So-called “Right Wing Populist” Parties are gaining in Europe… In the polls, in spite of the best efforts of the plutocratic media to vilify them. Opponents of Populists are often Fake Left Elitist Parties or Plutocratic Elitist Parties… Because the so-called “Right Wing Populist” are gaining, the Fake Wing Elitists, stuffed with all they stole, are panicking. In France they outright send the leading right politicians in front of judges on trumped-up charges. Sarkozy, a right wing French president, was sent to prison… It’s impossible to describe why: the charges seem self-contradictory…. I am not pro-Sarkozy, and have never been… Until Sarkozy was sent to prison, and I wondered if myself or someone I knew could be sent to prison too, for charges which are not understandable… A crime of Sarkozy? Having destroyed the maniacal dictatorship of Qaddafi… Which is exactly why he was sent to prison, having had subalterns speak with Qaddafi, as French emissaries, a decade before Qaddafi was executed… Maybe Islamo-leftist judges are resentful about Libya in ways they can’t express?
Another example is Marine Le Pen, head of the main opposition party in France was accused of poor supervision of some people 17 years ago, when she was in the European Parliament, and those people would have in turn employed other people who were paid for some jobs in the European Parliament and may have done another in part instead… Yes, Byzantine. The charges were launched by the German Socialist Party (SPD), a completely corrupt organization entangled for decades with the Kremlin tyrant (long story) .
Right now the EU is highly dysfunctional. One does not feel in democracy in Europe. One rather feels in a fascist state. When abused there is no remedy. One gets speeding tickets from dysfunctional robots. No human can be involved. It’s like war of the worlds, and the extraterrestrials are in command.
Say something about the Last Lady of France being a pedocriminal for bedding a 15 year old student, and you will be sent in front of judges. Don’t joke she is a man, that’s worse. Same last lady makes gifts to all her friends for all to see… Imagine in the USA saying Melania is a man, and being sued by the criminal system. Actually some US citizens sitting in the USA are sued for claiming the Last Lady was a man.
The EC is deeply tainted by the association with Putin, and cannot crack down on the banks involved in the matter, or use the Russian funds. The European Parliament has serious corruption problems with several principals arrested (foreign minister, VP, etc.) .
The bottom line is that there is not enough direct democracy in Europe… An enormous meta structure was set-up, the European Union, European Commission, European Parliament, European Court of Justice, European this that and the other thing… But there is so little DEMOS supervision that DEMOS, PEOPLE, has become an INSULT….
Resulting in a European government which is a plutocratic puppet which makes deals with world plutocrats while deindustrializing under the cover of “degrowth”…. All this disguised with the powerful anesthetic of “saving the planet”, one Greta Thurnberg at a time. Meanwhile normal life, like heating, driving, eating, is made difficult…
The continual drive of the European government is to maximize the erosion of the AGENCY of European citizens. Why? This is what the European plutocracy want. Plutocracies always want to decrease AGENCY, so that they can further their unfair rule without exerting too much with unhinged evil.
So the EUropean Commission enables multibillionaires from Brazil who ravage the Amazon to sell their soy beans while forbidding European farmers to use the same products in Europe (“Mercosur”). Interest? The wealthy plutocrats holding expensive German car maker stocks will be grateful to the EC commissioners. Those BMWs going to Brazil… And those private jets made in Europe, sold tax free on the Isle of Man….
The latest is making it so that people cannot drive personal vehicles. So above 75 they will not be able to drive (don’t worry they do not say it explicitly). Another trick is robotic radars everywhere, if possible dysfunctional radars (People get flashed at half the speed limit… but one can’t see a judge to defend oneself!). Then people have no more points they can’t drive… Without being criminals. France has millions of driving criminals…. When Meloni became Prime Minister of Italy, she cancelled eleven million speeding tickets.
Before the European Commission just tried to make cars impossibly expensive by requiring all to become electric, and then exploding up the price of electricity, sometimes by ten times (one order of magnitude) … Thanks to those hyper costly wonderful windmills and solar panels made in CHINA, which, according to the delirious imagination of elitist European authorities, must work even at night, with no wind, in the freezing fog of the barometric swamp…. (They don’t care, THEIR electricity, the electricity of the elite, will never be cut: if the lowest of the low, the Plebs don’t like it, they can always fly private!)
Those who rumble and grumble get arrested and charged with corruption… Put in prison (Sarkozy) prevented to run for office (Le Pen), etc.. But Epstein? Isn’t dead, and is not pedocriminality in France non-existent as it represents a healthy overturn of Bourgeois norms… By the caviar left?
Islamo-leftist jihadist judges will send you to prison for burning a Quran, a gross violation of church and state separation. In France, Sweden, UK. Reason: a particular clientele of Europe haters allowed to vote want those judges to apply Sharia (many should be sent back where they come from… But they sit in the European or national Parliaments, vomiting night and day, their hate for civilization… This is no joke, they make private terrorist groups protected by “justice” and then spread terror…One is talking about assassins there, sanctioned by the State... Although, considering the outcry, that may change…).
By some standards, Europe is LESS FREE religiously than three centuries ago, as HARD CORE Islam is now becoming the state religion, following the degenerate fake thinkers of the recent past (those who invented “FRENCH THEORY). Astounding. Proof? Muhammad or the Fanaticism (Mahomet ou le Fanaticisme) a Voltaire play from 1936, was played in Paris 292 years ago (yes three centuries). But now it’s impossible to play it: try, you get killed. Islamo-leftists terrorize and kill, because the judges let them terrorize and kill. Catholic non violent Quentin Deranque was kicked to death by members of an association protected by French judges, and founded by a French Member of Parliament… February 2026…. The Islamo-leftist (a contradiction) is sacred to some European pseudo intellectuals for the same reason that the FNL was sacred in the 1950s… It is a continuation of the same error, the failure to KNOW WHAT CIVILIZATION IS. Yes, there was an Islamic civilization in Baghdad ten centuries ago, but then it was destroyed by the Mongols, and that was then, this is now. By “CIVILIZATION” one must understand the latest and best model. If pharaoh Hatshepsut, who had earlier been the Great Priestess, was around, she would understand the flow of progress (she had herself named pharaoh, and ruled alone 22 years, 3,505 years ago, then a revolution for a female, although she was not the first female pharaoh)…
By the way, the famous French health care system is in complete collapse, it’s a glorious sight, as now only the wealthy can go get health care in Switzerland to save their lives (I am in good position to know). Yes, French citizens have to go to Switzerland for cancer treatment from their own pocket… But the “ASSOCIATION” budget of France is bigger than higher eduction and research combined…
The French plutocratic elite reacts by redacting out all the Epstein connections (besides the “justice” system they own all European media), and arresting opponents. In Germany many would like to outlaw the main opposition party, the AfD, Alternative For Deutschland…. The Socialist president is all for it…
Meanwhile, India will soon have more modern French fighter bombers than France, while French media have revealed that Ukraine uses experienced US and Dutch pilots and specialists on board F16s to defend against Russian drone and cruise missile attacks... That revelation is akin to high treason…. Do not hold your breath about anybody getting arrested for this treason. Speaking of high treason, many collaborations of European governments with Putin in the last 27 years are akin to extremely high treason against civilization. And it’s not just German ploticians, I mean politicians (is there a difference?) Prominent French ones too.
So will the oppositions succeed to come to power? Not clear, plutocratic media and judges are doing their evil best. … Meanwhile in Italy, the supposedly uneducated blonde Meloni is proving to be an excellent Prime Minister… Maybe because she thinks according to simple common sense… She is supposed to be right wing, of course, but she dared to do what Obama did not dare to do: she legalized (naturalized) the illegal immigrants who deserved it… So that makes her a true leftist whereas Obama was a fake one. A fakist? Was Obama a fakist? Meloni is authentic. That’s an important quality. Forget about “right” or “left”… Authentic or fake, that’s where civilization comes into play.
Then Meloni closed the door of illegal immigration by going to Africa, and talking no nonsense to Africans, and making them agree to stop the flow. Socialist Sanchez in Spain is now doing the same, as a parrot, but without closing the door so there too, the “Right Wing Populists” will soon be the most popular….

Many European politicians talk with forked tongues. They claim the US is a problem because the USA wants to defend the North American tectonic plate. The Europeans on the other hand accuse the USA to not defend Ukraine enough. What liars! US pilots and US warplanes are in Ukrainian skies… And a few French planes, true. but, after Putin invaded 7% of Ukraine, Crimea, where Obama and the Europeans suggested to Ukraine not to defend itself, and the Donbas, where Ukraine counterattacked magnificently…. What did the Europeans do? Well France sold crucial military electronics to Putin. That was the work of the venal French president (venal, because he sold to Putin). Mr. Hollande is a “Socialist”. Maybe he has nostalgia for the USSR, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics…. Nostalgia, as Putin does?
Between 2015 and 2020 France had secretly armed Russia, under “Socialists” Hollande and Macron. Shouldn’t not we judge them? Differently from pedocriminal Epstein, arming invasive tyrant Putin is much graver. Open sources, the French Parliament showed that since 2015 France has issued 76 export licences to Russia for military equipment worth a total of 152 million euros. French aerospace and defence companies Thales and Safran, in which the French state has major stakes were among the culprits. But even an electronic company based next to Grenoble contributed, etc. This is just the emerged part of the iceberg. Much of the equipment was navigation systems and optronics, in which the French are supreme (way better than the USA). That equipped thousands of Russian warplanes, helicopters, tanks and armored vehicles. Known spending is well above half a billion dollars for this equipment that Russia is completely incapable of producing, and which enables high precision stealth strikes on the battlefield.
In any case the US President, Trump 45, in his first term, sent lethal weaponry to Kyiv, something Europe did not do, and which enabled Ukraine to resist in February 2022. European leaders know all of this and it is demonstrated by their buying of US weapons…
One may wonder, looking at Macron testing a state of the art Topowl helmet for fighter pilot which shows various indications to enable to look in any direction, and which were sold to Russia with other top ot world electronics found on the Rafale fighter… What was going on in the heads of such traitors as they were betraying civilization?
What civilization is remains in Europe a subject of great confusion. Putin would say: oh, they are all Nazis and in a way that would be correct (takes one to know one!) What has happened is that some proto-Nazi thinkers are still revered and taught in Europe. And I do not mean the parade of sorry Russian ultranationalist famous writers. If one looks at the journalism charter in Europe, one sees the work of Kant.
Kant, as a system of thought, is a proto-Nazi in the sense that, had the entire German population been anti-Kant, Nazism would NOT have been possible (OK, there are two Kants: the real one and the very different one after the French Revolution came to sniff around…). Kant pretended that one should absolutely collaborate with the state and always tell the truth to the authority of such a state… Even when the state came to assassinate your loved ones,Kant said you had to denounce them, otherwise civilization would not be possible. In other words, Kant was a cold blooded imbecile, Nazi style…. Indeed, Nazis, like Eichman, defended themselves by saying they just followed Kant. But European institutions are still grandly organized according to Kant’s intellectual fascism, because it favored the order which enabled the elite plutocracy (in Russia, Stalin headed a plutocracy, but it had no elite roots… Stalin purged them in 1937 at the latest…).
Anyway, want the truth? United Europe exists, it’s called the United States of America.
The USA has enough AGENCY to keep the Empire of the West afloat… But just barely (hence the need for Greenland, any acres of snow help). Further European betrayal of European values, under the brainwashing caused by European plutocracy, would be a problem, though...
Paradoxically, annexing Greenland, which the US must do, considering Europe’s ineptitude, and missiles’ trajectories, could be an excuse for Europeans to resume their collaboration with nuclear tyrant Putin… Choices, choices, choices… This is why it’s important to point out that Europeans were busy betraying civilization well before they lost Greenland… Actually that latter error was in the 1980s…
US Vice President JD Vance mentioned SOME of the preceding last year in Munich Defense Conference, in a direct style. US Secretary struck a more conciliatory, pedagogical stance, with the common civilizational angle. But either were talking to the entrenched, arrogant and asinine elite (I have met some).
When the Roman State went down, starting in 395 CE, the governing elite preferred to make deals with barbarians, and keep its status, rather than go to the PEOPLE, raise a popular army and risk their status. Then, as now “POPULIST” was the enemy of ELITIST.
By 380 CE no treachery was treacherous enough: Theodosius I, a Catholic fanatic which make the most fundamentalist contemporary Muslim extremist look like a humanitarian in comparison, allied himself with the Goths of Alaric to destroy the Occidental Roman Army led by the Frankish general Arbogast (long Roman chief of staff). This outrageous Roman elitist treachery is a warning: European plutocracy and the states it captured, and the ridiculous European Commission, could relish diving towards the bottom of the ocean, as long as they preserve their elite status instead of the prisons many of them deserve…

I sell, therefore I am.
P/S: The preceding essay could have been more fully entitled: Considering its increasing vassality to the USA, China and its own arrogant pedocriminal and Putinian plutocracy, will Europe’s subjugated people rise before it’s too late to ever do so again?
Pedocriminality? Not a exaggeration: it turns out that criminal inquiries on the Epstein network in France were closed in 2022… When it can actually be argued that much of the French elite was involved, and that, differently from the USA where so-called intellectuals did not profess pedocriminality, in France, pedocriminality was massively professed, and promoted, by much of the French intellectual elite.. With the complicity of the authorties for this “New Sexuality”. Considering that who was once the ultimate boss of the guy represented above was intimate with Epstein… One will understand the reluctance…
After publication of the preceding, the French Paris prosecutor just opened (February 18, 2026) two new inquiries on the Epstein affair...

What We Must Be Ruled By Better Ideas, Better Emotions
The old Platonic idea was that that the wisest ought to lead is more pertinent than ever: being ruled by whom Plato called philosopher-kings… Not it should not be a choice anymore, if survival is the objective. We need more direct democracies, and less celebritism… The philosopher-king concept is a hope that celebritism and a genius-mind will help; instead what will help more is deeper and better common thinking and emoting as the elitist approach has resulted in increased celebritism, power-mongering, and plutocratization (in this order).
Indeed, of course, absolute power corrupts absolutely, and the international pedophile networks uniting French “socialists” in power, Russian oligarchs and depraced US multibillionaires, are testimony enough to this old truth…
MOREOVER, here comes another rub: HYPER WISE SUPER BRAINS towering over the rest of the fools out there, have better things to do than leading said fools to a more optimal world… Should a hyper mind focus on chickens and their chicks all day long, wisdom would not progress. Only cackling and quacking. Also scratching.
An intermediate stage is when the hyper wise is secret counsel. BUT then, once again, the pollution by multi billionaires carry away all… This was actually tried with a recent president and failed spectacularly.
***
Ironically enough, Plato was succeeded by his student and friend Aristotle. Aristotle is a towering figure in the history of thought. He contributed to science (falsely in physics, but spectacularly positively in biology and logic). And also to ethics, politics, etc… Not just a philosopher, but also a monarchist… Aristotle was the HIDDEN KING: Aristotle’s influence on the Macedonian tyrants was colossal: Aristotle was the master, the soul, the inspiration. Alexander was Aristotle’s pupil. Antipater, the most towering successor (and predecessor!) of Alexander, was the executor of Aristotle’s will. Antipater executed the top intellectuals of Athens while converting the city to a plutocracy.
Philosopher kings in power have existed: Draco, Solon, Cincinatus, arguably David, Salomon, Caesar (who succeeded to impose two redistribution laws where the Gracchi had failed 99%…), Gallia Placida, Clovis, Queen Bathilde (she outlawed slavery, child trafficking, among other things), Charlemagne, William the Conqueror, Peter the Great, Washington (“greatest man whoever lived” opined Napoleon, learning that Washington intended to abdicate), Mandela, etc…
***
Please notice that I did not mention some of the usual suspects: Marcus Aurelius ruled over an empire in full decomposition: he faced a major revolt by a top general, lost the most crucial Rio Tinto mines in Spain to some invaders, and named his disastrous son emperor at the grand old age of 16… Although Marcus had several very competent and noble top generals, republican minded to choose from. His thoughts are a compendium of banalities learned form his teachers, which he repeated as an imperial parrot.
Nor did I name Frederik II of Prussia: this racist was admired by Hitler (enough said…) Or Catherine II of Russia (that Tzarina, a German princess, conquered what Putin is trying to grab back….)
***
So what is the way out, nowadays, besides studying carefully how the Roman Republic worked for about five centuries? Seriate, deconstruct and then rebuild from scratch. The optimal IDEAS and FEELINGS ought to rule. And the first one ought to be: TRUTH ITSELF… Followed by agency and then liberty… All these behaviors are entangled with DIRECT DEMOCRACY… Where people, not individuals, vote the laws…
The Revolutionaries of 1789 respected no monarch, and delighted in destroying their remains…
Except queen Bathilde, represented above. The revolutionaries of 1789 understood what they owed to this ex-slave who outlawed slavery.
Her remains, then 1100 years old were evacuated to a distant church, and her coffin was left unmolested… And amazing honor. In 1983, the republican authorities opened her coffin, which had been left closed for 1302 years.
The nuns of the Chelles monastery had left special authentification markers, for the eons to come. Bathilde was found to be only five feet tall, with strawberry blonde hair. The picture above has been AI created, using existing ancient medieval depictions of Bathilde. Her amazing life is the best documented of a person from the Seventh Century, with nine independent historiographic sources, some elogious, some most hateful. But that is to be expected about someone who changed the course of civilization. If there is one single explanation to the rise of the West which we must roll out, she is that explanation.
My own opinion, looking at all the existing evidence, is that she came from East Anglia, probably Norfolk (where a gold coin representing sex on one side and “Bathildis” on the other was found recently). She had been captured by Danish slavers. Bathildis was probably extremely high born, of superior will and inteligence, and her beauty was legendary… explaining she ended up servant of the Mayor of the Palace, Erchinoald (PM of Neustria). After the death of his wife, Erchinoald offered to marry her, but she hid in a pile of dirty linen and kept on hiding until he found somebody else. She ended up catching the eye and marrying the Prince, the future Clovis II, aged 15.
So she rejected the very wealthy and powerful Prime Minister, no less, and instead went for his future boss, the Prince. She was older than her spouse, and he was ailing. There is evidence that she was the de facto ruler, even while her young husband was alive. 4 or 5 children later, he died, and she became the formally ruling queen. She ruled with an iron fist, great intelligence and allied bishops.
Three of her sons became king, while they were still children, so she ended up ruling both Neustria and Austrasia, the entire Imperium Francorum (that included eastern France, Switzerland and south Germany). She not only prevented child trafficking, and outlawed slavery of Frankish citizens (soon to call themselves “Europeans”), but she extended this courtesy to her “own race” (the English, who were not part of the Imperium Francorum, although somewhat of a protectorate). Stephen of Ripon writes in his Vita Sancti Wilfrithi (Life of Saint Wilfrid), that Queen Balthild was a ‘new Jezebel’, and great killer of bishops… Stephen himself escaped execution when the executive committee realized he was a visitor from England, or so he claims… But bishops were generally from slave holding families… Other bishops were her allies, and some paid it with their lives. She founded and funded around five monasteries, the universities of the time.
Bathilde was expelled from power after reigning around 15 years, and she complained bitterly about the “betrayal” which had made that possible. However, her reforms are enjoyed to this day. The effect of outlawing slavery on Western civilization enabled Europe to take off technologically, and thus cognitively. Within two generations the Frankish government passed a formal law requiring religious establishment to teach secularly according to the Roman educational system,,, Interestingly Charlemagne as a child was educated in the art of war already in childhood, and, although he spoke several languages, including Greek and Latin, and never learned to read and write… Although he tried very hard to do so… Charlemagne imposed mandatory mixed schools of noble and poor children.
All big cities of the Empire of the West ought to have a statue of Bathilde….
Those who want philosopher-kings ought to know our civilization steering philosopher-queen…

Abstract: “Being right” is probably the most important human notion: on this, pretty much all mentalities agree. “Right, by opposition to wrong” has been the driver of human evolution (the moral space, “right” as moral right, is just a subset of truth in general, and a frail one at that). Yes, the one with the science that is less wrong, the one who is more right, will tend to win wars.
Mentalities—collective cognitive-cultural software—change faster, and more deeply under the pressure of war. War is the ultimate selection mechanism for superior mindsets (as the Kremlin will find out to its sorrow). War forces reality checks that refute delusions. War is the ultimate confrontation with reality, it makes mentalities falsifiable (this is a generalization of what makes scientific sense possible according to Karl Popper).
Humanity progresses by throwing out the old software, and embracing newer ones. That process works “ONE FUNERAL AT A TIME” as Max Planck, the discoverer of the Quantum (E = hf) put it. [0]
War is the best way to get a lot of funerals, and thus to change mentalities in a hurry.
Putin seems to have killed at least half a million Russian soldiers trying to conquer Ukraine from 2014 to 2025. That may not be enough to change Russian mentalities. It was only after around ten million Germans died in World War Two, and around 5% of humanity worldwide, that Germany was ready for a serious re-examination of its once victorious mentality (it’s not completed yet).
Let’s explore some of the most recent mentalities at play today, and how they relate to war.

MAKE AVARICE GREAT AGAIN (MAGA); US Policy Repeatedly Prioritized US Advantage Over Civilizational Solidarity:.
The entire planet can see the debasing spectacle of the US leadership trying to make money out of the invasion of Ukraine, sending billionaires to chew the fat with the Kremlin tyrants, as the US Deep Plutocratic State did after World War One and during World War Two … This is an allusion to the new 2025 Trump policy of SELLING US weapons to Europeans who then pass the weapons to Ukraine… Instead of the prior policy of giving weapons to Ukraine; even then, 90% of the US spending returned to the US Defense Industrial Base, which then acted like a subsidy for US weapon manufacturers [1]).
Except, this time, people are finally noticing this new version of MAGA. Turning war into a money machine is the mentality of the US Deep Plutocratic State,Major General Butler had already observed this, a century ago [2]. Much of US infrastructure, such as railroads and canals, had been built in the 19th century, on European credit (yes, even the Erie canal, financed by the state… using European capital).
The USA transitioned from an indebted nation to the world’s largest creditor after WWI (by the elegant maneuver of charging the French for every single bullet…This fact is NOT hyperbole although it may appear to be so to those with too noble an idea of US governance…)
Just as now, December 2025, thanks to Trump, all the US weapons sent to Ukraine are charged to European taxpayers: MAGA, Make Avarice Great Again!

US NEFARIOUSNESS HIDING BELOW ACADEMIC LIES IN HOW THE US EMPIRE APPEARED:
It is often argued by US academia (which is mostly financed by US plutocracy, both directly and indirectly) that the grand old USA had no “nefarious” intent in breaking France and Britain economically and financially by using World War One as an instrument of financial ruin. It is of course impossible to believe this as Washington had been begged by Paris and London to stop evading the blockade of Germany, as early as 1914 (with the blockade on, Germany would have quickly lost the war). So, clearly the USA had evil intent, ignoring the fight for survival of France and Britain for years, knowing full well that, the longer World War One, the wealthier those invited to the White House would be, and the mightier the USA.
Want more proof of nefariousness? The US seized German property, and distributed it to US plutocrats. The U.S. seized a wide range of German-owned properties after World War I under the Trading with the Enemy Act of 1917, which empowered the Alien Property Custodian (A. Mitchell Palmer) to take control of assets deemed potentially supportive of the enemy, amassing roughly by war’s end the equivalent of the pre-war US federal budget!.
Starting in 1919, Wall Street was put, de facto, in charge of Germany. U.S. banks and investors earned interest and fees on large German and European loans (avarice again), while U.S. policy insisted that European Allies still repay in full their war debts to the United States, creating a circular and fragile system where German reparations were indirectly recycled to pay the Allies’ debts… (This explains why some French properties destroyed by the German army in 1914-1918 have still not been rebuilt)

KREMLIN’S MENTALITY: STRAIGHT FROM THE CONQUERING MONGOLS:
Facing those gory clowns from the US Deep Plutocratic Stater, are the Kremlin lunatics who apparently feel that the entire planet is all invading Mongols, not to say Mongolians, invading 4/7/365, all of them Nazis.
See “The Genesis Of The Kremlin’s Base Mentality” for the 800 years old context, starting with Aspasia’s quote: “A polity is a thing which nurtures men, good men when it is noble, bad men when it is base.”
The Muscovite state was built on Mongol administrative, fiscal, military, and terror practices. Could it have been different? Possibly, as Novgorod and Pskov developed republics, even under Mongol overlordship. Yet, a succession of Kremlin tyrants were highly successful (Ivan III in 1480 CE, Ivan IV, etc.) And this mentality has been solidly ingrained in Russian culture, depicting those who opposed the Tsar as traitors, and Ukraine is now reevaluating some classical Russian literature (Pushkin, Gogol, etc.).
After 1478 CE (capture of prosperous republican Novgorod to Tsar Ivan III the Great) and 1480 CE (end of the Great Stand on the Ugra, when the “Tatar yoke” became history), Muscovy retained Mongol governance logics: patrimonial autocracy, servitor nobility (pomest’e), terror as policy, frontier warfare mentality.
A conquest mentality reproduces and reinforces conquest mentalities. In 1654 CE, Ukrainian Cossacks signed an alliance, the Treaty of Pereyaslav with Moscow (against Poland-Lithuania), which the Kremlin decided to interpret as a treaty of submission. This brought continual encroachment on the Kremlin’s part, including the abolition of the Zaporizhian Sich in 1775 (under husband killer Tsarina Catherine The Great)
The Treaty of Pereyaslavt illustrates a clash of mentalities: the Ukrainian Cossacks viewed it as a temporary military alliance, while the Kremlin (operating on the Mongol “submission” software) viewed it as eternal subjugation. This specific historical misunderstanding is still playing out in the 21st century.
Conveniently the Kremlin forgot that it used to be allied to Hitler and this is how the Nazis invaded Europe, East and West (or at least the parts which the Kremlin had not already invaded like the Baltic countries, Poland, Finland, Ukraine, etc.) .
The Nazi tanks advancing through France, and the planes of the Blitz bombing Britain burned Kremlin oil. TheKremlin did not just give massive Soviet exports in oil, grain, manganese, rubber to the Nazis, but also rare elements necessary for modern alloys, food… bypassing the Allied (Franco-British-Commonwealth) blockade. Once the rare element pipeline from the Kremlin, in particular chromium, got cut off by the stupid Nazis themselves, they found out to their dismay that their jet engines melted… And the dreamed science fiction Wunderwaffen thereafter melted on the tarmac…
The Kremlin alliance with Nazism was crucial. Consider simply oil: in 1944-1945, Germany ran out of oil. Germany couldn’t train its pilots anymore (that would have used oil necessary for combat). Jet fighters were dragged in position on the runways, pulled by oxen. So, seriously, Nazi tanks would not have invaded the Netherlands, Belgium and France without Russian oil. The Great Reich in its greatest expression was greatly a Kremlin masterpiece, because, without the alliance with Stalin, Germany would have been stuck into what it truly was: a weak power..

EUROPE COLONIZED BY ITS EX-COLONIES:
Colonial inversion is a real historical phenomenon (see Rome’s fall to Germanic elites, Persians taking control of the Damas Caliphate in 750 CE, Abbasid dependency on peripheral Turkic Mamluks, China’s repeated conquests by many steppe groups, Portugal becoming a province of Brazil, etc…)
So on the left the US Deep Plutocratic State, on the right, the Kremlin mentality. Under foot, Europe. Seen on the greatest historical scale, this is the case of the master civilization being occupied by its ex-colonies (“Rus” initially designated an ethnicity of Sweden).
That the colonizer ended up being colonized shouldn’t surprise anybody: the present North American population exists because the preceding American population was mostly exterminated. Profiting from a shared genocide forges a community.
Similarly, if at some point Russia extended over 24 million square kilometers, nearly a quarter of the ice free, non barren land on Earth, that was thanks to many a genocide and scorched earth policies (what is happening in Ukraine at the Kremlin’s claws is much less horrendous than the conquest of the North Caucasus in the 19th century when even forests got exterminated).
***
VIOLENCE CAN SET MENTALITIES, FOR BETTER OR WORSE, FOR CENTURIES:
When a civilization practices genocide for centuries and as a strategy, the civilization becomes genocidal. Reciprocally the rise of Europe can be traced to the Frankish strategy of dismantling Christian terror (inaugurated by emperor Constantine), practicing openness, and then outlawing slavery (launch of Francia, 481 CE-657 CE)
The road to hell or heavens can be taken after a couple of battles: the Frankish regime of refoundation of Rome the right way, was mostly the fruit of two battles: in the first one Clovis, representing legitimate Roman power, destroyed Syagrus’ rogue, illegal dynastic regime (486 CE). The other crucial battle was Clovis’ destruction of the Goths, ejecting them from Gallia (507 CE; the Goths had beaten the Romans for 250 years…).
The example of the Aztecs is revealing: they enjoyed war for war’s sake (“flower wars”), it fed the gods and also stomachs with proteins… But when the Conquistadores appeared, they couldn’t change mentalities on a dime, and instead ate some Conquistadores… Big mistake… Cortez’s army may have had 82,000 soldiers, 80,000 of them local enemies of the Aztecs. Also many cities produced weapons for the Conquistadores, especially bolts for crossbows.
One speaks of Aztec civilization. Yes, the Aztec had a civilization, but it was recent and fragile. As far as their neighbors were concerned, Aztecs were basically savages, with a savage mentality, who had conquered their predecessors who had made all the discoveries. After settling a few differences, Cortez and his Native Mayan wife-princess interpreter found easy common ground, and an alliance was born. The Aztecs were more a derivative civilization, not creators like the Toltecs and the Maya.

OUTLAWING SLAVERY: NOT JUST A MORAL TRIUMPH BUT A TECHNOLOGICAL CATALYST. QUEEN BATHILDE’S STRATEGIC RESTRUCTURING OF FRANCO-ROMAN CIVILIZATION:
Bathilde was probably the Princess of Kent, thus very knowledgeable, self-assured, domineering and valuable. Captured by corsairs, she was sold to the Mayor of the palace (the French equivalent of what would be a Shogun in Japan 800 years later), She refused to marry him, escaped and then instead persuaded the Frankish Prince, only 14 years old, to marry her, ten years his senior. The king then died, and Bathilde was queen. Bathilde soon led the Imperium Francorum on her own, while having five children. In 657 CE her husband died, and the once enslaved queen exacted vengeance on slavery. Queen Bathilde outlawed child trafficking and the slave trade (within the Frankish empire). That abolition was not just a moral choice, it incentivized:
free peasants,
military service,
technological substitution for slave labor.
This is the most spectacular example of a CONSTRUCTIVE PROGRESSIVE SHATTERING OF INFERIOR MENTALITIES. That was a DRASTIC departure from the Greco-Roman civilizational model, which depended upon slavery (as Aristotle pointed out). Bathilde also funded 5 monasteries which were, at the time, the equivalent of universities.. Because the Franks encouraged, and then mandated, the teaching of secular knowledge by religious establishments. When, 400 years later, in the 12th century, the Christians evolved the lunatic idea of requiring celibacy for clerics, professors rebelled, and the Cathedral Schools, which were the wealthiest schools were transmogrified into universities…
The first Franks/Europeans who visited China, a few centuries later, were amazed to see hundreds of Chinese lifting a single large trunk, a task which, in Francia, would have used few people, but lots of mechanical leverage (thus knowledge of the science of mechanics) and strong, large domesticated animals (labor horses or oxen made bigger, stronger and more docile by careful breeding).
Queen Bathilde was extremely fierce. She was advised by some friendly bishops, and that came in handy, because she had to execute many hostile bishops (typically from very wealthy families with hundreds of slaves), who depended upon slavery to achieve the good life which Aristotle had lauded and explicitly related to slavery…Bathilde was made a saint two centuries after her death… So even the Vatican recognized that many bishops had to be eliminated…And that Aristotle had to be contradicted.

ELEMENTS OF MENTALITY:
Colonies tend to be derivative in mentality and more simplistic, as their main energy consists in implementing their survivability… Colonies did not use genocides always: trade was another model; Greek colonies in Southern France were in excellent terms with the Native Celts).
Authors have pondered the clash of mentalities since before Caesar’s time. Actually Caesar used the psychological analysis of his enemy’s mentalities to gain advantage in battle: such is the core of his books. Much of the Roman army’s mentality was extremely refined, literate, disciplined, yet innovative and provided a crucial advantage in combat.
There are elements of mentalities, and they travel around like pieces of genetic code. When a combination of some of them starts to win, it becomes dominant, and gets to be called a “civilization”, “religion” or an “ideology”, or a way of life (Romanitas, Graecitas).

WARS ARE MOST EFFICIENT IN CHANGING MENTALITIES:
Islam is the poster boy of how to change mentalities through conquest: Islam’s sword swept through the Middle East and adjoining areas in a few years of spectacular battles, and has been there ever since. However, Islam has been far from a monolith: many variants have evolved… Generally one battle at a time (the “Battle of the Camel”, lost by Aisha may have been the most important, turning Islam into something sexist not intended by the Prophet).
Traditional thinkers deep in their academic burrows will pontificate that mentalities instead change through reflection, meditation and the haughty wisdom of the elite which they aspire to join (when they don’t belong to it already). That’s not supported by the facts.
Some will whine that believing that more primeval forces contribute more to the advancement of thinking, sounds a bit like Hitlerism, advocating for the selection of the fittest and the strongest. Indeed, except, applied to mentalities: Fittest and strongest, mentalities.. .
It’s not deep German thinking from academic ivory towers which demonstrated that Nazism was weak and not mentally fit. Instead a world war which killed around 100 million people, 5% of humanity, exterminated Nazism. Here is a detailed case:

The Case Of Max Planck: Enlightenment Through Mayhem:
Other German intellectuals besides Nietzsche saw Germany for what it had become.Einstein and his family fled to Italy, and Einstein studied in Switzerland to escape Germany’s “barracks mentality”. However, sponsored by Planck, Einstein ended up in Berlin at the pinnacle of German physics, served and helped by many top minds (like the mathematician Hilbert who helped Einstein with General Relativity). Interestingly, Max Planck was, in complete contrast with Einstein, a German nationalist (which explains their little plot pretending that Einstein discovered Relativity, the theory of Poincare’, Lorentz and others).
War can act in the most devious ways to enlighten even intellectuals. In the first days of the world war that Germany launched on August 1, 1914, the world media related the deliberate killing of Belgian civilians, and even small children, the burning of libraries, etc. Major General Ludendorff had given the orders. Max Planck, head of the Prussian and Imperial Academy, was among the 93 famous German nationalistic intellectuals who signed a letter, the “Manifesto of the Ninety-Three” denying that German soldiers invading neutral Belgium had committed atrocities in 1914. That was completely impossible: Planck and his fellow 92 super intellectuals firmly believed the Germans to be intrinsically good.
However as the war went on, Planck discovered progressively that this was not the case: neither the Belgians nor the French wanted to be conquered at all, and Great Britain agreed with them. One of Planck’s sons was made prisoner by the French, Planck could see Germany introducing chemical warfare, etc.
After Hitler became Chancellor, Planck went to talk to him about the disaster that the mistreatment of Jews brought to Germany. Over an hour, Planck explained to the “Guide” that his university had been destroyed by Nazi policies. To his dismay, Planck realized that Hitler was in his own world, and nobody could reach him there.
In 1944 Planck’s other son was arrested by the Nazis for acts of resistance and executed in 1945 (when the Nazis were certain to lose the war they felt the urgency to kill as many of their enemies as possible, and that included plenty of Germans)..
Planck died in 1947. Planck’s shift mirrors a national cognitive shift. Counting round one and two, it had taken more than 12 million German funerals for most of the remaining Germans to realize the errors of their ways. .

EUROPEAN DEFEATISM IS THE DOMINANT MENTALITY IN EUROPE:
Europe got severely defeated in the Twentieth Century. The Germans, who had just been unified by Prussia, embraced the latter racist, anti-Jewish, militaristic and imperialistic ways, and that well before committing a genocide in Namibia or launching a world war to subdue Europe (“1914”). Read Nietzsche why he hated Germans and why I am a good European instead of a German.
After Bismarck’s victory in 1871, Nietzsche saw the new German Reich as a triumph of militarism, nationalism, anti-Judaism, and beer-hall philistinism. He famously wrote in 1888:
“The Germans are now boring; they used to be merely uncultivated.”
(Ecce Homo, “Why I Am So Clever” §4).
Nietzsche, self-declared “good European”, believed the Reich turned Germans into obedient, sheep-like “good citizens” who worshipped power and success instead of greatness, and would bring the greatest wars and devastation to Europe in the 20th Century, and they did. Nietzsche thought German anti-Semitism was “the basest of all tastes.”
“The Germans – once they were called a people of thinkers: do they still think at all today? Germans now find thinking boring… I fear the Germans will soon have lost even their sense for music.” (Twilight of the Idols, “What the Germans Lack” §2)
“Good Germans, bad Germans – today there are only bad Germans.” (letter, late 1888)
Nietzsche was unfortunately right. It all came crashing down on August 2, 1914, when, without even bothering with a declaration of war, the Kaiserreich launched murderous war parties inside the French Republic. In the next four weeks, Germany would commit hundreds of war crimes in neutral Belgium, only to come to near annihilation when the French launched a successful, devastating counterattack east of Paris.(First Battle of the Marne).
France and Britain won World War One militarily. But economically, financially, diplomatically and in the realm of the crafty stabbing in the back, the US Deep Plutocratic State won. France and Britain, especially Britain, did not understand what had hit them. They should have resisted the USDPS: that was the only way to prevent round two, World War Two.

CEASEFIRE IN 1918, VICTORY DELAYED TO 1945, OR HOW US BECAME DOMINANT:
The Trump administration has pushed for a hasty ceasefire in Ukraine, giving Putin what he wants the most at this point, disarming Ukraine enough to ensure a Kremlin victory. We have seen that movie before, in 1918, when the USA flew to the rescue of Franco-British victory against the German tyranny and the USA established the US peace order, Pax Americana: Europe pays, US triumphs.
THE RIGHT MENTALITY IN 1918-1919 OUGHT TO HAVE BEEN TO EXTIRPATE WHAT BECAME NAZISM:
Plotting and executing a World War, as Germany did in 1914, is the ULTIMATE WAR CRIME (this is not just my words, but exactly, word for word, what the Nuremberg Trial wrote in 1945 when judging the Nazis). Ideally war criminals such as Ludendorff (chief of the German army) should have been arrested, tried and executed (he had personally ordered horrendous war crimes against civilians in August 1914 in Belgium, a neutral country deliberately attacked).
This way, after being hanged as he deserved to be, Ludendorff could not have founded the Nazi Party… It should have been for representative democracies France and Britain to remake Germany in 1919, as it was remade after 1945. Only that way could WW2 have been avoided. WW2 happened because WW1 got to a ceasefire… Not to a victory.
The US attitude in 1918-1919 was transparent: US president Wilson’s insistence on a “peace without victory” said it all. Itcould only be explained by Wilson’s racism (and thus his pro-German attitude).
Wilson, the most racist US president, could only be sympathetic to German racism. So France and Britain should have kept on going with the war, slow and steady, trying to take as few losses as possible, because the German army was done for, and the Southern Europe offensive, led by the French, had cut off Germany from food: one could count on the Serbs making sure it would stay that way.
***
If You Do Not Eradicate Destructive Mentalities, They Reconstitute Themselves:
Instead of finishing WW1 with a victory, the mentality in power at the time was peace at any cost and France and Britain ingratiating themselves to their creditors, the USA (which had as much empathy as an oven at Auschwitz; not a haphazard image: Auschwitz is what US policy brought). The ceasefire preserved German elites, and they had caused the war, it enabled the Dolchstosslegende, and incubated Nazism by preserving the very mindset which had brought WW1.The defeated German army retreated under its banners, as if it had won, and the survival of many hard core hyper nationalists soldiers and officers made the core of the Freikorps, and, within a couple of years, of the SA and the Nazi Party.
The stab-in-the-back legend explained the loss of the war, not the fact that Germany had been incredibly wrong to have started that enormous mayhem, for an incredibly long list of wrong reasons..
Retrospectively, France and Britain ought to have refused to become the financial slaves of the USA, and informed the decomposing German government and its melting armed forces that they were requesting surrender without conditions.
By then the USA had nearly two million soldiers in Europe (the Americans had brought the “Spanish” flu, and most of them had not approached the front). If they had refused to join France and Britain, the latter two would have an excellent ground to refuse US financial extortion. France in particular could argue that not one bullet made in France was ever paid by the US for the war of independence (most “US” bullets were French in the beginning of the WOI).
Marshal Foch, chief of all Allied forces, himself later said: “If they had not accepted the Armistice, three months later I would have been in Berlin.” The German army was retreating in panic up to 20 kilometers a day, was starved of food and ammunition, and the Kriegsmarine had rebelled…
***
But the right mentality was not proposed, the moment passed, and immediately thereafter, the US became the stealth master of Europe, with US giants like Henry Ford financing the Nazi Party and its little army (to the point that in 1923, Hitler had a gigantic portrait of Henry Ford behind his desk in Munich in the sumptuous Nazi headquarters which distributed for free Ford’s book, “The International Jew”).
Wall Street intervened three times in the 1920s alone, to reconfigure German finances (the first intervention was putting an acolyte of JP Morgan as German Central Banker, with the practical effect of refusing to help reconstruct what the Germans had just destroyed in France and Belgium…)
***
Nietzsche despised any mass mentality, not just the “German” Herd mentality. Nietzsche thought that any herd mentality would degrade thought—including modern egalitarianism. The reason for that is simple: if everybody thinks the same, there can only be that many ideas around, and no debate to foster more of them.
Thus mentalities that suppress individuality are brittle under war’s selective pressure…. Simply because they produce fewer ideas, especially prevent the evolution of superior ideas, and thus are more stupid as societies and as elites.
***
EUROPE’S BEATEN DOG MENTALITY:
Mentalities shaped by trauma become inflexible; trauma from 1914–1945 added to effective defeat of the victorious righteous ones, France and Britain, produced an allergy to force, accentuated by the fact that the USA and its barking dogs insisted upon the monstrosity of European “colonialism” (those fierce canids were mostly the French existentialists and pseudo-leftists many of whom started their career by playing for Stalin or his Nazi friends, Sartre and De Beauvoir being the poster critters of this sorry show).
So WW1 and WW2 turned into Pyrrhic victories for the European democracies: the more they won, the more enslaved to an ever wealthier USA they became… And a powerful dictatorship in Russia was also helped by US plutocrats: Baku Oil Fields, offshore…In 1940, the USA refused to help the French Republic fighting the Nazis to death. In 1941, the US flew to the rescue of the Kremlin tyranny… after the Kremlin spent half the year being allied to Hitler: does that sound familiar? One must conclude that Washington viewed Moscow as an ally and Paris as a rival…
Thus Europe got severely defeated in the Twentieth Century by its ex-colony, the USA. After charging the French for every single bullet, the U.S. financed post-WWI reconstruction on its terms (Dawes Plan changing reparations; later the Young plan); WWII Lend-Lease led to Bretton Woods dominance… The US delegation did not hesitate to substitute a document for another, turning around the resistance of the famous UK economist, Lord Keynes (presiding) that way….
The US Plutocratic Deep State was able to exploit Europe’s divisions… And this is still going on: one can see it in weapons’ procurement in 2025: Most Europeans prefer to buy US rather than say, French, and the reasons rolled out to justify that are generally vile lies (how could they explain that they have been bought?… They would go to prison…).
Europe has developed a deep-seated fear of power, a sort of allergy, caused by the horrors of the 20th century. So Europe tries to reduce power, its own power, as much as possible, a bit like a penitent of the Middle Ages, in a cold room open to icy winds, wearing a hair shirt, and embracing a religion the ancestors fought for 13 centuries. Verily, real morality is the opposite: only a power mentality will bring solutions, including to the various pollution crises, in particular the CO2 exponentiation and its incoming Jurassic climate. Militarily, refusing European power has just fabricated Putin, made China aggressive and now brought what looks increasingly like the collapse of civilization in (much of) Africa.
***
IF YOU WANT CIVILIZATION, FIGHT FOR IT:
As the millennia passed by, civilization has progressed. Not surprisingly, the most advanced mentalities evolved in the parts where there was the most traffic (Egypt, and the rest of the Middle East is at the junction of Africa and Eurasia). Eurasia had three poles of industrial and mental creation: China, India and Europe.
Europe contributed more than the rest, because the Celts had the best metallurgy, hence the best swords and ploughs. Christianism, the religion of the sheep, brought quasi immediate disaster, showing to the Frankish leaders what NOT to do.
In particular the divisiveness caused by Christian Fundamentalists contributed twice to the fall of North Africa (so-called “Donatists” and others had been viewed as “heretics”, so North Africa was in a state of religious war, and fell first to the Vandals and then to the Muslims)
The Franks thus reestablished a relaxed mentality in religious matters, and made military preparedness second to none (by fighting everything in sight, and themselves too). Result? Western Europe has been unconquered since the Fifth Century.
Thus it is war which created Europe. And Europe was extremely bellicose until the 20th century. The German tragedy 1853-1945 was a consequence of this bellicose mentality, but in a case of bellicose overstretched (it had happened before, in 843 CE during an horrendous civil war between the Franks; the result was a century of attempted invasions after that from Viking Magyar, etc…)
(Both France and Germany are drifting in 2025 towards bringing back the draft.)
The case of Asia is interesting: Buddhism once dominated India, for many generations. Meanwhile in China, Confucianism became all too often prominent. Buddhism has, in common with Christianism, a pacifism at all cost, turn the other cheek attitude. Confucianism, while allowing war against unjust rulers (as many Christian rulers did), is not very bellicose, either.
Arguably, the result was that India and China were repeatedly invaded. Not so much Korea, and not at all Japan. The latter two, like Europe, were ruled by ferocious military aristocracies whose effective task was the defense of the realm. In Vietnam, military leaders related to the Tran emperors formed private armies that repelled three Mongol invasions (while China succumbed to the first one).
***
US OPPORTUNISM EXPLOITED EUROPEAN SLUMBER:
Figuring out the greed, deception and back stabbing which enabled the US Deep Plutocratic State to take advantage of Europe is not anti-American… It’s just figuring out how blind and unaware Europe could be… Although that may be mostly the fruit from the eagerness of European elites to join their mightier US peers.
The USA moved into a European slumber which has other consequences, for example with European pseudo-ecology (“Paris Accord”), which make Europe ever more powerless (literally) and the all too real deindustrialization which it helps foster.
But then of course, mentalities have long discovered that they compete with each other. The plutocratic main mentality is to foster itself, …because plutocracy is unnatural to human psychobiology… To do that, the fundamental trick is to depower the Plebs, thus deprive it of employment.
***.
SI BIS REPETITA PLACENT: ONE MUST REPEAT THE FRANKS’ STRATEGY:
Propped by Bathilde’s outlawing of slavery, Western Europe led by a military aristocracy, went for developing science, technology and machines. By 1000 CE the Franks’ “Renovated Roman Empire OF Franks And Romans” had surpassed Rome in some important parameters with a great future.
While Europe repelled all invaders for 15 centuries, giving itself the smarts and powers to do so, India and China got repeatedly invaded, and their contributions to civilization, although formidable (the zero and perfecting Greek numerals for India, gunpowder for China) were episodic, and overall added for much less than Europe, to the point they adopted (most of) European civilization with a vengeance.
Humanity is at many crossroads. We have to choose the better mentalities, and that means the mentalities best able to organize human societies in the most powerful way… And who is the most powerful is determined by war. Thus, this is the age of war.
In particular, Europe must get out of its slumber, stop making the life of its citizens hell through mazes of taxes and ridiculous things, and throw out the defeatist mentality to re-embrace the bellicosity which made it so superior for so long (and yes that means colonizing the Solar System)..
One should rather not advocate bellicosity for bellicosity’s sake…as Putin does, as Caesare Borgia, Cardinal at 18, son of a Pope) or Adolf Hitler (a notoriously deranged imbecile) did (while singing the praises of Islam, a war religion in his opinion). But one must be aware that, as the correct mentalities need to be selected and survive, activities akin to war must be embraced (many felt that way when they gave their vote for Trump). Humanity has progressed towards greater intelligence because the mentalities fostering mental superiority won.

RIGHT MAKES MIGHT:
Reading the preceding essay, some will sneer that it is not captive of the “purely humanitarian” approach. But that mentality of identifying sheep and human, a species error, derives from an all-too restricted view of “humanism”, “humanitarian” and “humanity”. Yes, humans are carnivorous apes, not perpetually grazing sheep. Reality is where humanity comes from. Intelligence reads between the lines of reality as presented to us by our perception and culture. And the reality is that human intelligence rested, in several ways, on carnivority. Being a predator helped humans being smarter and meat provided more energy and thus time to plot the next strategy. It also means that the human views of “goodness” and happiness are stratified and multidimensional.
In the Nicomachean Ethics, Aristotle ultimately identifies the highest form of eudaimonia with a life of philosophical contemplation… Interestingly, Aristotle was extremely intimate and a mentor of the men who killed the Greek city-states civilization to replace it by dictatorships under the overall label of “Hellenistic Regimes”. So Aristotle was not a good man, and when Athens figured out that the great philosopher was the Macedonian tyranny mastermind, he had to escape arrest and flee for his life.
In other words, insisting that traditional “humanitarianism”, viewed as a form of sleep, an extreme moderation and contemplation, is all the good there is, may mean the exact opposite, accepting the peace and quiet provided by what nHahah Arendt called “the banality of evil”.
This essay is not a version of the “might makes right” philosophy. It is the exact opposite (the concepts are in common, but the logic is different). The Nazis believed that might make right… But they were not right, and that’s why they didn’t get the might. Although intellectual or moral superiority is ultimately irrelevant without the military power to enforce it or prevent its destruction, it is precisely the certainty of destruction which forces the superiority to become so superior that it is capable to steer superior beings to victory.
Only fools will make the category error of opposing a “Darwinian” selection of mentalities with “morality”… Because all “moralities” have been, themselves, derived that way!
In the world we presently have, most people take orders from higher ups or their institutions. However, for more than 5 million years of gathering humanity, it never could have engaged in that exact opposite of what made it evolve, otherwise we would never have graced the gloomy expanse of a brutal universe….In other words, the present organization of civilization, as any prior civilization, has been in violation of the fundamental metamorality of humanity: “Fais ce que voudras!” ([3]; Rabelais).
But then again, once one lives in cities, doing whatever one wants is not an option anymore. Tragic humanism was already evoked in Malraux’s La Condition Humaine (1933), in which struggle brings metamorphosis. Malraux treats conflict not as a regrettable accident but as the very medium through which consciousness becomes fully human.
Mentalities are how one lives, or, more exactly, how one survives.
At this point, in this age of means of global extermination, we want to find enough of a common mentality for most of us to survive (this is the concept hidden in the etymology of morality and ethos). It is crucial to realize that this will be obtained through conflict… So we shouldn’t shrink from confrontation: debate etymologically means: beating thoroughly.
Let’s debate!
Mentalities do not change through lectures, diplomacy, or moral suasion. Mentalities evolve into more refined and effective forms through the harshest possible feedback loops: humiliation, failure, catastrophe, and war. Europe’s, and the world’s, survival in the 21st century depends on relearning this lesson, that conflict can save, like nothing else can, as soon as possible.
***
Realism in its rawest form is how the universe works. Everybody sometimes dies, the most significant question we can ask is what for.
Delusion is fatal for what most people hold dearest: Whether it’s Aztec flower wars, Nazi race theory, or European pacifism. Hypocrisy can be very profitable: The U.S. world empire thrived by monetizing the conflicts of others, and recent European submission only accentuates this.
Reform is always violent: the French revolutionary wars lasted a quarter of a century and were a bloodbath, but they wrote what is now the world’s consensus on human rights. Mentalities rarely change without the “selection pressure” of war. [4]
Having challenged the all-too comfortable notion that “progress” happens through peaceful debate alone, I shall rest my case and let the bloody facts speak for themselves.

Economic “benefit”: GDP ripple from arms manufacturing, but net cost to U.S. taxpayers is real (~$18–50B in actual value transferred, per Economists for Ukraine). WWI/II parallels hold (e.g., Lend-Lease), but today it’s less “profiteering” than strategic Keynesianism—war as economic stimulus without U.S. boots on the ground.

[2] Clash of Mentalities Versus Clash Of Civilizations. Harvard professor Huntington’s core argument, in his 1996 book The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order, posits that post-Cold War conflicts would increasingly occur along cultural and civilizational lines rather than ideological or national ones. Huntington identified eight or nine major civilizations: Western, Latin American, Islamic, Sinic (Chinese), Hindu, Orthodox (Eastern Christian), Japanese, African, and possibly Buddhist. He argued that the West would clash most sharply against Islamic and Sinic civilizations.
Huntington confused civilizations and religions, etc. Instead what we see is a dividing line between dictatorships and democracies and a big divide on how information is manipulated, and how to implement progress, and what exactly progress consists of. For example, just within the 100 variants of Islam, some are maximally compatible with the greatest, fastest advancement of civilization while others are the exact opposite…
China has integrated much of “Socialism” originating somewhere between the Rhine and Paris with purely “capitalist” elements (long thought to be “Western”, but actually invented may be even earlier in China). So China incorporated elements of Western European mentality which thrived in 19th century Europe. That way China is much more European now, in the best possible way, than the thoroughly corrupted degenerates in Brussels.
China was never as isolated as it was long imagined to be: extensive contacts with the rest of Eurasia have thrived for the last 10,000 years. China was long and often under “Mandarin” control, an intellectual class of successful exam takers. But Korea next door (and often more than twice the area of all of Korea now) was ruled by a military aristocracy…which pretended to be a bit Buddhist, and a bit Taoist… Just like the one in Japan…

[4] In the 17th century, the bloodbath was in England, in a succession of wars and revolutions which established Parliamentary democracy (4% of England population killed, 200,000; up to 20% of Irish population killed in Cromwell’s campaigns). The parallel movement in France, La Fronde, failed because Anne d’Autriche, the Regent, had nerves of steely privilege, and because it was not violent enough (Westminster established the “New Model Army” of 20,000 men to defeat the king).
If the French Queen had been arrested and decapitated, similarly to what happened in England, history would have been very different; instead Anne replied haughtily to the president of the Paris Parliament:in 1648:“Monsieur, nous ne sommes pas en république!”.

CIVILIZATION, EVEN HUMANIZATION, WAS ALWAYS ABOUT COLONIZATION
Abstract: Humans have always not just survived, but evolved, for the better, by expanding into new environments. This expansion—call it colonization in the biological sense—is not a historical aberration but the defining feature of our genus… It’s our human genius.
It carried us from forests to savannahs, from Africa to every continent, often rescuing our lineage from population bottlenecks. If we truly care about the values we claim to cherish—reason, compassion, justice—then we must ensure they outlive the fragile round rock on which they first appeared. In this light, going to Mars is not only adventurous and long-term profitable; it is also a moral duty to the future of intelligence.
***
Going to Mars helps us define and refine the human condition in all its dimensions, including the most glorious and the most compassionate. Starting with introspection. Space, not just Earth, is our home.
Conquering space is all about what life does best, and humanity even better, colonization (it will also divert human aggressivity towards the stars instead of the neighbors). Species appeared and initially were thermophiliac, they lived in infernos they conquered (now those species, our most distant ancestors, tend to live in geysers and under volcanoes).
A species expands into new ecological niches, and learns to adapt and to exploit it. Life always does this, to the point that it transformed the atmosphere of the planet Earth from full of greenhouse methane to cool oxygen, causing “snowball Earths” episodes (during which glaciers reached the tropics at sea level, all over). Possibly a somewhat similar event occurred on Mars, and life would have made the planet unlivable faster. So colonization in the broad biological sense is what life always tends to do (this has nothing to do with domination of people). Research teams have made considerable progress in adapting some terrestrial species to martian conditions.I
***
Although life on Mars probably lasted at most a billion years, we may well be all Martians. Indeed, Mars cooled much faster than the Earth, when it still had a thick atmosphere, and may have seen the evolution of early life, while Earth was still a magma inferno.
Huge splashes from bolides, extremely frequent at the time, may have transported Martian life to Earth inside rocks (it’s called lithopanspermia): we know that is feasible, as the interior of a meteorite can stay cool enough to preserve organic materials… Meteorites from Mars have been found, and the maximum of their inner temperatures could be evaluated. In particular, the Martian meteorite ALH84001 was found to have taken ten million years to go from Mars to Earth, and it stayed cool inside.
So going back to Mars may well be going back to our distant roots. A memorial of sorts..

Naive critics often say the superficially obvious and they inflate with the wisdom of the self-satisfaction of displaying so much virtue : “We should fix Earth’s problems before going to Mars.” Critics of adventure have always said this, ignoring human nature.”We should fix problems in the Philipines before going to Polynesia.“
Problems on Earth exist because either we don’t know how to fix them, or because the powers that be are unwilling to fix them, and the two situations feed on each other. Going to Mars provides with the will and the necessity to fix chronic problems on Earth, for which not enough of motivation or technique has been found yet. Going to Mars provides the motivation and will force the technology that the present state of civilization has been unable to find.
Technological investment in space usually helps Earth: look at weather predictions, GPS, and all the indirect technological developments.. Risk management is not sequential: you don’t stop buying insurance (human life on other planets) because you still have debt (problems on Earth). Solving Earth’s problems and establishing off-world resilience are not mutually exclusive. Instead they are mutually helpful.
***
And then there is the Dark Side nobody wants to talk about, but states will always consider. The military supremacy argument: the world has been calm because the West had military technological supremacy. Now the MAD, Mutually Assured Destruction doctrine is going to be replaced progressively by space defenses. Going to space before tyrants build palaces on Mars, is how democracy survives. Besides, the West can’t let China (say) grab all the Helium 3 on the Moon, etc…

Granted, “colonialism” is supposed to be an evil concept. Violating the red Martian deserts with human footprints make the squeamish blemish. But that’s only a misreading of the human condition. Indeed, that attitude, that colonialism is evil, is a pinnacle of hypocrisy, as 99% of humanity can be traced to pretty recent colonizers. Yes, in the past there were many occurrences of genocidal, inhuman and atrocious colonizations. There have also been millions of people killed by knives too. And still we use knives all the time all around the planet… just as, in a sense, we use colonization: show me a country, I will show you a colonization. Tools can be used for harm or for good. Colonization, in the biological sense, is a tool not just of survival but also of evolution and even progress for the best.
The human species, even the human genus has been defined by its will to colonize: first out of the forest, then out of Africa, then to Australia, and the Americas, and all over Earth. Europe was colonized around 7,000 years ago by Middle Eastern farmers who arrived with their genetically improved crops.
That human expansion may well have saved the species as there seems to be evidence of near-mass extinction and evolutionary bottlenecks, during the existence of Homo Sapiens (the last couple of hundreds of thousands of years).
Thus no expansion without colonization, and no safety about evolution without colonization either.

It is good to have superior humanitarian values. But how sincere are we? If we are genuinely attached to superior human values we must want them to survive us. So going to Mars is not just an adventure, and probably an extremely profitable one, in the long run. Going to Mars is also a moral imperative .
To remain confined to one planet is to gamble everything humanity has ever achieved and values on the blind hand of fate when expanding through the Solar System is now possible, providing us with the overall vision and wisdom we need to make it so.

Mars four billion years ago, before losing its churning magma inside, thus its magnetic shield, hence its atmosphere and water… Human intervention with nearly existing technology could rebuild the shield, the atmosphere, the ocean, jack up the temperature and introduce advanced life…

IMPERIAL UNDERSTRETCH A THREAT, COFA A SOLUTION, REALITY A NECESSITY
The planet has shrunk. Anywhere is half an hour away as Weapons of Mass Destruction go. Mastering the neighborhood means mastering the planet, and it’s a question of survival: no more Putins! However Europe, which has sovereignty, sort of, over Denmark, has amply proven unable to defend itself, either economically or militarily. The mood in Europe is that Europe has to pay for the sin of having brought civilization to the world. Ironically, most of the world’s great powers subscribe instead to the old European mood, and model: expand and prosper. There are more than a dozen of these powers, great in various ways. All reject the present European mood of degrowth and amusement. So, if there is a vacuum, they will push in. China considers itself now an Arctic power, and Russia made it known that it owns the North Pole. This is a serious claim: it uses UNCLOS and the Lomonosov Ridge; it overlaps with Canadian and Danish claims. Russia is also armed to the teeth, including with brand new giant nuclear icebreakers…by comparison the USA has just one aging heavy icebreaker used mostly to serve the McMurdo basis in Antarctica. Russia has more than 50 heavy icebreakers. If anything, acquiring Greenland would encourage the US to acquire an icebreaker fleet: while the Arctic is quickly opening up to the appetite of ravenous great powers, much ice still has to be broken through.
Why Europe is degenerating is a complex subject beyond the scope of this essay. A factor is that, whenever European powers have to choose between the nuclear armed fully independent French republic and the USA, they nearly always prefer the USA. This is why the UK has US nuclear missiles (France makes its own) and why all European powers prefer to buy (ineffectual) US F35 jets, rather than superior French planes… So Denmark may protest a US power grab, but Denmark is, in many ways, already a US vassal state. If Europe has chosen the USA as the boss, it may as well go all the way. Denmark could become the US fifty-second state?
***
Most of the territory of the USA was annexed, or purchased, after treaties. So annexation is natural, all-American. (Some of the most ancient treaties were under duress and violated, true, but most of the area of the present USA was acquired with treaties that were neither violated nor signed under duress… Napoleon was clearly pro-American when he signed off gigantic Louisiana (2.1 million square kms; Napoleon wanted to retire to the US, Britain refused… So most of the US was acquired fair and square, not like the “Unequal Treaties” between China and Russia…)
Yes, it all belonged to somebody else, way back in the past… So what, Mr. and Ms. Woke-know-Nothing? Indeed, most of the world is like that, the fruit of annexation and colonization, not always pacific: The Bantu-speaking peoples began arriving in what is now South Africa during the Bantu expansion, a gradual migration and colonization of Bantu-speaking communities from West and Central Africa that began around 2000 BCE. Their arrival in South Africa specifically is generally dated to between 500 CE and 1000 CE. Bantus arrived with agriculture and steel technology, which was used to push away the native Khoisan people.
So annexing Greenland would be nothing new, but following a four century old American tradition. Greenland annexation could also be done advantageously for all parties concerned. For example the Greenland Natives have asked for a bigger airport in the capital Nuuk so decent sized planes full of tourists can land.
One argument has been that military spending by Canada (with a gigantic Arctic archipelago immediately west of Greenland with some of the largest islands on Earth with no permanent inhabitant) has been only 1.3% of GDP. Europe, similarly Denmark is at 1.4%, both in violation of the 2% NATO guideline. The US is at 3,4%, France and the UK are slightly above 2%. Meanwhile Putin’s minions claim a large part of the Arctic for Russia.
***
IMPERIAL UNDERSTRETCH:.
“Imperial overstretch is a well-known concept; a classic example would be the Ottoman empire, when it stretched from Vienna to Algiers, Arabia and Iraq. However, as the falls of Athens and Rome illustrate, and as Putin would tell you, “imperial understretch” is also a menace. Although “Representative Democracy” as promoted by the USA is not really democracy, the danger right now is that dictatorships extend their wings. For example, as France, led by a president who does not appreciate history, ignominiously retreats from Africa, Russian mercenaries and Chinese conspiracies take over the second largest continent.
WHY TO ANNEX GREENLAND?
Greenland is between America and Eurasia. It is a buffer zone. All the stuff thrown from Eurasia at America has to pass on or next to Greenland.
Thule Air Force base in on the north west corner of Greenland. The three large island archipelagoes to the right of Greenland above are all Russian. Russia pretends that it owns the North Pole too (in the center) because of a ridge underwater…
US citizen Robert Peary built a support station by a protected harbor at what would become Thule in north-west Greenland. The area had been void of inhabitants, but afterwards acquired a permanent population. But in 1917, the USA abandoned its claim to Greenland, in exchange for the purchase of the Virgin Islands from Denmark, which acquired control in 1937. However, in 1940, Denmark was occupied by the Nazis , and the US was back in force in Greenland, all the more that the Nazis established secret weather stations. In the 1960s, 10,000 US servicemen lived in Thule.
Greenland is the world’s largest island. Placed over the continental U.S., the island of Greenland would stretch from the southern tip of Texas to north of the Canadian border.
***
RIGHT NOW IT IS NOT TOO CLEAR WHO IS IN CHARGE OF GREENLAND.
Historically the Vikings, but then after 5 centuries they departed, as the Inuits appeared… before the Viking came back as Denmark. Denmark is sovereign, but not really, as Greenland and its 56,000 inhabitants are “autonomous”. Moreover, bizarrely, Greenland is NOT part of the EU anymore (although Denmark is). In a way it makes sense as Greenland is not part of Europe, as it is on the AMERICAN tectonic plate….
The US and NATO have a crucial military base in north-west Greenland, Thule, 1.200kms north of the Arctic circle. Thule serves for early warning of a missile attack on the USA coming from Eurasia, and is a VITAL asset of the US and NATO. No termination clause is known to exist. Grabbing Thule from the US would be viewed, rightly so, as an existential threat against the USA… Low flying missiles coming from hostile Eurasia can’t be detected easily from space.
After Trump evoked the lack of defense spending problem on part of Denmark and Canada, leaving the roof of the USA undefended, the next day, Denmark announced a gigantic military spending bill for Greenland. But how real is that? Denmark is small, a straw among giants. After Japan ordered Denmark to arrest Paul Watson, the savior of whales, Watson was put in a Greenland prison for 5 months, waiting for extradition and (de facto) execution in Japan (which wants to eat whales). After France got angry, Watson was released by Greenland, to France Whether it likes it or not, Denmark is under the French and US nuclear umbrellas. Not Japan’s (which has no nukes).

ONE HAS TO CONSIDER WHY THERE ARE EMPIRES.
“Empire” comes from “imperium”… a place where absolute orders are given. The Roman empire arose under the Roman Republic. It was an assembly of nations under the imperium of the Roman military led by its Senate. The nations kept their own laws, as long as they collaborated with Rome, especially in trade and strategy. Europe up to 1918, was made of several empires, but one othem, the newly constituted Germany, became lethally insane, and Europe got torn apart, with 40 million dead. The peace wass won by the USA, the core of the American empire. Western representative democracies form an empire, NATO is within it. The core of the empire is the US, because Europe has refused to become a full sovereign. More exactly, the core of the Representative Democratic empire is the US and its two parents, France and Great Britain: the latter two have 8 strategic nuclear subs, and the US has 14… The rest of Europe is under the Franco-UK-US (FRUKUS?) nuclear umbrella (whether they admit it or not). FRUKUS enrages Putin,as FRUKUS can terminate Russia in twenty minutes, using just ten percent of its strategic arsenal, so Putin can’t invade all that he wants to invade, and Xi can’t plant the Chinese flag all around the South China sea, recovering old possessions such as Vietnam… Or why not Indonesia? Kublai Khan sent a fleet with approximately 30,000 soldiers, a significant military operation, helping Raden Wijaya establish the Majapahit Empire, covering most of present-day Indonesia and Malaysia by 1293 CE..
This is only part of Thule Air Force base. The important giant radars are twenty kilometers, or more, away. The runway is more than three kilometers long with around ten flights a day. The installation is crucial, and if a power tried to seize it, the US would certainly grab it back. The closest village is 120 kilometers away…
LOSING CONTROL OF GREENLAND WOULD BE WORSE FOR THE USA THAN ANYTHING HITLER COULD HAVE DONE: Because Greenland at this point is the shield above the heart of the USA.
***
AMERICAN IMPERIUM SAVES LIVES WORLDWIDE, BUT IT IS EXPENSIVE:
The core reason and nature of an empire is military: a large empire can afford a large army which then can protect a large population doing great things, such as great agriculture, giant hydraulic works, nuclear plants or landing on the Moon. The US territory is presently around ten million square kilometers, most of them arable, with a population of only 350 million… Compare with mountainous China, with roughly only half of the arable area of the US and four times the population… Moreover, the USA has an enormous web of allies… its friends. Basically the USA controls the planet already… softly.
So, with no Lebensraum, no need to expand its vital space, the USA has no interest to engage in war (the same reasoning doesn’t apply to Russia; as Russia acquired a lot of its territory by war with peers… and the peers are resentful, and Russia knows it…)
Maintaining the Pax Americana, since 1945, has been incredibly expensive, but worth it, not just for Americans, but also for most of the world in general: a modern world total war would kill billions of people. Pax American prevented that. While the US imperium (where the US commands) has grown, France and the UK have become increasingly appendages and, so doing, also lost individual relative wealth, influence, and agency. Even worse for the rest of Europe.
In other words, the world is ordered by an imperial US system, and it works. Sort of, so far..But the USA and all those vested in the present imperium (that includes all of Europe) have interest that the imperium be economically optimized: Europe seem to have neither the will nor the ways to take care and exploit Greenland, so it should get out of the way, and let the boss (the US) handle it. Surely Europe would not want to fight Russian mercenaries in Nuuk?
***
ANGER AGAINST US CONTROL WHY TRYING TO DUPLICATE IT:
The USA imposes a representative democracy system, which is plutocracy friendly, a sort of double control, squeezed between billionaires and “representatives”. Generally the plutocracy is not blatant, but with 12 billionaires in the Trump cabinet, the cover has been blown…
In any case, as the technological pie has been spread out worldwide, many demographic and land powers are now plain powerful… They are trying to leverage their power by duplicating the Euro-American imperial system. For example Iran tried to control much of the Middle East, all the way to the Red Sea… While helping the fellow dictator in the north extend his own empire (as of 2024, roughly 10,000 powerful Iranian drones have been used against Ukraine…).
Accordingly other great powers, notably Russia, and China, but also second rate but determined actors, such as Iran, North Korea, have tried to use what they consider to be similar methods, to insure imperiums of their own. Seeing what happened to dictatorships in Serbia, Iraq, Libya, and now Syria motivates them even more (Putin whined about Serbia in December 2024, claiming the NATO attack against Serbia was illegal; he forgot to mention that originally it is the French, under UN mandate, who fired on the Serbian forces of Milosevic and his allies… Ultimately the dictator Milosevic was arrested by his own people and sent to La Hague…)

SIZE MATTERS, CONSIDER RUSSIA:
Putin boasted (December 2024) that, counted in Price Purchase Parity, Russian PPP is several times Britain’s. The observation has merits, and greatly depends upon Russia’s immense physical resources. Putin and his agents, including pseudo-ecologists, European oil majors, and at least two German Chancellors (Schroder and Merkel) made it so that Europe became dependent upon Russia’s oil and gas.
Russia: Total Area: ~17,098,246 km². Largest Country in the World: Spanning 11 time zones, it covers about 11% of Earth’s total landmass, and Russia, under Putin, claims much of the Arctic Ocean
United Kingdom (UK): Total Area: ~243,610 km². Includes England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
Relative Size: Russia is approximately 70 times larger than the UK in terms of land area.
Despite its smaller physical size, the UK’s population (~67 million) is half that of Russia’s (~146 million), demonstrating the vast sparsity of Russia’s population distribution.
Territories Gained by Russia in 1858-60, after China lost wars against France and Britain (the Opium Wars): Signed after the Second Opium War, when British and French forces had captured Beijing, forcing China into submission.
Approximately 1.5 million km², including: Modern-day Primorsky Krai. Parts of Khabarovsk Krai.
Amur Oblast. Sakhalin Island (partial claims settled with Japan later).
Historical Context:
Unequal Treaties: These agreements are often referred to as “unequal treaties” in Chinese history, as they were signed under duress, threats of military action after skirmishes with Cossacks, when China was militarily and politically weakened.
Geopolitical Impact: These acquisitions gave Russia critical access to the Pacific Ocean and expanded its influence in Asia.
Similarly and at the same time Russia expanded into Ukraine, Central Asia and the Caucasus region, in long, extended, often extremely brutal military campaigns some of which lasted centuries [1], followed by ferocious colonization. This caused long term resentment, the repression of which explains much of Putin’s behavior and his support by the Russian public (been there, seen tha, and it works…) [

Am I advocating that the USA does what Russia did? It may look so, but that’s only superficial. Neither Greenlanders nor Danes, nor Europeans are hostile to the USA. The religion, the system, even the language (everybody speaks English). Moreover Europeans and Greenland, depend upon the US military for protection. So it is a matter of doing what makes the protection better.
And definitively dissuade bad actors to keep on going with their bad, invasive and tyrannical ways.
Annexation would be easy: conduct a self-determination-US annexation or COFA, Compact Of Free Association, referendum, after proposing one million dollars to all the 44,000 voters of Greenland, put in an escrow account, available if the annexation passed. That would cost 44 billion dollars (soon reimbursed from leases to mine operators). Europe, somewhat derelict in its protection and development of Greenland, would not be entitled to compensation (was France compensated for surrendering Algeria? My family, born there, certainly was not!)

[1]: The US has grown through a succession of massive annexations
The United States began as thirteen British colonies along the Atlantic coast, declaring independence in 1776. The colonies themselves were the result of annexations of Indian territories.
2. The Treaty of Paris (1783) ended the American Revolutionary War.
The U.S. gained territory east of the Mississippi River, excluding Florida and British Canada. The American Natives were not consulted, they had been defeated in war. A problem leading to Independence of the US had been Britain protecting American Native territories (which were protected by France before France’s defeat in 1763).
3. Louisiana Purchase (1803): purchased from France under President Thomas Jefferson. Cost: $15 million. Area Added: ~828,000 square miles (2.14 million km²), doubling the size of the U.S.
4. Florida Acquisition (1819): Adams-Onís Treaty with Spain. The U.S. gained Florida and clarified borders with Spanish territories.
5. Annexation of the Republic of Texas (1845): Texas declared independence from Mexico in 1836 and was annexed by the U.S. in 1845. This led to tensions with Mexico and contributed to the Mexican-American War.
6. Oregon Country (1846): Resolved by treaty with Britain. Established the U.S.-Canada border at the 49th parallel in the Pacific Northwest.
7. Mexican Cession (1848): Following the Mexican-American War, the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo ceded a vast area to the U.S. Territory Gained: Modern-day California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, and parts of Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming.
8. Gadsden Purchase (1854): Purchased from Mexico for $10 million. Added southern parts of present-day Arizona and New Mexico to facilitate railroad construction.
9. Alaska Purchase (1867): “Seward’s folly“. Purchased from Russia for $7.2 million. This acquisition added vast natural resources.
10. Annexation of Hawaii (1898): US tycoons, angry to pay custom duties to sell in the USA, overthrew the Hawaiian monarchy and annexed the islands as a U.S. territory. Dastardly as Hawai’i had been a fully recognized country. Became a state in 1959.
11. Spanish-American War Acquisitions (1898): Treaty of Paris ceded Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Philippines to the U.S. Cuba became a U.S. protectorate (though not annexed).
12. Other Pacific and Caribbean Acquisitions: American Samoa (1900): Acquired through treaties with Germany and Britain. Virgin Islands (1917): Purchased from DENMARK (partly in exchange for recognizing Danish sovereignty over Greenland; Denmark made it to Thule by 1937… But as Denmark fell and Nazis prowled, the US was back in formal control within three years…).

Scientific studies have shown that engagement with “influencers” goes up with the frequency of the influencers’ publications. It is the attraction of novelty reduced to its simplest expression: something is interesting, just because it is happening (the fascination with novelty is an old neurological adaptation from living in the wilds where the smallest sound or flickering of light may mean a meal, or becoming one).
Now it is easier to create junk and mental trash rather than deeply innovative thoughts and feelings. So if an influencer wants a greater following, hence more advertising dollars, and more income, the influencer needs to have the gift of gab, the gift of producing much about nothing much. Another picture of, or angle on, Kim Kardashian’s enhanced butt will do just fine.
Thus the influence of mental trash grows ever more in a cultural regime dominated ever more by ever more popular influencers. The more popular the influencer, the more trashy. The more trashy, the more frequency productive, and thus the more popular.
It all sounds like a recipe for civilization on the road to oblivion...
Notice that, in the age of greatest antiquity, there were mandatory influencers, for example Homer. Everybody who was somebody knew Homer extremely well. That created a universal education into psychological refinement of sorts. Mandatory education up to various levels was imposed by Rome and pursued in the European Middle Ages, with the same language (Latin) and terminology… after the interruption of Christian terror against logic and knowledge. The idea of mandatory education was to ensure a high enough general culture to have a prosperous republic.
Reciprocally, when tyrants impose themselves, discarding the republic, they mold the educational system to make the population into obedient robots, and religion is best for that. Nazism was a kind of religion founded around the idea of race as the most important factor in civilization and survival. That could happen only with a population which had been fed militaristic, hyper nationalist and racist propaganda for generations (Prussia, unifier of Germany in 1871, had been enforcing racism against Slavs and Jews for two centuries…).
Anti-intellectual propaganda can work in depth, for centuries, even millennia… The only significant rebellion in the Eastern Roman empire, the Nikka Riots (January 532 CE), happened in the largest sport arena. Why a sport arena? Because by then it was safe to exhibit animal spirits and opinion, only in the context of sports (chariot races).
Being told that the wrong book of the year at home meant death, the entire Roman population then lost interest in civilization. A combination of censorship and influencership threatens to do the same. Now, as humanity confronts the greatest crisis ever, the highest possible general culture is the optimal route to survival. However the “Influencer Disease” threatens to overwhelm education: young people watch ever more the more popular influencers, and to make themselves wealthier, the latter make their utterances more frequent, thus trashier, and the vicious spiral down into cultural retardation keeps plunging us into the abyss…

Musk wants to put a million people on Mars for a self-sustaining colony… to insure the survival of consciousness, he says… (I did not introduce Musk to my dog, who is fully conscious.)
Lord Rees, an astrophysics Nobel, calls colonizing Mars to insure the survival of consciousness a “dangerous illusion”.
With the tech SpaceX intends to have in a few years, a trip to Mars is imaginable. Sustainable colonization, no…. be it only because an ultra powerful compact energy source is needed.
***
An example is making a magnetic field sheltering Mars from the radiation, Solar Wind, Mass Coronal Ejections, and Cosmic Rays… It’s feasible with 3,000 kilometer long superconducting wires… They would need to be powered. However, the energy of Earth’s magnetic field is millions of times the energy of Hiroshima! So a new energy source is needed. Thermonuclear fusion is the obvious candidate… But maybe zero point energy could be made to work (I have sketched a way to do so)..
***
The problems humanity face right now are of two types:
Problems we don’t solve because our leaders don’t want to solve them (inequality, nuclear weapons, etc.)
Problems we can’t solve from lack of technology (various ecological crises, including the fossil fuel crisis)
The two classes of problems are entangled, as the inequity, unfair human leadership uses 2) to enable 1). For example the very serious climate crisis-energy quandary has been understood poorly and treated inappropriately… this enables plutocracy to reign by the distraction climate brings, just as MAD, Mutually Assured Destruction does…
Attempting Mars colonization forces technological advances, because without these advances it will not happen. So if engaging in Mars colonization, deliberately not researching the needed new tech is not an option, nor is using its absence a way to distract people from social change.
***
Hence to solve problems on Earth one needs first to be willing to take the Mars exam. Reciprocally, refusing to pass the Mars exam means one is not serious at researching the needed tech advances to mitigate the deterioration of Earth’s biosphere and Earth’s civilization.
***
Hence to solve problems on Earth one needs first to pass the Mars exam.Reciprocally, refusing to pass the Mars exam means one is not serious at researching the needed tech advances… On Earth. In other words, going to Mars forces humanity into the longtermism needed to make Earth’s biosphere survive..
Certainly a new, much cleaner and powerful energy source has to be found and deployed. Without it, terraforming Mars will not happen.
***
Some are sure to laugh and point out that it’s the world’s wealthiest persons (Musk, Bezos) who want to go to Mars, and thus going there would reinforce the world’s plutocratic order… Well, not at all, Musk and Bezos are themselves fringes of the plutocratic order. Most billionaires are more like France’s Arnaut, busy getting one billion Euros in help from the government for a company he bought for 44 millions… In other words, the wealth class is mostly made of corruptocrats and heirs who want ever more power… rather than giving humanity new powers (as many entrepreneurs were during the Gilded Age/Belle Epoque, around 1900… Creating colonies on Mars would force a delegation of powers to the colonists, just as happened to several European colonies (but not the French ones, from too much centralization!)

Science is not the main objective of colonizing Mars. Instead, the main objective is to confront difficult problems we would not otherwise confront.

MAKE THE US PATENT OFFICE FAIR TO THE INNOVATION FORCE, SMALL INVENTORS. SWITCH TO AI, FOR GREATER EFFICIENCY, FAIRNESS, AND ECONOMY:
Property owned by free individuals is the essence of democracy. Because without property, there is no power and Demos-Kratia means People-Power.
Intellectual Property is now the strongest form of property as the power of the intellect has never been greater. IP enables innovation, and innovation not only makes life much better every day, but innovation saves lives, and is the only hope for civilization to survive.
In recent decades foreign powers (such as the Chinese dictatorship) and tech giants have monopolized the mental world with practices that one must make unlawful to avoid civilizational collapse.
IP law must foster innovation and prevent monopolistic practices, which can stifle competition. Innovation monopoly is the worst sort of monopoly and a mark of tyranny.
As it is the Patent System is onerous and cumbersome for individual investors and small companies… which constitute most of the INNOVATION FORCE. So the Patent System, as it is, kills innovation. Tech giants have captured the US Patent Office, the USPTO, to make it so. The present head of the USPTO, a creature of the tech giants, Kathy Vidal, did her best to have the USPTO claim that all software is obvious, so small inventors could not be protected by the giant tech monopolies. (Having accomplished her demolition work for her past and future tech giant employer, Vidal offered her resignation before Trump’s restoration.)
For the tech giants the costs of onerous USPTO procedures are nothing… but they kill small innovators. The costs and delays the USPTO generates are great enablers of tech monopolies, and, indirectly, as we will see, foreign powers .
Changing the systems is feasible. As it is, Patent Agents have an interest to jack up the costs and delays: it promotes their careers while generating fees, a form of tax, for the government. A fairer and quasi-instantaneous system would be to replace many of those by Artifical Intelligence. The result would level the fields for small innovators, the bulk of the innovation force, and will accelerate innovation enormously, and would incentivize more individuals and small companies to enter the innovation force.
Another advantage is that, when some company in China (say) copies a US patent, and makes a product accordingly, said product could be blocked as an import. But only then. To be blocked, the patent needs to be given to start with. In the system as it is, the innovation is simply stolen by tech giants, then duplicated by cheaper overseas giants and finally imported, bringing a further deficit of the balance of payments and weakening the US innovation force.
***
Here are some points to consider:
US PATENT OFFICE REFORM:
Patent Reforms: This is the low hanging fruit reform which could be made extremely fast and thoroughly… And with a huge impact. It is a matter of decrees. Patents, while essential for encouraging innovation, have been used systematically by tech giants to suppress competition. Large firms often stockpile patents, creating “patent thickets” that make it nearly impossible for smaller innovators to enter the market.
Patent examiners work under quota-based systems, where they are evaluated on the number of applications they process and how efficiently they complete reviews. This system is ostensibly intended to improve productivity but most often leads to quick rejections or narrow interpretations of applications, which increase the chances of an applicant, typically poor and indebted, having to pay for additional amendments or appeals.
Agents continually force applicants to multiply the claims and then the poor individual applicants have to pay for these multiplications. They often end up broke and unable to finish the patenting process.
Revisiting patent laws to prevent patent hoarding or limit overly broad patents could help level the playing field for smaller tech companies. Because what happens is the single, solitary genius with little money cannot afford to appeal adverse patent decisions for the USPTO but tech monopolies can.
Rebalance IP Laws to Encourage Competition AndData as IP: Tech giants hold vast amounts of consumer data, which serves as a de facto monopoly on information, and is an immense source of profits. New IP frameworks for data ownership and portability could help ensure that consumers own their data and can transfer it between platforms, preventing monopolistic data control by a few firms. People should be allowed to own themselves.
***
RESTORE The MIGHT Of The SMALL INVENTOR AGAINST The TECH GIANTS:
Big ideas always come from the solitary genius. But the US Supreme Court is unaware of that and instead reveres the giants for reasons best left unsaid if one wants to be taken seriously at this point (consider Scaglia).
The U.S. Supreme Court issued a significant intellectual property decision in 2006 that had implications for small inventors. In the case of eBay Inc. v. MercExchange, L.L.C., the Court ruled against automatically granting permanent injunctions in patent infringement cases, which was previously a common outcome for patent holders who won such cases.
Before eBay v. MercExchange, a prevailing patent owner could often obtain a permanent injunction that stopped an infringer from using their patented invention. For small inventors, this was a powerful tool, as it could compel larger companies to either stop infringing or negotiate a license.
The Supreme Court, however, decided that an automatic injunction was not warranted in every case of patent infringement. Instead, it required courts to apply a four-factor test before granting an injunction:
Whether the plaintiff has suffered irreparable injury.
Whether remedies available at law (e.g., monetary damages) are inadequate.
Whether considering the balance of hardships between the plaintiff and defendant favors an injunction.
Whether the public interest would be served by issuing an injunction.
This ruling impacted small inventors by making it more challenging for them to leverage their patents against larger companies. Since monetary damages alone may not fully benefit smaller inventors, they often relied on the threat of an injunction to negotiate settlements. The eBay decision weakened this leverage, which some argued favored larger corporations and made it harder for small inventors to protect their innovations effectively.
The ruling was also grossly biased and perfidious: Just look at point #1. How do you prove you suffered “irreparable injury” when all that happened is that the small inventor missed out on well-deserved good income? How do you prove injury when all you did was to make billionaires wealthier while you can’t afford to go to the doctor, buy groceries, let alone a house?
The US Congress should write a law restoring the notion of patent in full: a patent is a monopoly given by the state to encourage inventions by small inventors. Powers that be, such as billionaires and tech giants need patents much less, if at all: trade secrets can do fine.
While Congress cannot simply declare that Supreme Court decision “wrong” and overrule it outright, the US Congress does have tools to assert that depriving small inventors of their livelihood is “IRREPARABLE INJURY”.
***
Eliminate IP-Based Barriers to Entry:
Preventing Abuse of Copyrights and Trademarks: Large tech firms sometimes use copyright and trademark law to limit competitors or control downstream innovation. For example, they may claim that certain types of software or formats are proprietary to restrict access or compatibility with other products. Ensuring that copyrights and trademarks do not cover things like interoperability standards could allow smaller companies to innovate without being unfairly blocked by large competitors.
Encourage Open-Source and Interoperability Standards: Promoting open-source software and requiring interoperability standards in specific tech sectors could prevent tech monopolies from locking consumers into their ecosystems, as has occurred with app stores, devices, and operating systems. Enforcing open standards and making key technologies accessible to competitors would encourage innovation and broaden consumer choice.
Enhance Antitrust Enforcement with an IP Focus:
Merger and Acquisition Scrutiny: Tech giants often acquire smaller companies for their IP those small companies created. They can extinguish or limit innovation by absorbing competitive threats. Strengthening antitrust laws to prevent innovation killing mergers and acquisitions that are primarily IP-focused could prevent tech giants from monopolizing IP power through acquisition abuse.
Preventing Anti-Competitive Licensing Practices: Some tech giants use IP licensing to control how competitors or collaborators can use their technology. Enforcing restrictions on exclusive or restrictive IP licenses, particularly in cases where a company has dominant market power, could ensure that IP is not used to restrict competition.
4. International Cooperation on IP Standards
Align with Allies on Global IP Standards: Given the global nature of technology, working with international allies to standardize certain IP regulations could help prevent monopolistic practices across borders. This could include agreements to prevent data monopolies or patent thickets that block competition internationally.
Address IP Theft While Avoiding Overreach: IP theft by foreign entities has been a point of contention, especially in U.S.-China relations. Address this issue without excessive overreach (which could lead to monopolistic protections at home). As I explained, strengthening protections against IP theft may be as simple as making sure that innovators get fast, easy and cheap US patent protection, giving all the reason one needs to strike cheaters, when the want to sell to the world’s largest market (getting all the Americas, Europe, and Japan to cooperate should be easy)..
5. Empower Consumers Through IP Law
Support Consumer Data Ownership: Providing consumers with more rights over their personal data would reduce the monopolistic power of data-heavy companies and give new firms a chance to enter the market. By rethinking IP laws to focus on consumer rights in the digital age, tech monopolies could face increased competition.
Data Portability: Implementing robust data portability laws would enable users to transfer their data across platforms easily, breaking the hold of big tech companies on consumer data. This would also encourage competition, as smaller companies could compete on product quality rather than just data.
Conclusion:
Making patents easier and cheaper for inventors to obtain and enforce is most crucial… and should be easiest to implement (by executive orders).
Balancing IP law to both protect innovation and limit anti-competitive practices is also crucial in addressing tech monopolies and accelerating innovation. Recent scientific studies show that humanity is in a desperate race between innovation and dissolution.
Emphasizing patent reform by making the USPTO efficient thanks to AI lowered costs, simpler, fairer procedures, should be easy, because the USPTO is just a part of the US government, a part of the Deep State which has been captured completely by the Silicon Valley monopolies (Kathy Vidal, who gutted software innovation, was long an Apple employee married to another Apple honcho).
Interoperability, IP-based antitrust scrutiny, and consumer empowerment could foster a fairer market, one where tech giants cannot leverage IP solely to dominate and restrict competition by behaving like feudal lords with their private armies (of lawyers).
By focusing on these areas, Trump’s platform could advocate for reforms that protect both American innovation and fair market competition, potentially resonating with consumers and smaller businesses alike… while saving civilization…
Because, make no mistake, the clock is ticking for this civilization, or humanity in general, and only new engineering from new ideas will insure a bright future that will enable us to escape potential hell…
In 1829, a French artist and designer named Louis Jacques Mande Daguerre struck a partnership with fellow inventor Joseph-Nicephore Niépce to develop a method to permanently capture the fleeting images visible in a camera obscura (his first picture, from his window was in 1816, but it got too dark later…) Niépce’s father in law sold his own castle to finance the inventions of his son in law…. In particular Niépce develops the « pyréolophore » an early internal combustion engine which three generations later would be finalized by the Franco-German Diesel… His brother tries to sell the engine in Britain, over many years, while the family takes enormous debts. Exhausted by the efforts and lack of success, he becomes sick and then insane.
This illustrates well the stress inventors can go through. The success of an Elon Musk may seem relatively easy… But Musk profited from enormous governmental help, both with Tesla and SpaceX (although he took huge risks). The idea of patents is a help from the government, by giving monopolies to small inventors to encourage the inventive process, throughout society. Most inventions arise from the solitary mindof the small inventor, not from tech giants. This is what the US Supreme Court does not understand.
Recognizing the enormous potential of this invention, the French government made a deal with Daguerre, acquiring the rights to the process in exchange for lifetime pensions for both Daguerre and Niépce’s son. Then the French government gave it all away. On 3 July 1839, the great physicist Arago (from Arago’s dot, proof of the wavy nature of light…) presented the invention of photography at the National Assembly of France for “l’univers entier” (the entire universe). August 19th, 1839, the details of the new photographic process were presented to the entire planetary public as a gift to the world from France…. The real inventor is Nicéphore Niépce (not Daguerre)…
Powers that be are hungry for the status quo ante, how things are, that they exploit, while fearing any serious disruption. Inventors are hungry for change and the future. Without the latter, civilization will collapse, and soon. So change the USPTO, use AI…

The Deep State is made of all the elite structures and, or families who steer the state. For example, media owners. They all know each other, they all together-breathe (con-spire), they continually meet in forums such as the World Economic Forum (“Davos”), etc… They are strong, they are united, they enjoy their world… And thus they have had a problem punishing their own vilain canard, Vladimir Putin…. Business used to be so good in Russia…
Some sort of Deep State must organize any civilization. However what one can in theory avoid is a deep state controlled by an elite.
Conversely, by having an elite control the state, as this is unjust and human beings hate injustice ethologically speaking (“instinctively”), the elite can stay in power only by exponentiating its evil means: PLUTO-KRATIA.
In the European Middle Ages, the Deep State had a worthy institutional part, a multitude of more or less large or tiny states, traditional ways and means (such as guilds and the educational systems) and the underlying Roman law. And then there was another part of the Deep State, the perverse Feudal Order, and its accomplice in mass murdering crime, the Catholic church.
The DEEP ELITE STATE, DES,is the part of the Deep State where a (typically hereditary) elite controls the Deep State. China, India, and imperial Rome starting with Augustus are most tyrannical examples of DES.
Europe, a polycracy, overall, was less so, hence its relative success.
When a Deep Elite State grows in control, the civilization subjugated by it becomes sclerotic, at best. Sclerosis in the present circumstances, is a disaster for all concerned, the biosphere, humanity, species, biological homeostasis, etc.
For more than a century, the Elite Deep State, in Europe or in the USA has been in charge, and not just of Europe and the USA, but also of the entire planet. And that did a terrible job, preferring all along conflict to conflict resolution. The obvious perversity was the support US plutocracy gave to fascist regimes in Germany, Italy, and Japan, helping to usher world wars that the US Deep State would later profit from (if the USA had helped France and Britain in a timely manner it would not have been as profitable to the US Deep State…by a very long shot…)
***
An example of the Deep State at work was the election of John Kennedy as president. It seems that Nixon actually won, but the Mafia rigged the vote. (I am giving that as an example. Although the election of JFK was probably illegal, I much prefer him to Nixon; JFK pushed for civil rights which were finalized in votes under LBJ; I approve of that and even more of the Moon program… It is pretty obvious Nixon would not have done either; actually Nixon killed the Moon landings… And any furthering of the Saturn program…)
LBJ took care of rigging the votes in Texas. In Illinois the situation became catastrophic for Kennedy as the night progressed. 93 counties out of 102 in Illinois were going to Nixon. At 2 am, EDT, Kennedy called Mayor Daley of Chicago. Daley reassured JFK:”With a bit of luck and the help of some close friends, you will win Illinois”.Daley held off the counting of Cook County, until the Mafia boys knew exactly how many votes were needed. Finally by 5am the fix was in: Kennedy won Illinois by 8858 votes, out of a total vote of 4,657,394 …thus JFK was ahead by 0,19 %… And won the presidency… Illinois had 27 electoral votes. No doubt Nixon knew all of this, and how JFK was assassinated for crossing the Mafia over Cuba…(That may explain why he tried to play bandit all by himself at Watergate…)
A more recent example is some of the exploit of the Deep State, “Democratic” sauce: While the figurehead of the Deep State, Clinton, was amusing himself with the anatomy of student bimbos, the question of nuclear weapons, worldwide, was left unaddressed, except for removing from Ukraine 5,000 nuclear weapons… Clinton was just a greedy child with limited understanding of civilization… But the collective intelligence of the US Deep State was engaged: nuclear war is the ultimate peril, and, when it could be treated, the US Deep State, guided by luminaries such as Joe Biden, obsessed with invading Iraq..
So was Obama, playing ignorant buffoon, who, in the end, encouraged his friend “Vladimir” [Putin] to keep on invading countries, while giving up to 150 billion dollars to Iran, in exchange for nebulous nuclear reassurances, and while officially making healthcare more expensive for 95% of US citizens (I kid you not, this was the official aim of “Obamacare”). Those 150 billion in cash made it possible for Iran to purchase for itself a nuclear weapon program.
These three (scandalous) facts were the most important of Obama’s 8 years presidency. Thanks to Deep State propaganda this disastrous outcome is presented as a success of rationality for the ages… simply because Obama turned any question into irrelevant questions with an aura of smart gravitas… He was well trained in that monkey trick..
The fact remains that, when the US Deep State could have pushed for deep nuclear disarmament, not only it didn’t even try, but the idea didn’t even surface as a possibility (thousands of warhead, including Soviet warheads, were converted into nuclear fuel, and that was good, because there were 50,000 or so around, but I am talking about near complete eradication of nukes (one needs to keep a few to destroy or push away a celestial bolide….) .
Another Deep State exploit was the work mostly of Joe Biden and GW Bush: the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, with no plausible long term effect that could be anticipated, but for the disfigurement of these countries… Many members of the US plutocracy profited immensely of those wars, which were conducted not so much as to win, but rather to enrich weapon firms and the fossil fuel industry. Examples of double perpetrators were the Cheneys… who were among the top warmongers in these wars and direct profiters of the rise in the price of oil… Now they are among the main opponents to Trump… who opposed the invasion of Iraq in 2003…
Kamala Harris went on SNL, Saturday Night Live, two days before the election, in complete violation of electoral rules. That Saturday’s episode also featured Tim Kaine, a senator for Virginia who was Hillary Clinton’s 2016 running mate, performing in a skit where a contestant could not recall who Kaine was. The musical guest, Chappell Roan, announced in September that she is voting for Harris… nevermind that Harris supports Israel, defined as a nation of “colonizers” by the tiny Tik Tok mind of Roan.
NBC makes SNL. NBC is owned by Comcast. Comcast’s largest and controlling shareholder is Brian L. Roberts, who serves as Comcast’s chairman and CEO. Roberts inherited the company from his father, Ralph Roberts. Mutual funds and retirement funds are massive shareholders, but they follow the lead of the controlling plutocrat.
A US government communications regulator has claimed that Vice-President Kamala Harris’s surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live violates “equal time” rules that govern political programming.
Brendan Carr, a commissioner with the federal communications commission (FCC), claimed on X that Harris’s appearance on the show “is a clear and blatant effort to evade the FCC’s Equal Time rule”. Carr made the claim in response to an Associated Press alert to Harris being on the show that night.
“The purpose of the rule is to avoid exactly this type of biased and partisan conduct – a licensed broadcaster using the public airwaves to exert its influence for one candidate on the eve of an election. Unless the broadcaster offered Equal Time to other qualifying campaigns,” said Carr, who was nominated by both Trump and Biden and confirmed unanimously by the Senate three times.
FCC guidelines state: “Equal opportunities generally means providing comparable time and placement to opposing candidates….”
Mr. Roberts is an example of an element of the US Deep State. A few thousands like him is all it takes…
Most of the powers that are pulling the strings in the major “democracies” constitute the Deep State, and what they hate in Trump is simply that they do not control him, and they fear that the more Trump is around, the greater the probability it will be revealed everything, namely that the biggest conspiracy theory of it all is not even in the public space.
The symbolism of breaking the law deliberately, for all to see, with blatant media bias, is ominous. This is the paradox of the Democratic Party: by defining itself as the holder of civilization. Biden said “it is time to put Trump in the bulls-eye”… 4 days before he got shot…Then Biden called Trump supporters “garbage” and now: “These are the kind of guys you’d like to smack in the ass”
Why all the anger? Twentieth Century plutocrats set up a worldwide system they called “globalization”, or “free trade”, “world economic forum”… It was pretty much the exact analogue to the system set up by the Roman plutocracy around the Mediterranean, two millennia ago. World reach enabled the plutocrats and their servants to exploit countries around the world, by making local deals with local potentates, while mitigating their own taxes, and becoming such influencers that the official elected leaders are generally little more than figureheads… That Trump risk destroying that system renders them mad. Worse: the fool wants to make nations great again by reducing the global plutocratic activity and striking it with taxes.
Europe pushed the absurdity to the point of financing the establsihment of European companies on the other side of the planet, thanks to taxpayer money. Now not only will those taxpayers’ children have no jobs, except for servicing Chinese tourists, but the taxpayers themselves are “early retired”….
What Romans plutocrats used, 20 centuries ago, is that a jobless Roman can’t even make a revolution… 25 centuries ago, the Plebs, asking for new rights, went on strike. The Patricians then had to submit and agree with those new rights. When the fascist plutocratic empire got launched for good, the Plebs was powerless. The scheme is repeated nowadays. Countries such as France have more than 7/11 of their industrial GDP produced (mostly in) Asia… (How did I get “7/11”? By looking at the CO2 emissions…)
***
Now I am a leftist and Kamala, whom I recommended to vote for in the distant past, speaks like me, proposing many of the reforms I proposed, very long ago… And which she seems to have adopted.. Why would I then not vote for her? Because I helped Obama get elected and was rewarded by the exact opposite of the policies I hoped for. The short of it is that I don’t believe Kamala, and I know who is pulling some of her strings (the widow of Steve Jobs of Apple is an example…) She would then reinforce the tech monopolies, and I have public and personal reasons to oppose that.
***
By “putting America First”, by raising all sorts of barriers, Trump threatens directly the global plutocratization. The effort was apparently so successful that Biden profited from it, and was (mostly) unable to reverse Trump’s policies. Europe got left in the dust… Making European plutocrats and Eurocrats doubly angry…
Will the US People have the courage to prevent the Deep Elite State from establishing itself further? In any case this revolt is just starting. What we need is real, direct democracy, and not a corrupt machinery of puppet “representatives” who represent only the plutocrats who have animated them.
Not all republics are democracies. But we have been evoking here a more basic problem. Res Publica and Deep Elite State are incompatible. The republic belongs to the public, not to an elite.

Abstract: A large part of Fundamentalist Islam is incompatible with civilization and ought to be eliminated. Eliminated by force, as were Nasrallah, his Hezbollah goons and Abbas Nilforouchan, general and deputy commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, who died by Nasrallah’s side, as they were plotting further mayhem for their terrorist enterprise.
The quotes of the fatally hate filled Islamist Scriptures are unambiguously vicious and those who preach them in public should be outlawed, and sent back where they come from (in the frequent case of immigrants): civilization must be defended. Islamist infection must be eliminated before it turns to Islamist gangrene. Nasrallah for 32 years led Hezbollah, threatening Israel with extinction in accordance with the famous quotes and conceptology below.
Hebrews began to emerge in the highlands of Canaan in the late Bronze Age, 33 centuries ago, and are the only social group from that period still calling the Middle Earth home. Telling the world that Jews should be exterminated, just because they are “Jews”, as famous Hadiths have it (see below), and so does the Hamas charter, is not compatible with civilization.
Nasrallah, his following and other puppets of the Islamists reigning in Teheran pretended that their genocidal religion superseded civilization, and wanted to impose that as the new common sense. For civilization, there was only one way out, same as with the Nazis, namely elimination of the lethal threat. It’s not gun totting Kamala Harris who will contradict this strategy, there was no other.
Indeed, preaching quotes threatening individuals with torturous deaths, for absolutely no good reason, as if they were orders from God, as they are supposed to be, is not just hate speech, but outright unsustainable. Death threats in private may be fun, and invigorating, but when they are presented to the gullible public as the best way to enjoy a God’s favor, death threats, and thus a large part of Fundamentalist Islam, and Muslim most sacred Scripture, should be completely outlawed, and recontextualized as the inadmissible perversity of long gone savages. If that is not done, then, to prevent even worse outcomes, thousands, or even millions of innocents may have to die to get to the perpetrators hiding behind them. The Israel Defense Force has no choice but devasting parts of Lebanon to get to the immense stores of ammunitions burrowed by Hezbollahs dozens of meters in the ground: one can see the secondary explosions, including when the IDF took out Nasrallah and his twenty high level homicidal colleagues, one of them a general from Iran… 20 meters below eight stories buildings in a densely populated part of Beirut…
The long standing pernicious flirtation of venal intellectual Western Islamophilic influencers (Sartre, Foucault, etc…) with Islamist fascism should be examined, condemned and vilified! We quote, you judge!

Karlin, from Sweden, a financial programmer, thinks that she observed the following: “A Tunisian Iman in France gave a sermon calling the French flag ‘satanic’. Within 8 hours, the police showed up at his house and put him on the first plane to Tunisia.
He had lived in France for 40 years!” Karlin asks:”Do you agree with France’s decision to deport him?”
***
Karlin does not like Islamist propaganda, however, she fell victim of it in that description! … This is how pernicious Islamist propaganda can be! Indeed she repeats a biased, pro-Salafist, description of the situation. Indeed, the description pretends that the Imam used the word “satanic” in relation to France and then was deported “within 8 hours”. Actually such situations do not develop this way, but over a period of years. Typically a Salafist (follower of the old ones, that’s what Salafist means) threatened to, or suggest that, all Jews among others, should be killed… following a number of Hadith which claim that there will not be the “final judgment” before all Jews are killed…
Here is one of them: Sahih Muslim (Book 41, Hadith 6985). It is narrated that the Prophet Muhammad is reported to have said:
“The Last Hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims will kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree, and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the Gharqad tree would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews.”
Similarly worded and lethally concept-laden Hadiths are from no lesser authorities than the first two Caliphs…
When a preacher at a mosque engages in hate laden lethal preaching systematically, French authorities ask the mosque to force the preacher to cease and desist, and if he does not, ask the mosque to fire the preacher. If that also fails, the mosque is threatened with closure. Independently the Imam can receive an OQTN (Obligation To Quit National Territory… Not just France but the Schengen Area).
After years of elaboration, this new law restricting hate and mayhem speech passed by the French National Assembly, the Senate and signed by the president, at the end of 2023 It has been applied so far in only a couple of cases (appealed to superior European courts).
Preachers of fatal violence for theological reasons have caused mayhem in France and countries related to France (including ex-colonies, or ex-protectorates). There is no reason to tolerate them anymore than Nazis with a murderous following. Actually there are basically no murderous Nazis anywhere, while millions claim to be ready to kill in the name of Salafism.
Salafists and other partisans of fundamentalist Islam can still be heard on the radio in France, preaching that no woman should go out by herself. If no close relative can be found, a grand nephew or a distant cousin will make do. Such people can talk for hours and accuse any transgressing woman to not be a Muslim anymore… And they add that some think that there is supporting scripture that those who leave Islam should be killed. More explicitly:
The Qur’an strongly condemns apostasy (leaving Islam). Classical Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), of the four main schools of Sunni Islam, the Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i, and Hanbali schools, traditionally upheld the death penalty for apostasy (they sometimes included conditions and allowed for a period of repentance). Islamist intellectuals like the (convicted rapist) Tariq Ramadan have argued, they always do, for “nuanced understanding”. Ramadan is a descendant of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, professor at Oxford University, among other prestigious places propagandist on French TV for decades, now convicted in several countries and imprisoned in Switzerland)… Ramadan even raped handicapped women…
Some of the key verses related to apostasy include:
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:217): “And whoever among you reverts from his religion and dies while he is a disbeliever – for those, their deeds have become worthless in this world and the Hereafter, and those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.” Some have argued that this is not an explicit order to burn people alive in the case of apostasy, as it addresses, at the very least, the afterlife. However, this is exactly what Ali (4th Caliph and son in law of the Prophet) did, burning disbelievers alive.
Surah An-Nisa, “The Women” (4:137): “Indeed, those who believed then disbelieved, then believed, then disbelieved, and then increased in disbelief – never will Allah forgive them, nor will He guide them to a way.” Again, this verse addresses the spiritual fate of apostates but does not mandate any legal or physical punishment.
And so on and so forth. The Qur’an is hyper violent and assassination oriented, denial is useless, and the early followers of the Prophet agreed and actually claimed that they heard him say so (remember that the Prophet died very angry, claiming he had been poisoned, and there had been several attempts to kill him, including by causing a mountain rock avalanche a year before his death…). Many Hadith agree with the following one, which is very famous:
Sahih Bukhari (9:83:17):
“The Prophet said, ‘Whoever changes his religion, kill him.'”
Do I need to quote more? Faced with such death threats by intruders in the house of civilization, one must say with a (laughing “joy” candidate) Kamala Harris running for president in September 2024: “anyone who tries to break into my house is gonna get shot.” Especially if they threaten to kill us for an imaginary dysfunctional relationship, or lack thereof, with a God somewhere…
