The 'buy and refund' departure tax refund between Beijing and Tianjin has achieved cross-city mutual recognition.
Tianjin, July 2 (Reporter Zhou Yaqiang) The mutual recognition of the 'buy and refund' departure tax refund scheme between Beijing and Tianjin has officially commenced. On July 2nd, the reporter learned from the Tianjin Tax Bureau that under the guidance of the tax departments in Beijing and Tianjin, the first transaction has been successfully completed, marking the realization of the 'same city' for the 'buy and refund' departure tax refund between Beijing and Tianjin.
According to information, the first person to enjoy this convenience was a South Korean traveler named Zheng Yongzhu. He successfully processed the 'buy and refund' tax refund after shopping at the New Yanxia奥特莱斯 in Tianjin on June 23rd. The next day, when he left from Beijing Capital International Airport, the tax refund process was completed efficiently through collaboration between the Beijing and Tianjin branches of the Bank of China, after the Beijing Customs conducted verification.

Previously, overseas travelers had to leave from Tianjin Airport after shopping at designated stores in Tianjin to enjoy the 'buy and refund' service. After the National Tax Administration issued a promotion notice on April 8th this year, the tax departments of the Beijing and Tianjin regions responded quickly, guiding the two branches of the Bank of China in the two regions to jointly formulate a mutual recognition scheme, and establishing a cross-regional service team to ensure a smooth process for the entire business flow. Starting from June 23rd, overseas travelers who shop and complete tax refunds at 'buy and refund' stores in either city in the Beijing-Tianjin region can choose to leave from Beijing Capital International Airport, Beijing Daxing International Airport, or Tianjin Binhai International Airport, truly realizing 'tax refunds without worries across cities'.
The relevant person in charge of the Tianjin Tax Bureau stated that in the next step, the bureau will continue to expand the scope of departure tax refund shops in key business districts and tourist attractions throughout the city in collaboration with relevant departments. This will provide overseas travelers with a more superior and convenient consumption experience, helping to create a new high ground for international consumption in the Beijing-Tianjin region.
