Back on September 1st, we went a few places here in town, with the family. It was Labor Day weekend. The restaurant where we chose to eat lunch was in the down town area. When we got there, to our surprise, we could barely find a parking spot. It seems several streets were blocked off, and workers were getting things set up for a festival that evening.

The first 3 photos show some of them at work. One is driving a forklift, one is putting entertainment choices on the marquee. That is the Cactus Theater, which is a very old, and historic movie theater, and now holds music concerts there. The third photo is of workers setting up the outdoor stage, where musicians would be playing later on.

Earlier that morning, we visited the Silent Wings Museum, out by the airport. The next 2 photos aren’t real people, but statues, or sculptures? They show men in uniform who worked and piloted the glider planes many years ago. They sure looked real to me.

This is a bird’s nest. My son-in-law found it on their lawn, so he put it back in the bushes. It was empty.

I like how the bird had constructed the nest. All the weaving together of whatever it chose. I especially like that the bird used a blue ribbon to make it pretty.

We saw these really cool metal animals, for yard art, at the store the other day. I’d like to have them all, but they were terribly expensive.

Sooo, I was walking around in PetSmart the other day, and passed by this door to the back room employee’s area. Guess who? Why, it’s the Easter Bunny, of course! 🙂 I just had to laugh and take a photo of this unexpected rabbit. I’m guessing it is part of an Easter Bunny costume. Looked like it was peeking out at me! 🙂

Orange steer in the back of a pick-up truck.

I think this is a thing to practice cattle roping with. The rodeo is in town here, so we’ve been seeing a lot of horses and trailers around, lately. This may have been someone’s rodeo equipment.

This challenge is all about those photos you take that are just strange, weird, or don’t really fit into any certain category.

The first photo is a window at a restaurant.

It looks like there is a monkey face in there. Do you see it?

In the second one, at the store, there was a bowl of lip balms with those emotion faces. Looks like this ‘lil fella felt trapped, and wanted out!

Today being February 2, Ground Hog Day, here are some maybe cousins, which are not ground hogs. 🙂

We do have a lot of prairie dogs here, and one we hear from every year is named Prairie Dog Pete. We’ll hear if he sees his shadow today.
