Fake ecologists are paid to hate hydrogen… Real ecologists want a hydrogen economy
Political movements claiming to be “ecologist” have long been captured by the fossil fuel establishment. This is why the climate catastrophe has unfolded as badly as it did. Illustrating this corruption, 82 “scientists” urged the Olympic authorities to drop the Toyota Mirai, a large Electric Fuel Cell car, as official car of the 2024 Olympic Games. Their slogan is typical lying:”Scientists: Hydrogen fuel cell tech has failed, Toyota Mirai should be ditched….” In truth, using hydrogen to make electricity has never worked better, and brought us to the Moon 55 years ago. Their principal and best argument is that hydrogen is not produced ecologically. True but irrelevant, as the idea is to store intermittent energy, and the progress on ever more efficient electrolyzers (making Hydrogen from water) is incessant.

Here it is:
I was driven last week in a hydrogen fuel cell taxi through Paris. The cab driver, a lady who immigrated to France long ago, told me she switched from a BEV, a Battery Electric Vehicle. The BEV took hours to charge, the hydrogen fuel takes two minutes and then the car goes 640 kilometers before refueling. She much preferred the hydrogen fuel cell. She said that colleagues who had bought BEVs tried to get rid of them to purchase hydrogen fuel cell cars, but they could not sell their BEVs.
The anti hydrogen fuel crowd is wrong and anti-ecological. They were manipulated by dirty tricks financiers who made a fortune.
The US got to the moon, thanks to hydrogen fuel cells (one of them exploded during Apollo 13). At the time no battery could provide the electricity necessary. The USA led the research on hydrogen fuel cells… Until the first day of the Obama presidency. Obama knew nothing, except to obey the so-called “donors”, the hyper wealthy manipulators of the Deep State. Those puppet masters had decided to finance their own puppet, Elon Musk, through Tesla. To make Tesla hugely profitable, they devised a devious scheme to finance it through sales of normal ICE cars. That was very unlikely and thus early investors, through call options, made a killing for themselves, and that included many politicians who later voted to finance Tesla through usual ICE cars.
Intermittent solar and wind energy does not work as a system to replace fossil fuels. This intermittency is a trick to keep a 100% fossil fuel system ready to be plugged in, at any time. Indeed, especially in Europe, one can have four months of fog without wind in winter… Then what do the great ecologists do? Go to the balmy Caribbean in a world championship sailboat, Greta style?
The only alternative to fossil fuels is then nuclear energy, which can be much improved, and made safer and without waste. In particular highly efficient high temperature reactors which produce hydrogen as part of the cooling process, can be made…. Or then, to solve the intermittency problem, one could use intermittent energy to make green hydrogen, or green derivatives of hydrogen (ammonia, etc.)…. Hydrogen, by the way, can be mixed with natural gas… That was already done, very safely, up to 25%, in France, a century ago. So green hydrogen could use the existing natural gas network.

That was the end of my censored comment. Let me add a few things. Steel and cement manufacturing can only become “green” through the massive usage of hydrogen. As it is, they are contributing enormously to the climate crisis (cement requires temperatures of 1450 Centigrades…)
One of the most injurious conspiracy has been that of fossil fuels and other lobbyists of old, but very mighty industries. Consider a steel mogul: he will probably want to keep on raking profits, and thus not to invest in hydrogen technology… Hey, maybe then he has enough money for a 100 million dollars wedding… Let’s quote the European Parliament:
“The iron and steel industry is responsible for about 4% of anthropogenic CO2 emissions in
Europe, and 9% worldwide, due to the massive use of coal. [Use of coal is at an all time high in 2024!]
Replacing coal by hydrogen generated with renewable energy would make it possible to
largely decarbonise the industry…
Conclusion? The loud protests against hydrogen are actually financed by the fossil fuel industry. Fortunately the French and European authorities have decided, finally, in 2024, to go full speed ahead with hydrogen…That Obama’s first decision, on day one, was to drop hydrogen research is a testimony of how corrupt scientists can be. Politicians, we already knew… And, contrarily to what the plutocratic media has been saying, conspiracies are everywhere, but the most terrible conspiracies are hidden by complete absurdities… made to distract people from crucial issues…
