where everything is made in China is not a solution for the future…
Why did Europe become so despondent? Since the Seventeenth Century, deeply self-contradictory policies were pursued in Europe. Contradictions between nations, contradictions within nations (for example France refused to feed her American colony, for moral reasons, while throwing French protestants out of France, there to follow the Jews, although protestantism in France preceded Luther by many centuries). The end products were the tremendous wars of the Twentieth Century. Interestingly the victors, France, Britain and their allies were actually defeated by the USA (FDR) and the Kremlin. FDR gave half of Europe to Stalin, not because he was senile, but because it was the America First! policity. And actually FDR died on April 15, 1945, and nevertheless, his generals and Truman implemented his policies with maximum ferocity, making sure Europe would stay in chains. Chains to the Kremlin, chains to US credit, etc…
The end result was that a mentality of defeatism overwhelmed Europe and it was propagandized by the famous thinkers like De Beauvoir, Sartre, and all this European philosophy which led European leaders to give “independence” often to the worst characters they could find (after refusing to negotiate with reasonably civilized leaders). A case in point was Algeria. Now nearly all of Africa is following… Sartre and company praised Castro, Mao and their ilk… Defeatism, of course, haunted the “central powers” (Germany, Austria, Hungary, Poland, Czechoslovakia, etc.) and for excellent reasons.
Out of all this defeatism came what US academia called “French Theory” and more recently, when applied to the streets, “woke”. “French Theory” represented often an attack against reason itself. That was natural, as the French victories in 1918 and 1945 only brought further calamity to France. Normal citizens, in the USA, exasperated by all of this, voted for the no nonsense Trump, an anti-woke machine.
Trump himself arose mostly as, not just an heir of a real estate empire, but a subsidized builder. The first step in “Democratic Socialism” (Mamdani’s credo) is construction. There is a very old French saying: “Quand le batiment va, tout va!”… When construction works, everything works.
Europe has got to start working. That’s how to answer Trump, let alone Putin, and this is why Trump and the “Democratic Socialist” new New York mayor are doing so well together…
I do not doubt Trump’s sincere aim to end the war quickly via concessions. I can see the nuclear dimension was not present in the 1930s, and requires to become extremely shrewd, cautious not to say devious. I hope Trump is just trying to gently orient the Russian oligarchy (1% of Russia produces 50% of the GDP) towards telling Putin and his gang that their time is up.
European work has to involve a lot more unity. Weapons’ production in Europe has been multi-duplicated and adversarial: the French SAMP-T anti ballistic Aster 30 system has performed better in Ukraine than its only competitor, the US Patriot (recent interception rate was only 4% as Russian missiles now maneuver). And a new generation of the Aster 30 is coming imminently. What does Germany do? Decide to develop its own missile, at enormous cost and with a 5 year delay: anything except buying French! Does Germany believe it’s still in 1938?
Sometimes the situation is kafkaesque: a subsidiary of MBDA (fundamentally a French company) in the UK has developed and sells an anti-radar missile. What does France do? Develop another, inside France, and that will take ten years…
This sort of situation is not unknown in the USA and in the 1930s some US corporations collaborated secretly with fascist powers to develop nefarious technologies deliberately excluding Western defense establishments. Verily, openness will enable a lot of disinfection!

But, by turning to defeatism, consecutive to its subjugation by the USA in 1919 and 1945, Europe has lost agency, and made a wisdom of defeatism. That, in turn is a form of masochism reminiscent of the Ancient Regime where rebellion was kept in check by the extreme ferocity of the judicial system at the slighest sign of dissent.
The essay concludes by critiquing European legal systems for their past intolerance, citing historical instances of executions for sex and blasphemy, and highlighting how such injustices were a catalyst for the French Revolution.

Germany and Poland are not squeamish either in the way of war. Russia fought Poland-Lithuania, then a vast empire. The Kremlin won only thanks to help from Britain, Germany, and decisively, Sweden…. I was reading down long lists of executions in the kingdom of France, mid-Eighteenth century. Yes many executions were gory, but for many of these executions, the argument could be made that the punishment fit the crime. There were indeed a lot of crimes of the sort which are less frequent nowadays because social services and law enforcement often move in in a timely manner.
However there were also a different sort of capital crime and execution which nowadays happen in very few countries (and we condemn them!)
That made 18C France less advanced than the Greco-Romans…
I saw knights (“chevaliers”) and priests (!) condemned to death and EXECUTED for blasphemy, insulted the king, or for having criticized the established order… It is written black on white!

It is frequent to disparage the French Revolution… But what was before was worse. And the Revolution was bad, greatly from having all of European plutocrats united against it. In the US Revolution, many had sided with the British king. They lost, because France sided with the Republic. That was not forgotten!

Putin’s fate and that his gang depends upon grabbing the FORTRESS BELT that Ukraine built in Donetsk province. They have been trying for eleven years. Now their losses, even for giant Russia, are unsustainable. So Putin is calling Trump to the rescue.
Indeed, why did Putin propose the evacuation of a third of the part of the Donetsk province presently held by Ukraine?
Putin had long said he wanted Ukraine to cede four provinces, nothing less would do. However, faced with secondary sanctions on his oil and gas, Putin had to give Trump something to pacify him.
So suddenly Putin offered a ceasefire everywhere as long as Ukraine gives in a third of the part of Donetsk province Ukraine controls.
For someone who has not studied war, this may seem generous. But it is not at all the case. What Putin is proposing is the exact equivalent of Munich 1938. At Munich Hitler too, was reasonable: suddenly Hitler proposed to annex only slivers of Czekoslovakia… It looked generous at first sight, just a sliver of land which Hitler claimed was intrinsically German.
The French leader Daladier, under pressure from the British PM Chamberlain, accepted the deal, betraying the Franco-Czek treaty and left the Czekoslovaqs to deal with Hitler…
Hitler gobbled the rest of Czechoslovakia a few months later, using the same irenic tactic: promise peace to get more stuff.
At Munich the most concerned party was Czechoslovakia, but it was not present. Similarly in the meeting proposed by Trump with Putin in Alaska, the most concerned party are the Europeans and in particular the Ukrainians and they are not present.

So what did Hitler achieve at Munich? The exact same thing that Putin proposes to achieve in Alaska. Capturing the defensive system of fortresses, without firing a shot.
Czech enormous defenses in the Sudeten lands, a mountain range making an enormous U around Czech lands, had been built in collaboration with the French; they were similar to the French Maginot Line, and impossible to breach.
Hitler and his generals knew that, so when Hitler got to the line of impassable fortresses without firing a shot, the German generals could only admire Hitler’s genius.
Putin proposes to repeat the operation.
The part of Donetsk Putin wants from Trump is the fortified part. Trying to advance there cost Putin hundreds of casualties, every day.
The beauty of Putin’s strategy is that, once the land has been given, it would take years for the Ukrainians to build an equivalent network of defenses.

It took nearly two months for the Allies to breach through Nazi defenses in Normandy. But once the Allies breached through, and routed the Nazis, the French Second Armored division (2ieme DB) dashed towards Paris in a few hours. The Nazis were unable to slow the French armor with hasty fortifications and thus the three elite fanatical Nazi divisions heading toward Paris never reached the French capital, as it had been freed by the French: cities are natural fortresses.
In contrast, when the Nazis finally succeeded to raise fortifications, they were able to hold the Allies five months in the same place, through Fall 1944, although the Allies had five million men and air supremacy.
So fortifications are crucial.
Right now Putin’s forces advance very slowly inside Donetsk, at an unsustainable cost. The Kremlin thugs know this and they know that the Ukrainians know.
But does Trump know?
Does Trump know that what Putin proposes is to have Trump surrender to the dictator the FORTRESS BELT that Putin has been trying to conquer since 2014?
While Chamberlain surrendered the SUDETEN FORTRESS BELT to the dictator Hitler, Chamberlain had actually put the British economy on a war footing, with massive production of Hurricanes and Spitfire fighters, huge long ranger bombers (the Lancasters) and also aircraft carriers. Chamberlain was trying to gain time, and knew that, by arming Great Britain massively, he could hope to dissuade the dictator from attacking.
Now, though, we are in a different situation. Yes, dictator Putin, like Hitler, is proposing that we offer him the fortress belt gratis… But the dictator does this, after more than eleven years of war and MILLIONS of casualties. In 1938, one could hope that Hitler, as he said, urbi et orbi, but contrarily to appearances, was for peace. But in 2025, there is no doubt that Putin is committed to a war he cannot pursue without promising to use nuclear weapons… no less. And that had nothing to do with Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which were bombings to end a war Japan had started… in 1931! Putin’s nuclear threats are to foster a war he started in 2014…
Chamberlain was trying to avoid a war, or trying to gain enough time to arm Great Britain to the teeth. The former alternative did not happen, there was war, but Great Britain at least had gained enough time and thus was armed enough to resist the Nazis.
Trump is not in a similar situation: the war is here. Giving the FORTRESS BELT to Putin is giving an enraged predator what it is desperately trying to get… Next. But, whereas Trump will be on his way out in three years, if he doesn’t die of swollen ankles first, the KREMLIN DICTATORSHIP will still be here in three years… except if it’s defeated on the battlefield. Indeed, the vast gang and clique around Putin is so compromised in war crimes of all sorts that, even if Putin dies they will have to pursue the war.
Putin is a dictator: he dictates. As Hitler explained in Mein Kampf, being a tyrant enables a leader to change course on a dime… and nothing stands in the way.
For example Hitler campaigned heavily against Poland during elections. Once elected Chancellor, however, Hitler turned into a dictator, and within 11 months had made a peace treaty with… Poland, not quite allies, but nearly so. The following year, Hitler made a treaty with Great Britain which was so friendly that it violated the Versailles Treaty, baffling France to no end…
In 1939, to scare French and Brits, who don’t get scared easily, Hitler and Stalin became allies.
The capricious behavior that dictators can embrace gives Putin the freedom to behave opportunistically: give something today, make any promise, and take them back tomorrow.
If Putin gets, even verbally, the Ukrainian Fortress Belt, the effect on Ukrainian morale will be devastating, as the surrender of the Sudeten land Fortress Belt was on Czechoslovakia. Why? Because the Czekoslovaks could only draw one first obvious conclusion: they were not worth saving, the French and the Brits were on Hitler’s side.
The Ukrainians will draw the same conclusion if they are told they must surrender their fortress belt: you, Ukrainians, are not worth saving. (Moreover, as the fortress belt has been reinforced for 12 years, it of course could not be rebuilt any time soon!)
If one operated like Putin, one should just arrest him as soon as he comes out of that plane in Alaska. The nuclear tyrant, the first man to have threatened humanity with extinction… just because he could, does not deserve any better.

Are cultures all the same, should they be equally respected? The “woke” not being fully awake yet, assert this complete absurdity as their main directive. As nihilistic as one can get… But they never heard about evolution, progress! Respect for individuals who don’t know any better is one thing. Respect for perverse ideologies, knowing that they are perverse, another. It turns out that all and any religion one knows of was used and apparently devised as an ideology to control the naive, in service for a dominant class.
Moreover, higher thinkers will in the future distinguish re-ligions from super-stitions. Re-ligare, to tie up again is any ideology or practice that brings We The People together: it could be the cult of a form of music, and of course a spectacular sport, like chariot racing for centuries toward the end of the Roman state. Religions of the fascist type, such as Roman, US, or French republicanisms, with the fasces as symbols, are example. They bring a population together around the sword of justice.
The “Believer” is supposed to “believe” in these absurdities, and that’s what makes the “Believer” into a “Believer”. The more absurd, the better, because the aim is to have the state and its priests humiliate reason. Even better, one can best unite in committing together, or planning together, common crimes, for example burning women alive for prostitution. As they are represented naked while undergoing the well-deserved punishment, that beats any modern erotic show.
An example is the notion, presented as a fact, that the mythical Jesus and the real Muhammad invented space travel long ago, and took off from Jerusalem… so their followers could fight like dogs in the following millennia over the ruins of the Jewish temple in the Jews’ capital city… Muhammad also invented genetic engineering, as he had already traveled to Jerusalem in some sort of winged horse [1]…
Patriotism is a class of religions, Patriotism can be bad: contemplate the Aztecs, the Nazis, Putin’s thermonuclear tyranny. Abrahamism, a class of superstitions. Oftentimes patriotism and superstition mix, as in the Roman and Athenian city cult, or the Teutonic Knights. Another sort of perverse ideology is racism, which was another planetary phenomenon: were defined as “man” whoever like the beholder of the notion
State-imposed superstitions are a way for the states to train people to respect the irrationality of the state. The Abrahamist religion says one has to be ready to kill one’s child if the god promoted by the state says so. More than 99% of known superstitions practiced human sacrifices, not to say outright cannibalism. Captain Cook was cooked for religious reasons, we were told. The Romans of the Roman Republic didn’t respect that notion, and outlawed any superstition promoting human sacrifices. To their consternation, the Romans found the Celts would mass-burn prisoners inside vast replica of a human body. Julius Caesar, who led the first Roman landing in Britain (55 BCE)., said the native Britons “believe that the gods delight in the slaughter of prisoners and criminals, and when the supply of captives runs short, they sacrifice even the innocent.” First-century historian Pliny the Elder suggested that the Celts practiced ritual cannibalism, eating their enemies’ flesh as a source of spiritual and physical strength. Archeology has uncovered direct evidence. Many of the tricks to inflict terror that the Druids used are reminscent of those used in the Americas (horrible costumes, etc.)
In India the Hindu practice of Sati (from the goddess Sati) was to burn alive the widow, generally much younger, of a wealthy man. Crowds of several thousands would gather for the shows, including Muslims, “for the amusement”. Widows would change their minds after the first caresses of the fire, and try to escape (there were means to prevent them)… questions of property were generally involved, and similarly for some old Viking religious practices… With the added benefit of using up the concubines before their fiery end… The Brits put a forceful end to these hot blockbusters… But it was not easy, and the practice kept on going for generations… People tend to stay attached to their religions and the more horrible, the better…
Patriotism is another matter: a nation will invent ways and means which are uniquely them, and may, or may not be respected. One may respect France for its 400 cheese, or then despise French cheese or cheese in general. But then one may adore Bizet or Joan of Arc, and revere Pasteur, Laplace, Abelard or Clovis. US citizens may feel, rightly so, that, by sticking together, and only then, will they survive and prosper… So patriotism is made of thousands of ways, means and traditions, and many of them are valuable for humanity, for example sushi, surfing or South American music. Siberia was conquered thanks to (potatoes… a tubercule from the Andes…).
State, or para-state imposed superstitions are, instead, fundamentally assaults against the foundation of humanity… respect for rationality.
So superstition based religions basically deserve no respect, and can be viewed as crimes against the foundation of humanity. That does not mean that their practitioners deserve no respect. A priori, they do, as all human beings do, especially when they try to stretch their minds beyond themselves. But when those practitioners brandish the absurdities they make a show to believe in so as submitting us… the way of the warrior imposes itself.
So from the so-called “human rights” category will whine that freedom of religion is a sacred principle. But they are hypocrites, and overlook history and the notion of civilizational progress. After the Roman defeat at Cannae, two couples, one of Gauls and the other of Greeks were buried under the Forum Boarium. Livy‘s description of these sacrifices, rejects them as “wholly alien to the Roman spirit“. Human sacrifices were formally outlawed in 97 BCE. Sulla’s Lex Cornelia de sicariis et veneficis in 82 BC included punishments for human sacrifice.
So there never was any freedom for most religions, and that’s how we progress enough to survive, although now we all live under the Mage of the Kremlin apocalyptically looming overall hope and normality with his Russian religion… In his latest pronouncement, the Muhammad of the Kremlin declared that Belgium was created… by Russia [2].
It is essential to approach religions with an open mind, respect for diversity, and a willingness to engage in dialogue and understanding, through space and time. This allows for a more nuanced appreciation of different religious perspectives and realize that there is absolutely no limit to how vicious human beings can become if the reward is power and mustering enough excitement to forget the mediocrity of the human condition (see the Hadiths below for further nuance…).

The only way nuclear war will not happen is if the West, the democracies, keep such an obvious military supremacy that the dictatorships will not dare to attack with nuclear weapons, knowing that they would lose.
Also, in the great test case of Ukraine, the democracies have to define victory as the return of Ukraine to the borders it had even in Roman times… which coincide with those the USSR attributed to the Ukrainian Republic! Should Ukraine be lost, by the same mechanism, already applied in Africa, the West will find itself in a nuclear war.
Energy beams (say lasers) should de deployed on all ships right away (300 KW combat laser exist, and are cheaper than two million dollars anti-missiles, the launching of which is economically unsustainable).
The threats from the Kremlin nuclear tyrant are ever more explicit [0].

Moreover: preserving “the issues of strategic stability” will not happen Putin scoffed, while they “defeat Russia strategically on the battlefield?” So Putin is now threatening nuclear strategic instability lest we stop seeking to defeat him on the battlefield… In a country which Russia agreed by treaty to protect: Ukraine surrendered 5,000 nuclear warheads to Russia that now Putin threatens to use against Ukraine… Or the West… Now Putin implies that the war will last forever, and ordered the arrest of top Baltic politicians, including Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas… for unspecified “crimes”. The message is clear: the Baltic nations are part of Russia, Russian criminal law applies there, even to Prime Ministers, they are next.
Instilling fear in the Russian establishment is a must for the West, but it would be amplified by instilling fear and discomfort in the allies of Putin, within Russia and outside of Russia. The dictators and their enablers should be pointed out and, in the case of the latter, and if possible, get so punished that they would stop. Indeed:

Lesson From WW1 and WW2: Neutrals Enabled The Fascist Aggressors:
One must observe that enablers, supposedly “neutral” enabled the aggressions of world war one and two. The Kaiser got his explosive making capability from the US in WW1, in the early years. Mutually Asymmetric Determination: Putin knows he wants unending war, because he says it. The West must make clear Ukraine must recover its borders.
Putin made clear now that he intends to “destroy civilization” to prevent a “defeat on the battlefield”. (Hitler probably wished he could have been in such a position. Instead he could have tried to kill a few millions with gas before seeing a large part of Germany go up in smoke…)
Putin thus has demonstrated his extreme determination. What of the determination of the West? A western plutocrat was allowed to prevent a vast Ukrainian attack against Putin’s occupying forces in Crimea. No prosecution. Why? The plutocrat finds itself at the head of a private company of such importance the Pentagon recently announced that it reserves for itself a right of preemption on any launch of a new giant rocket under development.
The West must match Putin’s advertized determination by an equally great determination, saying that the West defines victory as reestablishing Ukraine in its borders in the last century (which are the borders of Ukraine since Roman times!)… Defining victory is the first step in a serious war.
Putin is perfectly capable of using a nuclear weapon. Because he does not believe the West will reply in a commensurate fashion. Indeed the more he threatens to do so, the weaker the West’s response. So appeasement is inducement. We saw something similar with Hitler: the Nazi dictator was persuaded that the West, which was reduced to France and Britain, would fold as he attacked Poland with the help of the Kremlin. But, instead of following the example of the cowardly, calculating US, and all other democracies, France and Britain declared war….
As long as he is winning, as it is the case right now in winter 2024, Putin will not use a nuclear weapon [1].
The USSR had no interest in launching a nuclear war: its dictatorship was well established… and self-dissolved.
However Putin has an interest in keeping his war going, because it helps his dictatorship. In his discourse to the Russian Parliament in 2024, Putin did not mention an end to the state of war, ever. Too many lives have already been lost… even for Russia: war must go on, as part of the regime, indefinitely.
At some point the indefinite war of the Kremlin will cut too deep in the flesh and bone of the West. For example, Russia is establishing dictatorships all over Africa, complete with Russian bases and Russian mercenaries. Can Europe live with a hostile Africa armed with Russian nuclear weapons? Perhaps, but it will not be comfortable. Life was possible at Auschwitz but it was not comfortable, and in any case, doomed. Even if the present European leaders are ready to live under increasing submission, knowing human nature, that will not last forever: a future generation may rebel, and fight.
It is wiser to fight when one has more power. In the 1930s, Nazi Germany had very little real power. It is the West’s divisions and mismanagement which empowered Hitler. Right, as I have explained, some of these divisions were actually deliberate: the US Deep State had interest to recover the European empires.
However, now, the US and its allies, the West, is in control of the world’s GDP (even if one counts China as an ally of Putin). That will not last if Russia is allowed to expand its empire. The time to put an end to the fascists’ military adventurism was in the 1930s, more exactly at the latest 1938, before surrendering Czechoslovakia to Hitler. Czekoslovakia had the means to resist Hitler, for example probably more and better armor, and excellent fortifications. France should have gone at it alone against Hitler with its Czech ally, putting the UK’s Chamberlain in front of his responsibility… and also it would have put Poland, a dictatorship, in front of its responsibilities. When Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia, Poland invaded too, and grabbed a piece of Czechoslovakia. Poland, like the tyranny that was the USSR, tried to play Hitler as a violin. In the end, it turned into a general conflagration.
Iran, China and North Korea are also trying to play Putin as a violin. All these countries have been in conflict in the past. Several centuries. The last conflicts between China and Russia were very recent… And Russia can be presently viewed by Chinese maps as occupying a gigantic chunk of China… The Russian invasions happened in 1858 and 1860. In 1900, Russia occupied all of Manchuria… which was promptly lost after the defeat by Japan in 1905…
It gets better: tactical nuclear bombs on a battlefield should be rather ineffective against dispersed armor. But quite the opposite in cities. So one may expect Putin to use nukes on cities, once their usage on troops has proven rather ineffective.
Time to get used to the idea again! But this time, it’s for real because the threats of the mad tyrant are clear enough, and his self interest is eternal war, as he made implicitly clear! Putin makes Stalin look wise…. The Soviets looked towards a more socialist, progressive, scientific society; Putin longs for Ivan The Terrible (and Putin’s antics with the Wagner group had an analogue under Ivan!).
It is reported that Justice Clarence Thomas of the Supreme Court enjoys being a pet of billionaire Harlan Crow. Nothing surprising here: so-called “Justices”gaily frolick with the wealthy and mighty, and some of them are suspiciously rich.
Thomas enjoyed vacations on Harlan’s gigantic superyacht. Worldwide there are around 6,000 superyachts (more than 30 meters long). That’s more than ever, and their numbers are growing rapidly. Superyacht cost a huge amount of money to purchase, maintain and operate, they are a more spectacular symbol of wealth than private jets. Private jets are one percent of US CO2 emissions. They are government subsidized, in several ways, and typically cost nothing to those who use them, because of tax tricks. When this is pointed out, the standard retort is that the private jet industry employs more than one million US citizens. (Well, the slave industry used to employ even more… And got cancelled, although it was not in the business of killing the planet…)
In a typical show of contempt for We The People, influencer Kylie Jenner took a 17-minute flight between two regional airports in California. One Twitter user wrote, “kylie jenner is out here taking 3 minute flights with her private jet, but I’m the one who has to use paper straws.” Many plutocrats engage in such public narcistic energy consumption: it’s free advertizing of their unjust power, hence foster their allure, all the more with a zest of sulfur, and taxpayers pay for it [1].

Why would powerful individuals want to flaunt their wealth? To become even more powerful! Flaunting power attracts followers! Power attracts power! The syndrome goes back to Rome when the wealthy organized ultra-expensive games, complete with tigers, elephants and pricey gladiators: game and fame financiers became loved by the rabble, thus influential.
Who are today’s wealthy trying to impress? Those they are trying to influence, and transform psychologically into begging pigeons! Not so much the average voter, with whom they don’t intersect. Instead the public of those who flaunt ultra wealth is the intermediate corps of influencers, journalists, politicians, regulators, judges, lawyers, professors, etc., all of those who make society go where the wealthiest want them to go. They all meet in parties and other social occasions, including vacations and fancy conferences… Those who do really well will be invited on the jets, the superyachts, or the grandly named “World Economic Forum”.
We are in an extreme wealth concentration, surpassing the so-called Gilded Age, when the US West was economically developed, through the immigration of millions. Differently from the Gilded Age, oligarchs now are much more powerful. They are full blown plutocrats, with the full power of evil: in the 1930s, and 1940s, they financed and directly invested with fascist dictators (Lenin, Stalin, Mussolini, Hitler, Hirohito, Franco, etc…), before switching on them. Nowadays Western politics, propelled by oligarch influence, has been to finance and directly invest with nuclear armed superpowers (Russia, China).

Private planes and yachts are extremely damaging to the environment. Some of these creatures fly private jets just a few minutes, instead of using ground transportation for a few miles. Ludicrous damage to the environment for fun is not a flaw as far as plutocrats are concerned, but a quality: it demonstrates their worth, and that the world is ruled by terrifying plutocrats ready to sacrifice all of the biosphere on the altar of (their own) evil glorified.
The US became a middle class society after 1945, because 16 million young men had been armed physically and psychologically, and trained to kill in the name of liberty from oppression. It would have been dangerous to treat them unjustly. The GI Bill made sure that it won’t happen.
A lot of the erroneous policies followed by the planet, such as non-decarbonification or empowering dictators by making them provide all what democracies need, originate with this evil, the enormous influence of plutocrats… and for the good reason that they are the prime beneficiaries of it… Plutocrats, being evil, do best with their most evil colleagues, the tyrants. Be it only because they set the agenda. Recently Biden said the ultra rich paid only 3% tax on income. What does he propose to do about it? Persecute the middle class with adding 87,000 agents to the IRS as US president Biden proposed to do? Most of the billionaire tax evasion is perfectly legal: the billionaires paid the legislators to make it so.
What to do? The ultra wealthy often borrow to buy themselves everything. So I proposed that: tax borrowing for personal use should be taxed as income above, say 20 million dollars.

DECAPITATE PLUTOCRACY:
For centuries, the Roman Republic had a 100% wealth tax above around 50 million dollars of total wealth. Because of globalization that Roman Republican anti-plutocratic tax failed after the Second Punic war: possessions overseas were not taxed by Rome! Plutocrats then grabbed land from the empoverished middle class.
In an epic struggle against corruption, tribune Tiberius Gracchus passed a law in 133 BCE to make sure the old redistribution law outlawing hyper wealth was enforced. Plutocrats (calling themselves “the best”, “Optimates”) reacted with fury, assassinating Tiberius, delaying the implementation of the law, and then having killed the Gracchi, also assassinated their fellow-travelers, and more than 5,000 of the partisans of land reform, the lex agraria. A similar law was imposed just once by Consul Caesar in 59 BCE, over the Senate’s enraged resistance, and the Senate hated Caesar thereafter. In a quick succession of massacres and civil war, much of the population of Rome was killed, and finally Augustus, Caesar’s grand nephew and adoptive son, established his military dictatorship masquerading as a decaying republic.
Rome died as a republic over the next few centuries… The blow in the Occident was the religious war battle of Frigidus in 394 CE, when the Occidental Roman army was destroyed, enabling the Barbarian invasions. Then, all over after 540 CE, emperor Justinian inebriated by the recovery of North Africa, but then enfeebled by volcanism and the plague, thoroughly destroyed Rome, thanks to delirious war conducted by his general Belisarius…
But then part of the spirit of the Roman Republic was revived… And now has gone urbi et orbi… Although the direct descendants (France, Europe, Anglo-Saxons) are more faithful to the best of the republic than ersatzes such as the Putinodrome, or People Republic Of China… The problem remains, and it is the core of how civilizations collapse most often, plutocracy survived in command, even though representative democracy grew back… And now plutocracy is more powerful than ever.
Rome collapsed… Until she was “renovated” as the Franks put it. And here we are! A plutocracy chain reaction, unbound, is what brought Rome down. Since then we have been experiencing controlled plutocracy… Until now, when, clearly, the evil-power os out off bonds and threatening not just civilization, humanity but also the biosphere itself!
And, since it is the plutocracy which is control and empowered for example, strongman Xi or tyrant Putin, it is the plutocracy which is culprit, and should charged and executed…. supposing, all too optimistically, that We the People can find enough residual power, somewhere, to do so.
Some may object that, should plutocracy be made illegal, we would not have around business geniuses such as Elon Musk… Well, not really: Musk’s businesses grew mostly from government subsidies and other people’s money. His personal wealth got leveraged just once in the growing of SpaceX until around 2009 (and then a NASA contract saved SpaceX). I do not propose to do away with adventurous capitalism, and not even of the subsidized sort… As long as public control can be exerted. For example, the US government (“We The People”) could bankrupt SpaceX overnight, simply by withdrawing financial support and, or, closing down various authorizations (like the one of launching rockets).
Closing down the world plutocratic influential web is something else, a good thing. Shutting down entrepreneurs would be a bad thing. The worldwide plutocratic web is ubiquitous, all over all minds, and extremely insidious.
As all formidable tasks, shutting down plutocracy must be done one step at a time. The first step is that plutocrats can’t enjoy yachts and private jets anymore. That should be easy, with the appropriate legislation on how much personal CO2 one can emit. Thereafter, limit non-business personal borrowing….

Committed by their tremendous crimes, Putin and his associates now believe that their “meat waves” tactics in Ukraine will bring them victory, as they reckon that the brainwashed Russian people feel Ukraine is worth the sacrifice. The alternative, for the Kremlin gang, is arrest and death.
The leaders of the West pretend that nobody saw this coming [1]… When it was obvious since Putin’s genocide in Chechnya in 1999, that Putin was a despicable mass murderer. Actually Putin was their man, the man of the West, an employee of global plutocracy, in charge of diverting Russian resources out of Russia, from capital, to gas and oil. The relentless Kremlin tyranny was an instrument of extraction of Russian economic product to put it under global banking management, thus increasing the power of said banking. Never mind that it blew up the price of real estate in Western Europe’s attractive areas.
The Western “leadership” is made mostly of arrogant twerps who listen carefully to the “Powers That Be”… those in power, generally tycoons, plutocrats and their attached think tanks, institutions and universities.
The West is ruled mostly by so-called “representative democracies”, which are neither representative, nor democracies. The nature of these regimes is closer to representative oligarchies.
Oligarchy means: the rule of the few.
The ultimate state of oligarchy is plutocracy, generally viewed as the power of money, but, more generally, the power of evil (aka, Pluto, Satan, Hades, Diablo, etc.). The historical mechanism is always the same: to stay in power, an oligarchy has no choice but to opt for the worst means, because nothing else would do (Putin himself demonstrates this).
Ever since the direct democracies of Antiquity fell, most of the time, in most places in the West, plutocrats and their bankers have managed states. Naturally, they prefer to deal with dictatorships. .
This is how the tyrants of the Twentieth Century arose often in cooperation with the mightiest Western plutocrats. A well-known example is Henry Ford who inspired and financed Adolf Hitler. An example that is less known, but perhaps even more spectacular and instructive was Averell Harriman and Stalin. Harriman was viewed, inside the Kremlin, as the real leader of Russia. Among other things, Harriman financed the Baku oil fields and insured early massive US help to Russia in 1941 (help which had been refused to France a year earlier, in spite of treaties with France…)
The global plutocracy which controls France, Germany and the corrupt West in general, bet heavily on Putin. The way global plutocracy sees it, it had nothing to lose, everything to gain… even if, and especially if, Putin messed it up! More than a century ago glaobal plutocracy already used that strategy with Lenin, Stalin and Mussolini (plutocratic support was then extended to dictatorial Japan, Nazi Germany, and Franco… by extending oil, lines of credit, equipment, etc.). Plutocracy is tyranny friendly as its fundamental purpose is fundamentally evil (Pluto).
Eastern Europe has been at the receiving end of these bad treatments for centuries thanks in part from selfish, self-absorbed Western European indifference…in 1240 the Mongols killed Kyiv, and put the Kremlin’s Alexander Nevsky, in control… Of Kyiv! At the time, and since, Eastern Europe observed that Western Europe did not come to the rescue of Kyivan Rus against the Mongols… although it launched plenty of crusades at the time, including against Novgorod… although Anna Princess of Kyiv was ruling queen of France in 1051-60 CE.
Macron is fundamentally a banker who used his connection to the state at his advantage… A particular case of Western finance and Davos (WEF) welcoming and using Putin, that is the Russian state, to their advantage. Each time Rosatom sells a nuclear reactor, France gets a billion dollars… Rosatom sells the most nuclear reactors in the world.
If anything, the present crisis exposes the enormous corruption in Western Europe, which laundered in plain sight the money that Russian oligarchs stole from Russia. “Socialist” ex Chancellor Schroder set up the Nord Stream pipelines, while French Total set up the giant gas liquefaction installations in Siberia.
Putin, his evil accomplices and his oligarchs could claim they have been tricked and enticed. They actually started to have their vile Western propagandists push for that point of view:”It’s not us, but them who enticed us to steal children in Ukraine!”
But it is neither here, nor there. Hitler, Mussolini, Hirohito and Franco also went through the same process. After they committed their massive war crimes, they were the massive criminals. The role that Western plutocrats played in enticing and enabling them has been carefully covered up, and is never mentioned. Yes, that role should be exposed.
But most self-declared leftists are actually posers who are careful to not go the bottom of things… lest they get less of a following.
As a personal aside, I was banned from commenting in several European media, for example the European Tribune, and the reason given was that I pointed out the financing of Hitler and Stalin by Western banks and financiers… I was told, in writing, that the bankers who financed those media asked me to be banned. That was more than a decade ago, and both yours truly and this general subject disappeared from much of the information space… Not coincidentally, Obama “reset” his relationship with Putin and gave him a greenlight to invade Crimea… And its offshore oil deposits…
If Putin had been able to exploit Ukraine, as he does Russia, global plutocracy would have been happy. But, after being stunned by the invasion of Crimea, which it did not resist, Ukraine fought back triumphantly when the Donbas was invaded. Russia, France, the US, the UK, and the dictator in China had clearly violated the 1994 Budapest accord, according to which Ukraine gave 1900 nuclear warheads to Russia, in exchange for security guaranty for its territory, forever.
“Representative democracy” is a half way house between pure dictatorship and real democracy. Clearly, it has become unsustainable… Be it only because of the problem of too many nukes in too few hands… But real democracy, direct democracy will not be achieved without maximizing truth…

In 2006, Poland’s defense minister, Radoslaw Sikorski, likened plans to build the first Nord Stream pipeline to the 1939 Molotov-Ribbentrop pact — the half official, half secret agreement between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union dividing Eastern Europe into spheres of influence, and providing the Nazis with the Kremlin’s help to wage war. It made the Kremlin’s Berlin indispensable ally: the Wehrmacht invaded Western Europe fuelled by Russian oil. Sikorski in 2006: “Poland has a particular sensitivity to corridors and deals above our head,” Sikorski said at a security conference in Brussels. “That was the 20th century. Putin is a virus, and its vaccine is called Ukraine. To get rid of Putin, and foster democracy, one had to encourage him to attack Ukraine. What better to fight a tyrant than full war with a powerful democracy? Nothing else would do, the tyrant was too well installed, with towering popularity. So his internal enemies had to convince Putin that invading Ukraine would be a walk in the park, shooting off Nazis.
How that popularity was won is itself a measure of how evil Russia became. In 2014, Putin wanted to invade Crimea. His two most powerful collaborators, Shoigu, minister of defense and a personal friend, a native of poor and isolated Tuva, in the mountains of Siberia, and Gerasimov, the commander in chief of the Russian army, apostle of hybrid warfare
Who had an interest in getting rid of Putin? Putin’s kleptocracy has stolen Russia, to invest the stolen wealth in the West, overpaying while purchasing Western oligarchs’ properties, making all oligarchs happier. What was stolen by Russian oligarchs made Western oligarchs even wealthier..So Western oligarchs loved Putin and its wealth-transferring-to-the West oligarchy. Now, of course, the Western oligarchs are frustrated as Putin’s unraveling is threatening to dismantle the entire exploitation contraption.
Distinct lack of enthusiasm in some French and German circles of power has everything to do with the fact Franco-Germania organized much of its economy around Putin. It was not just getting gas from Putin; the French Total oil giant provided the Putin Reich with vast and ultra expensive installations similar to those provided to Qatar, to put on méthanier boats liquefied Siberian gas heading to Asia. These boats are some of the largest in the world, and pack several times the explosive power of Hiroshima.
European ecologists and the likes of Merkel, were financed, or controlled, from the Kremlin. At least so say retired heads of French secret services. So the ecologists were anti-nuclear, and even anti-Western European gas (France has one century of gas reserves; so the ecologists, pushed by the Kremlin, had France pass a law outlawing the extraction of gas… in France. If the gas was provided by the Kremlin tyrant, that was fine).
So the only remaining hypothesis is that elements inside the FSB misled Putin about Ukraine, in the hope of having Putin destroy his regime there. Instead, it’s Russia which may end up destroyed.
This is not the sole mechanism at work there. In the 1990s, Western advisers (Harvard, etc.) persuaded Yeltsin that Russia needed to be led to prosperity by an oligarchy. As the oligarchy was bound to steal Russia and make it stupid, the very origin of the Putin regime may not lay just in Alexander Nevsky’s sick ideology of ruling inside with brutality by allying oneself with evil (the Mongol invaders).
The war may look insane, and it is. But it developed because of deep manipulations from very dark minds… who may have hoped that this sort of madness would develop as the intricate mess it has become… precisely because it could be exploited. The FSB may have incited Putin to commit a terrible mistake, so that he could be brought down. And the West certainly long collaborated with Putin, inciting him subtly to become ever worse.
Now the ongoing existence of the largest land empire, by far, is being called into question, and democracies themselves can’t let Putin win. Anything at all.
If Putin is a tool, does that mean that there are even more evil forces out there? Indeed! The cause of an evil is, in a sense always a greater evil. And causes work best when unexplained, undetected, and unexpected. This is why it is important to understand Machiavellianism, the art of making people do something while believing that there are doing the opposite.

For months, he struggled to come to terms with what instead became a costly quagmire, and found himself isolated and distrustful at the pinnacle of a power structure designed to reinforce his belligerent worldview and shelter him from discouraging news…

PS 2: Tyrant Vladimir Putin also indirectly attacked Russian oligarchs on December 22, 2022, along lines similar to those I drew above (and in many of my essays prior). Putin stated that Russians who drain Russia’s money from abroad and do not have a connection with Russia “represent a danger” to Russia.Putin claimed that while the majority of Russian businessmen are patriots, there are some who are not. Putin had nationalized many non-compliant oligarchs from a similat logic 20 years ago.

Intriguingly, many top Nazis resembled more the parodies of “Jews” that they depicted, condemned, rejected and despised… whereas often the “Jews” look like ordinary European people. One reason for this is that many Western European Jews had ancestors who converted to Judaism, so their distant ethnic origins were not necessarily exclusively from the Middle East.
This is true even for superman super Nazi Reinhard Heydrich… and certainly for Nazi photographer Herman Heukels. Dr. Goebbels, Hitler’s fanatical Nazi chief propagandists and successor, who killed his 6 children, aged 4 to 12 years old… started to hate Jews after he was rejected by a Jewish girl. Goebbels also advocated the assassination of handicapped people… although he himself was so handicapped that the German army refused him for military service… And so on. Nazis seem to have been so full of hatred that they hated even themselves, and thus pretended to not be who they were, or looked like. Hitler asked himself whether the “Jews” were German… And deduced that they were not… Although Hitler was certainly not a German, as he was born and educated as an Austrian… And besides Hitler could not prove that he was not a “Jew” according to the Nazi definition of “Jew”, as one of his paternal grandmother was employed by a wealthy Jew, and got a child of unkown male parentage.
The most famous example of an “Aryan” baby was actually the picture of a… Jewish baby… which throned as the cover of a Nazi propaganda magazine (I have written an essay on this, years ago).
Nazism was then also an adventure in sadomasochism, rejection of reality and self-rejection, not just racial hatred… As seen in today’s war, that invasion of Ukraine officially motivated by claiming Ukrainian nationalists are Nazis…
Obviouly those massively engaging in “Nazi” behavior in Ukraine are those obsessed by Nazism in Ukraine, namely Putin and his orcs.
Sadomasochism is one concept. The sadist extolls pain, giving pain, but then receiving it belongs to the same universe… One doesn’t go without the other…
Historians have relied on Herman Heukels’s pictures of Jewish persecution in World War II, but it’s not widely known that the Dutch photographer shot them as Nazi propaganda.
Herman Heukels looked more like the Jewish archetype which he condemned to extinction… than the pictures of Jews he himself took… The latter looked quite often like fully ordinary Europeans… This may be why the Nazis, ultimately did not use the pictures he made…
