On July 1st, the reporter learned from the Gaoshou Municipal Bureau of Agriculture, Rural Affairs and Rural Revitalization that this year, nearly 90% of the litchi in the city has been sold, with sales revenue exceeding 3.6 billion yuan.
The planting history of Gaoshou litchi dates back more than 2,000 years, and it had become an imperial tribute as early as the Tang Dynasty. This year is a 'big year' for litchi harvest, with a total planting area of 591,400 mu and an output of about 3.8 million tons in Gaoshou City.
According to the Gaoshou Municipal Bureau of Agriculture, Rural Affairs and Rural Revitalization, Gaoshou has held a series of litchi production and sales promotion activities and released a unified packaging identification for Gaoshou litchi. The 12 types of litchi packaging cover gift-giving, e-commerce, and retail scenarios.
Hu Xing, a procurement agent from Mianyang, Sichuan Province, said that this year, in addition to obtaining the litchi industry situation, relevant policies, and procurement guidelines issued by the local government in Gaoshou, he also received information such as litchi quality grading standards and directory of high-quality orchards.

It is reported that this year, Gaoshou has signed litchi procurement agreements with merchants in Hong Kong and Macau, and sold Gaoshou litchi through the 'Direct Bus to Hong Kong and Macau'.
Liang Zisheng, senior agronomist at the Gaoshou Municipal Bureau of Agriculture, Rural Affairs and Rural Revitalization, said that at present, Gaoshou litchi has made a breakthrough in the high-end market through multi-dimensional efforts such as quality grading, customized innovation, cold chain upgrading, and channel expansion. Subsequently, it will continue to focus on supply chain resilience, sustainable development, and brand protection, while leveraging policy dividends such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement to promote the transition of 'China Litchi Town' from a regional brand to an international high-end brand.
