Qionghai, July 1 (Reporter Zhang Qianyi) Starting today, Hainan has launched the distribution of 40 million yuan of exclusive summer travel consumption cooling subsidies, aimed at activating the summer travel market, allowing tourists to 'spend less and enjoy more', and creating a 'Cool Island' tourism brand.

This 'Cooling Subsidy' will be distributed until September 30. According to the Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Film and Television, from July 1 to September 30, domestic tourists entering the island (including tourists from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan) and residents of Hainan Island can log in and bind customer groups through the 'Cool Hainan' WeChat mini-program or 'Haiyi Ban' APP, submit travel consumption subsidy applications according to the rules of the platform.

The scope of travel consumption subsidies includes the expenses for进出 island transportation (air tickets, train tickets, ferry tickets), accommodation consumption within the province, ticket fees for AAAAA-level (inclusive) scenic areas, catering consumption, and more.

Citizens and tourists can apply for subsidies by uploading their valid travel consumption receipts through the system with one click. Subsidies will be verified for authenticity and amount through big data and AI technology, and after the review is passed, the subsidies will be directly returned to the personal consumption account in proportion to the total consumption amount.

In terms of self-driving tours, the Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Film and Television plans to invest 2 million yuan to purchase a comprehensive insurance service for 'Self-driving Comfortably' on-island self-driving tours, and offer insurance services to tourists who purchase self-driving tour route products through the 'Cool Hainan' mini-program.

At the same time, a 20 million yuan catering consumption subsidy, organized by the Hainan Provincial Department of Commerce, will also be distributed. Tourists who meet the conditions and participate in the catering subsidy activities can apply for a 50 yuan catering consumption subsidy after the consumption amount reaches 400 yuan with a valid invoice and passing the review.

This summer, themed 'Cool Summer, Hainan Vacation', Hainan leverages its unique natural resources to launch a new summer cooling experience of 'climbing mountains, going to the sea, visiting museums, and enjoying literature'; over 100 characteristic cultural and tourism activities, including concerts, music concerts, thematic exhibitions, and sports events, immerse tourists in a summer island experience.

Before September 20, 2025, tourists aged 50 and above (inclusive) and inter-provincial tourists from Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan can enjoy free visits to 29 AAAAA-level scenic areas in Hainan; families with three or more people can enjoy the 'Free for 1 adult and 1 child' attraction tickets by bringing children under 12 years old.
