Esther 4:14 NIV
For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a great day. Do you know that the books of Esther and Songs of Solomon never mention the name of God? In the book of Esther, we find God working behind the scenes for His people who were in foreign land called Persia. [Fun Fact: Persia is the currently day Iran, fire was a great symbol of their divinity but their religion was known as Zoroastrianism and was monotheistic]. By God's grace Esther a foreign Jew and an orphan rose to the position of a queen. There was this enemy of God's people called Haman who conspired to annihilate all God's people because he was a proud and jealous being and a close friend of Persian king who had married Esther. Mordecai the uncle who had raised Esther then reminded Esther that her position had been given her to save them but again added to her that if she wasn't willing to, there would be help elsewhere but she would perish. You see, God does not necessarily need to speak to your ears that you are at the position you're to be His hands. You only need to listen and act. Esther listened to her uncle and acted. It was not an easy task . It was actually a matter of life and death! It was only safe when king sermoned someone to his presence but when you did sermon yourself as Mordecai wanted her to do, you'd be killed unless the king extended his grace to you which he did to Esther. God is reminding us that He has placed us in the position we are purposely. Are you using that position God has given you to bring salvation to God's people? Can someone see Jesus Christ in you even without you directly preaching to them? As we continue with this lent season, let us pray and fast that we'll rediscover our calling. God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.
