  • ‭Joshua 6:1 NIV‬ Now the gates of Jericho were securely barred because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in.

Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a good day. Have you ever deeply thought about the walls of Jericho? First, we realize that God was not giving Israel a land that had no people; it was an inhabited place. Before them in this story stood great walls, the doors were sealed so that these children of God do not go through. God had however promised and His promises and blessings no one can stop. Jesus talking with His disciples told them that with God all things are possible. It is true to you child of God; with God all things are possible. With God means when you trust and obey God. You shut those noise showing you impossibility of what God has promised you. What you need to do is to listen to God's instructions and not physically looking at challenges before you. Some may look impossible like these walls of Jericho and when you think you can go through doors, the world will close and seal them so that you don't go through. However, God is the one who makes a way where there is no way for His children. Your victory might be just a worship away and not in your much efforts or knowledge. Trusting and obeying God is the greatest key to a Christian victorious living. We are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. God loves you have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.

  • HEB 11:19 AFINTLIT He reasoned that God was able even to raise him from the dead, from which, in a figurative sense, he also received him back.

Good morning and praise God. I hope you are having a good weekend. How much faith do you have in God? Abraham had walked so close with God and learnt from God's presence that when God told him to sacrifice his only son Isaac, he readily proceeded to get that done. The Bible records that He reasoned that God was able even to raise him from the dead. Remember unlike you, Abraham had not read anywhere where God resurrected someone. It was all pure faith! Figuratively, he received his son back when an angel stopped him and instead provided a lamb. Jesus was killed as lamb of sacrifice for our sins and this time God did not stop it. Jesus took your sins upon himself and died the death we were to die! The death that would separate us from God permanently. Death would however not hold him for long, on the third day He rose again! Our Savior lives and loves you so much. Do you love Him? Do you have faith in Him? He reminds you that you only need faith as small as mustard seed ; this is the faith He will make like the mustard tree ! Fear not child of God, trust and obey God and receive it all back. Stop worrying about many things you'll lose for all belongs to God, open your heart and life to God. Surrender your life to Jesus. May God fill you with Holy Spirit to serve Him. God loves you have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.

  • John 5:24 ESV
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

Good morning and praise God. How are you doing today? I am lying on bed somewhere I spent much time experiencing both God and the other side. The other side was so frightening making me sleepless and in fact retarded my speech then. God wasn't away, He was so close to me . He directed me to read Lord's prayer every day before sleeping and the evil left. Today we talk about that authority that saved me. By the way, we didn't attend church those years except during school prayer days. Sundays were just day to rest and enjoy the Wakorino drums and the independent bells buzzing the air from the other side of the valley. Today , I lay here not as villain but as a victor. I am a victor because I heard the Word and believed on Jesus sent to give me eternal life. I have passed from death to life. When I am sharing these devotions, I talk about the one I have known and seen not just heard. I talk about the Good News that saves. I am now growing older everyday but one thing I have always loved is to be a child of God. Amidst life business, I always thirst for my time with God . Time away from all many responsibilities on my shoulders. My redeemer lives and may He bless you and grant you joy in His presence. God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.

  • Acts 4:12 NIV
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a great day. Thinking about a savior, everyone needs one. When growing up, I was so close to my father because he saved me from brows from my mother. He would not allow her to beat me but would rather stand between me and her. Unfortunately my savior didn't love long, a tragic accident took him when I was barely seven years. Later on I also had my uncle who also only waited until I graduated and got my first good job, in fact, the last call was about that job that would bring me to Nairobi near his place but he too left before I had even done my interview. The only Savior that has lasted is another one who came through for me after my father died. His name is Jesus Christ. I didn't know Him , I began like Samuel but in my case O didn't have Eli to tell me it was God speaking. The Bible however taught me who He was. Beloved, you should rejoice if you know Jesus Christ and if you aren't sure that you know Him, you must seek to know Him. There's no other name under Heaven that can save you! Only Jesus Christ! I am a testimony about it. It is not a dream or a theory or some sort of stories. He is the only connection you need for everything to work in your life. It is not about the church and all the traditions and rituals that are good or that powerful M.O.G or today's W.O.G, it's about Jesus Christ who loved you and me before we even knew Him. He says "Everyone whom the Father gives me will come to me, and the one who comes to me I will never send away." John 6:37. Take a moment and invite Jesus to walk with you and save you. God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.

  • Matthew 28:6 ESV He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.

Good morning and praise God. I hope you're blessed this morning. Yesterday we observed Good Friday, a good Friday because someone did something good for some bad guys. The bad guys are you and me and the person is Jesus. He sacrificed His own life according to scriptures to pay the debt of sins we commit. It wasn't a shot in the head death but rather a cruel one! The Roman way of punishing treasonous criminals. It was a victory when on that cross Jesus exclaimed "it is finished". However, it needed a mark that it was true Jesus was above daath. Jesus promised to rebuild the new temple in three days! People then wondered how, a temple in three days yet Solomon took many years to build one? Jesus meant the new temple which is the temple of Holy Spirit that is in you. He meant He would die and after three days resurrect. In our verse today, we see angels announcing to the two Mary " He is not here, for he has risen as he said. Come , see the place where he lay". These words are critical for our faith as Christian. It is our foundation that gives us the confidence to sing "Our Savior lives". It is the message that Jews have tried to bury because they rejected Jesus. They even paid the guards to lie that disciples came and stole the body of Jesus but that lie was too late. Jesus Christ spent with the disciples 40 days after resurrection. It was all evident that Satan lost permanently! The only key left to him was lies for he is father or lies and all who lies! Jesus is the way, truth and life. Through him we confidently approach God, not as sinners but as forgiven sinners through Him! Hallelujah! The victory is ours! He is risen. The evidence is too much to be hidden. Trust Him. Trust your Savior. Praise Him. Know the truth and let the truth set you free. God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.

  • John 16:33 ES I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a great day. Have you ever tried reasoning why bad things happens to believers and not to those who do not believe? It is a question that disturbed Habakkuk from the Bible so much. It also happens to many true believers these day. You're not alone in those tribulations. Jesus explained in depth to disciples about the suffering they would have to face. John 16:3 ESV "And they will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor me. " In this point, we see that we face tribulations because in the world we live in, our fellow human do not know God not Jesus Christ. To know here means they have not trusted their lives to God and Savior Jesus Christ. Remember that this is quite personal relationship and not the claim that we may just make with our mouth or any other physical actions. It is quite hidden that only Him knows who are His and them knows His voice. Are you one of these? Does Christ know you? Disciples really suffered to death in this world but they never stopped sharing the Good News and they had peace in doing this because Jesus the prince of peace was with them always to the end. They knew the better gift they had and we're ready to hold to it rather than conforming to patterns of this world. How I pray that God will help you and me to hold on to Jesus Christ to the end . God loves you. Happy Easter. Shalom. Shalom.

  • Daniel 5:11-12 ESV
There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the spirit of the holy gods. In the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods were found in him, and King Nebuchadnezzar, your father—your father the king—made him chief of the magicians, enchanters, Chaldeans, and astrologers, because an excellent spirit, knowledge, and understanding to interpret dreams, explain riddles, and solve problems were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar. Now let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation.”

Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a great morning. Let's talk about being faithful to our God. We all know that for sure God is faithful. This morning we reflect on our expected response to that. Belteshazzar was the name Daniel was given in Babylon. When Nebuchadnezzar died, his son Belshazzar became the new king. This son had witnessed or knew how God had humbled his father through a tough live as an animal. This son however never learned anything from that. One day they had a party and he thought it a good idea to use items robbed from Jerusalem temple for the party! It was all going well as they drank from temple's goblets while praising their gods until a hand appeared on the wall and wrote this mysterious message that all the wise men of Babylon couldn't read. It was already known in the Kingdom that Daniel (Belteshazzar) would do it. The message was from God and it clearly stated that Babylonian kingdom was over . It was over for these proud people who would not bow to God and worship Hon despite having witnessed His power. All those years God had been faithful but this was the last night for them. That night Belshazzar was killed and Medes took over the kingdom. Daniel the faithful man of God continued to shine (though not without challenges). Are you ready to be a faithful child of God like Daniel? He was not firm on his own accord but because he remained constantly faithful to God in a place where he had all opportunities to turn on reckless or conforming life. He continued praying thrice a day and practically living his faith. May God help us emulate him and follow Jesus Christ always. God loves you have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.

  • Psalm 42:1-2 ESV
As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?

Dear God, it is a beautiful Monday morning you've given us. We thank you for your showers of blessing. I pray that you satisfy our thirst for you. Amen. Good morning my dear friend. I remember back in campus I would spend nights working on myself under Maseno student WiFi. Most of the time I was learning and testing things away from my computing course. There's however a special small place that would make me stop all this. The CU chapel! Some other time was just another learning hall where we met with other brethren for a few worships and prayers. It was sweeter than all the works I was doing. It was the only place that I felt internally rejuvenated and purposed. There's nothing better than learning to thirst for God amidst our busy schedules that life give us. Our days dissatisfactions or satisfactions cannot replace that place of us that thirst for God. When we learn to quench it especially at our personal level, we get enlightened beyond our daily struggles.People like Daniel had learnt this secret of thirsting for God and breaking to spend time with God.Jesus Christ used to break from His busy ministry schedule and spend time with Father. Breaking from what you do in order to sped time with God your Maker is the best decision you can make. It is not about Sunday church service but rather breaks to quench your thirst for God. God loves you, have a blessed day and week ahead. Shalom. Shalom.

  • Psalm 56:3 ESV When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.

Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a blessed weekend. Yesterday I watched an arrest of an armed thug. He had two pistols tacked behind his pants when one of the plain clothe askari got him unawares and pointed a pistol at him. The thug full of fear begged for his life. He was not ready to die! He still had his pistols but knew that trying to use them or even trying to reach them would send him to hell. It was no longer the thugs we see in camera given courage by those weapons but simply a man completely afraid to die! Sorry for that bad example of a situation of a man in fear. Have you ever been in a place of fear? Nothing feels more important than our desire to live at a moment of utter fear. However we may be depressed not knowing what to do when this beast find its way into our lives. David was facing his enemies, the Philistines. Instead of panicking, he sought God's mercy and protection to face his fears. God is reminding us that we can trust Him when faced his fear. We can trust that our lives are safe in His hands instead of fighting for ourselves. Trust God with your fears and He will uphold you and safe you. God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.

  • Deuteronomy 30:19-20 ESV
I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”

Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a great day. Somebody said that choices have consequences. There was once a son of David called Absalom who decided to overthrow David . By the way he had genuine reasons for this. David had not been willing to punish his half-brother Amnon who raped Absalom sister, Tamar. He took it upon himself and killed Amnon. He then fled to Jerusalem where he started building favor with people in order to takeover throne from his failed father, David. He was actually a handsome guy with long hair. He made it to temporarily takeover his father's kingdom but in a battle his beautiful long hair got trapped in tree. Joab, a David's soldier, ignored David's instructions to not harm Absalom and killed him. David was a good man, he weeped over death of his son wishing he had died on his behalf. Today, God is reminding us that He has placed a choice before is. The choice is for life and death, blessing and curse. God then advise us directly to choose life by obeying His voice and holding fast to Him. Unlike the case of David and his son, we can be pretty sure that God makes no mistakes despite us not knowing exactly what He has in store for us. Jeremiah 29:11 however tell us "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." You can therefore be pretty sure that choosing God is a no mistake or a trial and error choice. It is the absolute best and perfect decision you have made and need to make each and every moment. Proverbs 10:22 tell us that "The blessing of the LORD enriches, and He adds no sorrow to it." May we then choose to walk with Jesus, obeying His voice and holding fast to Him. God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.
Deuteronomy 30:19-20 ESV I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.” Good morning and praise God. • Proverbs 3:5-6 ERV
Trust the Lord completely, and don’t depend on your own knowledge. With every step you take, think about what he wants, and he will help you go the right way.

Good morning and praise God. I hope you are having a great morning. Today's message is simple but at the same time challenging to us. "Trust the Lord completely and don't depend on your own knowledge..." To illustrate this well, put yourself in patriarch Joseph's shoes. Your brothers hate you, they plan to kill you, then they opt to sell you. You reject sin and you're jailed. In jail you help someone and they forget you. Would you personally see God in all this and trust Him still without ever complaining or even opting to sin and free yourself from the bondage of being 'too spiritual' or 'too godly'? Brethren it takes the grace and hand of God to practically trust the Lord completely. To do it partially might be easier but remember God does not share His glory with anyone and therefore we cannot trust Him partially and expect to be guided on the right way. The Psalmist gives us a key to help us '...with every step you take, think about what he wants.' What God want is clear to us but we must take the effort to put it into practice. We must take time with His Word, devote ourselves in prayers and fellowship like the first apostles. It will not happen just like that, actually what is easy whilst we are in this flesh and blood is conforming to patterns and ways of this world. The Bible warns us against that! Romans 12:2 'Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.' Do you see the same wisdom from the proverb repeated here? My prayer this morning is that we'll trust God completely. Let what you know not fret you but instead trust completely in God who created you. May His grace be sufficient for you as you and I do this. God bless you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a great Sunday morning. Today, I have a question for you. Have you ever desired to hear God speak to you? Did He speak to you or are you still trying to figure out how to hear from Him? Moses the man chosen by God to lead Israelites from Egypt to Canaan had God speak with him first through nature. A burning bush. It also happens today, look at how you're created and how everything around you. One time David did this and marveled. He said, I will praise my God for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. However, it doesn't end there. Our creator did not just create us and then distanced Himself from us. When Moses heard from God, he knew it would be difficult for people to believe God had spoken to him and sent him. "Exodus 4:11 ERV Then the Lord said to him, “Who made a person’s mouth? And who can make someone deaf or not able to speak? Who can make a person blind? Who can make a person able to see? I am the one. I am the Lord. " God wasn't so happy with Moses doubts and fear that people would believe him. Moses was so much into what people would say when he tell them that God had spoken and sent him. Jesus retaliate same message this morning telling us that those that belongs to Him hears him, He knows them and they follow Him. He gives them eternal life, they will never perish and no one will snatch them out of His hands. Does this speak to you? Are you a child of God through Jesus Christ? It is by your decision to listen and hear God speak to you. You do not necessarily need someone to tell you what God is saying to you, you can actually hear Him speak by yourself! It is true sometimes He will speak through others to you but the best is when you have that one on one talk with Him. Listen to these two hymns "A Little Talk With Jesus and I hear the Savior say" and then start taking your quiet time to hear God speak to you. God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.

  • ‭Genesis 2:17 NIV‬ but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

Good morning and praise God.I hope you're having a great day. Have you ever made a really bad decision that you really thought would work good for you though it wasn't godly? From the beginning, mankind have destroyed themselves by rejecting God's wisdom and relying on their own misguided understanding or lacking knowledge of God's law. Proverbs chapter 1 and 3 talks much about this and Hosea 4:6. Proverbs 1:7 GNT says To have knowledge, you must first have reverence for the Lord. Stupid people have no respect for wisdom and refuse to learn. In short, the first step to have peace of God in life is to respect and honor God. Looking at our verse of the day, God had given clear instructions to Adam and Eve. They were to avoid eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It was a test whether they would willingly choose to trust and obey God or rather disobey by choice. Indeed ad we at time do, they chose to disobey God. The fruit was attractive to them though they clearly knew it was not God's will for them to eat it. What bad choices are you killing yourself with in your life? Are your choices reflecting obedience to God or rejection to His commands? Remember that God is not a respecter of persons, He doesn't fit in our plans but we ourselves must fit in His, He doesn't show partiality based on anything we know in this world but rather judges righteously. He has made salvation available to all people but you must make a personal decision to accept it and live by that. If you reject His gift of salvation you'll keep blaming God and suffering shame in life but this won't change who He is! It is not God who needs you! It is you who needs Him to guide you as His child. By the way don't be lied that all people, evil and good, are children of God. No . We have many who by their choice are children of the Devil! John 8:44 . God created all of us but some people through disobedience to God [and obedience to Satan] have become children of Satan. Whose child are you this morning? Remember it is by your own choice to either live as child of God or otherwise. Make the right choice. Return to God who created you through repentance. Ask Jesus Christ to make you a new creation. God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.

  • 1 Peter 5:7 GNT
Leave all your worries with him, because he cares for you.

Good morning and praise God. I hope you are having a great morning. In my ACK Church liturgy, we have this ending of Eucharist instead of the sign of the cross, it is done practically just like the sign of the cross but instead we face the cross which is at most time middle top of the altar and then use our hands to sweep toward the cross as we recite it. Remember that our cross does not have crucifix so the last line which refers to risen Christ we do by lifting our hands towards Heaven. Here are the words we use. "Leader: All our problems. People: We send to the cross of Christ.Leader: All our difficulties. People: We send to the cross of Christ. Leader: All the devil’s works. People: We send to the cross of Christ. Leader: All our hopes. People: We set on the risen Christ." In our today's verse, we are remind to leave all our worries with Jesus because He cares for us. The previous verse talks about humbling ourselves before the LORD and He will lift us up. You may wonder how the two connects. Here is how: there's this indirect form of pride that tell us that we can do it by ourselves. We can handle our problems without being dependent on anyone. This is pride for God did not create us to be self sufficient. Someone sang and said that "no man is an island." We all need someone to help us bear many causes of worries in life. I have not yet met someone who is devoid of worries from time to time. The Bible reminds us that the best person to give all our worries is Jesus Christ because He cares for us. Like that ACK prayer, which by the way some people recite subtly, we can trust that Jesus Christ finished it all at the cross and was raised from the dead and rose to Heaven. Our hope is not dead but living when that hope is in Jesus Christ. Think about all those things causing you to worry and maybe you are ignoring them hence they are eating you inside like cancer. Then do what below verses says Philippians 4:6-7 GNT "Don't worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart. And God's peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus." God loves you, have a blessed day and week ahead. Shalom. Shalom.

But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded.

Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a great weekend. Yesterday it was all alarming for anyone that was caught amidst floods. I was one of the people caught by the floods and let me tell you they were really serious. No AI, I saw it with mine eyes. I was riding my motorcycle from Ngong Road towards Thika Road. Somehow I rode directly into fast moving flooded around Uhuru Highway where underpass are being being. I don't remember how I did a Uturn that fast when I was just about to drown with my pilon. Amidst all the lightenings and thunderstorms and fast moving waters I saw God. I hope all of you are safe. At one time in the Bible people had become so evil and God decided to wipe them. Amidst the evil one there was only one man who was righteous. He was called Noah. God saved him and his family. God remembered him. Would God remember you in our modern generation? Noah had to build an ark for a long time but you and me have a better safe place that is already made for us. This safe place is in Jesus Christ. Is Christ LORD and Savior in your life? Are you walking daily by the Savior's side? He did pay it all for you. He is ready to save all who are His. He reminds you that His yoke is easy. Remember that just as people would not save themselves from the floods at times of Noah, you cannot save yourself too. Those people in times of Noah were obstinate and went on with their ways even after hearing God call them to enter the ark and be saved. I pray that you'll not be like them. Always be found in Jesus and see God in everything. God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.

  • Esther 4:14 NIV
For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a great day. Do you know that the books of Esther and Songs of Solomon never mention the name of God? In the book of Esther, we find God working behind the scenes for His people who were in foreign land called Persia. [Fun Fact: Persia is the currently day Iran, fire was a great symbol of their divinity but their religion was known as Zoroastrianism and was monotheistic]. By God's grace Esther a foreign Jew and an orphan rose to the position of a queen. There was this enemy of God's people called Haman who conspired to annihilate all God's people because he was a proud and jealous being and a close friend of Persian king who had married Esther. Mordecai the uncle who had raised Esther then reminded Esther that her position had been given her to save them but again added to her that if she wasn't willing to, there would be help elsewhere but she would perish. You see, God does not necessarily need to speak to your ears that you are at the position you're to be His hands. You only need to listen and act. Esther listened to her uncle and acted. It was not an easy task . It was actually a matter of life and death! It was only safe when king sermoned someone to his presence but when you did sermon yourself as Mordecai wanted her to do, you'd be killed unless the king extended his grace to you which he did to Esther. God is reminding us that He has placed us in the position we are purposely. Are you using that position God has given you to bring salvation to God's people? Can someone see Jesus Christ in you even without you directly preaching to them? As we continue with this lent season, let us pray and fast that we'll rediscover our calling. God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.

Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a good day. Do you remember these words of God to Joshua? Joshua 1:9 NIV Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” God spoke to Joshua at a time when Joshua was now taking over leadership from Moses who was now dead. God must have seen the fear in Joshua. It was not an easy journey ahead just as it had not been easy before and Joshua had witnessed it all. The Israelites were obstinate people. However, God comforted and encouraged Joshua by reminding him that He will be with Him. Jesus used similar words to disciples when He commissioned them to spread Gospel. These are same words that God is encouraging us with this morning. He is with us and will be with us to the end. Probably you've been wondering how you'll make it. How you'll do it. God says He is with you, don't be afraid. All we need is to trust God's Word and grow our faith in Him. Reading God's Word tell us about people who conquered not because there were no challenges beyond their strength but because God was with them and them with God. Great victory belongs to us children of God. Hebrews 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. • 2 Kings 6:5-7 NIV As one of them was cutting down a tree, the iron axhead fell into the water. “Oh no, my lord!” he cried out. “It was borrowed!” The man of God asked, “Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, Elisha cut a stick and threw it there, and made the iron float. “Lift it out,” he said. Then the man reached out his hand and took it.

Good morning and praise God. Happy new month! I hope you're having a beautiful Sunday morning. Those who create idols have always represented their gods as complicated and mysterious creatures. In a similar manner, many associate God with doing the big miracles but rarely recognizes God with small miracles. In fact, believers are always ready to call for prayers during big undertakings but will not remember God in small issues of life. Our story of the day tell us that God is interested even in the smallest issues of life. A big miracle can happen when we learn to involve God in smallest issues of life ! A man had borrowed an axe. [I hope we all know axe and its purpose, but basically we from village used it to split firewood. Cooking with gas and electricity was too modern and unavailable]. The axe head decided to separate from the handle and fell into water. It quickly sank since it's made of iron. Those early days, such tools as axe head were as important as borrowing someone's car in today's world. Iron work was an experts business! Thank God the man was with man of God called Elisha who understood that God was not limited to doing miracles in some things but could do it right there and then. Elisha did not quarrel the man for not checking the tightness of the axe head or for not jumping into water to at least try to get the axe head. He also did not do any adacadabras like some 'men of gad', he just asked where it jad fell, picked a stick and threw it there and God reverted laws of nature, the iron axe head floated! Are you trusting God with everything this month or have you reserved God for the big matters only? It will be so difficult for you to experience miracles if you do not see God in smallest matters of life. We must also realize that God is not limited by laws of nature or whatever else we human being are limited by. If you've been good at following Jesus' miracles in the Bible, they sprang from the norms of life and not necessarily those big mysterious things. Think about God being interested in all parts of your life. Worship Him and involve Him in every matter even that which you're able to do. By doing so you'll sprang miracles that you wouldn't ever experience. God loves you, have a blessed day and month ahead. Shalom. Shalom.
2 Kings 6:5-7 NIV As one of them was cutting down a tree, the iron axhead fell into the water. • Philippians 2:13-15 NIV for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky

Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a great morning. Who are you working for in life? In Colossians 2:23 , the Bible encourages us to work on everything as if working for the LORD and not earthly masters. This is a strong encouragement that we sometimes easily forget and start working as if working for other human beings. I have experienced the frustration of working as if working for the LORD. It happens that sometimes we spend much time to perfect how we work but those placed to supervise us or support the work we are doing fails to do so or do something like what the enemies of Nehemiah did. They jeered him that the walls he was building would be fallen by wolves jumping over it. Today's verses takes another direction. They remind us that it is actually God who work in us in a way that we can fulfill His good purpose (here on earth). The letter continues to tell us that we should do everything without grumbling or arguing. Do you know how easy it is to grumble and argue when working for the Lord? I know we all have done this! Do you remember the last time you complained about the support you're getting in your ministry or at work? Do you remember the last time you felt used by fellow workers? It happens many times and at times it has made workers waste so much time not enjoying the work God has given them but rather working at it with heavy heart. God want you to shine like stars among them that are crooked in the way they work. He want you to be blameless and pure; reflecting His very nature ! It starts from that point of working on everything as if working for God and then knowing that it not about you but God who enables you do that work so that you can shine. When we shine in what we do, we attract others to ourselves and easily display to them God who is always working in us. You're empowered by God in order to reflect Him. The way to accomplish it is by stopping grumbling and arguing and doing simply what God is calling you to do. I hope this encourages you and help you understand why God has placed you there where you're working and in that ministry. Live the purpose. I hope He find you working in His vineyard and loving the work He has placed in your hands. The best call to home will be '"Well done, good and faithful servant!"' God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.

  • Matthew 16:18-19 NIV And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a blessed Monday morning. Yesterday I was a fellowship and one of the priest talked about future of them that we are mentoring in life. What will they say about you who was their teacher or mentor? Back to our today's verse. Jesus talks about church. I know many who says Bible does not talk about church and they brag that their church and salvation is at their heart. Maybe that's partly true. Jesus talks about this Church that He will build and will not be overcome by the gates of Hades. Another Word for hades is sheol and refers to the realm of the dead not necessarily hell. The gate that stands between us and Sheol is death. At this moment Jesus knew that before him was death but He didn't fear it the way we do. It is actually for that purpose He came in this world. In fulfilment of this, Jesus Christ died but on third day rose to life with the keys of hades! What does that mean to a believer like you and me? It means that we are unstoppable by even the most feared transition of life, the Church which we are are and belongs to lives forever. Jesus has got the keys so even though Satan may be be at the doors or gates, Jesus has all authority! He is in control! The verses do not end there, Jesus tell us that He will give us the keys to the kingdom of Heaven! Wow the bad is overcome and the good has been given us! To my thinking this key to Heaven is prayer. The book of acts records literal occurrences when some apostles were locked in jail and through prayers miracles happened and the door opened for them. My brother, my sister, I don't know what gates of hades are holding you this morning. I am preaching to you these words of Jesus Christ, be free, take these keys of Heaven and open good things from God your father. On the cross Jesus paid it all for you. You are an over comer because you belong to Jesus Christ who overcame it all for you. Take a moment and talk with Jesus. He is right there reminding you again and again that not even the gates of hades shall overcome you who belong to his Church. God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.

But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”

Good morning and praise God.i hope you're having a blessed weekend. Tax collectors have never been liked from the beginning of times. It seems they have always been unjust in collecting taxes. They have always been regarded as sinners. Zacchaeus was one of them. However, he was a man like any other looking for meaning of life. He found it in Jesus Christ. Now a story is told before about a young man who was very rich but had kept God's laws as he claimed. Jesus tested his faith by telling him to go now sell everything he had and give to the poor and follow him so that he can get eternal life. The Bible says the young man left with a sorrowful heart for he was very rich. Zacchaeus is opposite of that man, when he found Jesus, we see him taking a faith action to return what he had stolen from people through cheating. He is not waiting to hear Jesus in order to do what is right. He is not blaming his weak blood and flesh but rather putting his new faith in Jesus Christ onto action through the conviction in his heart. Looking at the two characters, who does your life resemble to? In this Lent season I pray that you and me will emulate Zacchaeus true repentance. I pray that we'll not shy off Jesus Christ to protect what we think is more important than eternal life. Let us pray that we'll be proactive in obeying God even before He speaks or coax us. God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.

I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.

Good morning and praise God. I hope you're doing well. Yesterday was an important day to mark start of a season called Lent. It is a reminder of how our Lord Jesus spent forty days and nights in prayer and fasting. After this , He was tempted and later His ministry began. It is a time that traditionally should remind Christians that life here on earth is temporal and they need to repent and believe in Jesus in order to gain eternal life. John 3:16. One thing that worries or better challenges me is how many younger people no longer have sincere faith that lived in generation that is slowing passing into eternity. For example, in practicing some of Christians traditions you find some who are so ignorant about it or rather the deeper meanings of these rituals. I was not worried when we witnessed that one of the girl in Russian guy video was taken from 'church' and in fact the pastors saw this man do som mischievous acts but for their own reasons it was just a visitor in their church. I know they may give the common false apology or blame the lady or just look for a way to cleanse themselves to the world but not God in Heaven. Where are we failing as believers in teaching sincere faith to the new generation ? One main thing is that very few adults live the faith they profess! They are the kind who avoids 'praise the Lord' beyond the church gate because it will harm their 'businesses'.Timothy was fortunate to learn and live his faith from his own grandmother, Lois and his mother Eunice. Paul who later in life as he mentored Timothy to be a leader saw this. He did not see a young man who was devoid of basics of Christianity like many are today but rather a young man who had already grown in sincere faith! My question to you is, how are you grooming your children in faith? Do they see you practicing what you believe or are you a wolve in sheep clothings? I think we need an inscription at home door post saying 'faith begins at home' to remind us that if we don't practically live our faith, we contribute to the faithless generation that is expanding exponentially. Going to church is not enough and also depending on what children teachers work hand to instill in your children; you must practically groom and nurture your children in faith. As a parent you must follow-up on what they were taught in there church school not just following with rituals such as dedication, baptism, confirmation and others. By the way many still want their kids baptised or confirmed after missing all classes and if the priest gets serious on it they hate him or her. It is a duty that God has given us to raise our kids in sincere faith. As we start this season of prayer and fasting, please do check on this. Deuteronomy 11:18-19 NIV "Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. " God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.

  • Daniel 3:17-18 AMP If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to rescue us from the furnace of blazing fire, and He will rescue us from your hand, O king. But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up!” [Job 13:15; Acts 4:19, 20]

Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a great day. Do you know that God is never late? Sometimes we feel need for urgency especially when faced with difficult choices in life . Personally at such time I wishes to just hear God answer me . Today we meet three men who had made a firm decision to trust God whether it seemed He was later , whether he saved them or not. Imagine facing death courageously. Would you? A king made this idol statue and on dedication a decree was made that anyone who would not bow to it would be thrown into a blazing furnace. Shadrack, Meshach and Abednego were Jews high class workers in this worldy kingdom. When all other great men obeyed king, they defied the rule! They didn't fear facing the king and tell him to his face that they wouldn't bow to his idol whether their God would save them or not. The king was so angry and he ordered the furnace seven times heated up. They were tied together and thrown in as the king watched. In fact those throwing them were consumed by the fire. Landing there, the king noted that he was seeing four men yet only three had been thrown in. It was not late to God, He was already there with these guys though no miracle or voice from Heaven was being heard! It was however evident when fourth person appeared. It was all evident when the three walked out of the furnace not even smelling smoke. It was clear to everybody that God is never late and He is always with those that trust in Him even in the most difficult circumstances. Are you one of those who trust in God for who He is? Are you sure that that you know that God is never late and you trust in Him under all circumstances? I pray that God help you and me to have such great faith in Him like Shadrack, Meshach and Abednego. God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.
