CMMC: July Magenta Color

Here is a stuffed toy dog with a magenta colored plastic cup on it’s head.

Then a banana with an information sticker on it in magenta color.

 

Now a couple of odd ones –

I drew with magenta ink marker a circular mandala.

Also, I tried setting up a funny scene with my little toy fuzzy yellow chicken. I had a magenta toy which I think is like a hospital scanning machine and the chick is sitting in the chair looking scared. haha 🙂

These hot magenta items are some  I found here in the house: a box containing tubes of lotion, a bath scrubbie, fingernail polish, and 2 cat food can covers. 🙂

One of those funny advertising wiggly things. I don’t know what to call them, but they are fun to see.

At a teacher’s supply store, I saw this peacock made from paper, up on a bulletin board.

The last photo is at the grocery store. They have covered up the beer aisle, as they will not sell alcohol before noon, on Sunday. This reminds me of the long ago days of the ‘blue laws’. Do any of you remember those? Certain items could not be sold at all on Sunday. I don’t know who chose what to include in the list of banned Sunday items, but it made no sense, it was so random. I looked up the origin of blue laws, and according to the Wikipedia article, they were enacted for religious reasons. I still don’t get the whole concept. It seems to me to be forcing religious practices on everybody, whether they subscribe to religion or not. We had a weird week, so it was good for taking some odd-ball photos.

First, we saw some cows, close up! Then, we were almost home, and had a tire blow-out. Turns out there were 2 of them, one on each side. Finally got them fixed.

Last evening we had a much needed downpour of rain, and some hail. The rain running down on the glass storm door made for some interesting effects.

Then, for fun, I was trying to make shadows on the wall. Looks kinda creepy! 🙂

We saw these bubble ball looking things in a park we were driving by. I don’t know what they are called, but kids get in them and roll around. Looks like fun. There were about a dozen of them getting aired up, and ready to play with. That’s me in the mirror, taking the photo.

Out on my cousin’s farm yesterday, he had this metal structure. It’s like a dome. Not sure what it is, but he found it somewhere, and was planning to make a green-house out of it.

Bop! That’s what my grand-daughter calls me. Looks like someone put my ‘grand-ma’ name on their refrigerator. How cool is that? 🙂

First photo is me, in the grocery store monitor. Next is a metal bench and luggage carts outside the DFW airport. Last photo isn’t really so odd, but was fun. I saw these carolers outside the grocery store. They were taking donations for the Salvation Army. They also had their cute dog dressed up for the occasion, and were asking people passing by to join in their singing. I did for a minute on the song Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. (I forgot to put this photo on my Christmas post, and wanted to just add it here.) 🙂
