VISION
Lane Cove deserves spaces that grow with its people. We saw the 1924 church site not as constraint but as opportunity—a chance to weave together worship, living, and community gathering in ways that feel both familiar and fresh. The heritage building stays, its purpose expands, and around it rises housing that understands this neighbourhood's rhythm.
SOLUTION
Our response threads contemporary living through historic fabric. The retained church anchors a 400-seat auditorium that opens beyond Sunday services to become Lane Cove's cultural heart. Forty-seven apartments rise thoughtfully, their façade speaking to the streetscape whilst creating clear boundaries between public gathering and private retreat. Ground-floor retail activates the corner, ministry spaces support congregation life, and every detail serves both heritage and progress. We've created architecture that listens to place and responds to people—where St Andrew's continues its century-long conversation with Lane Cove whilst welcoming new voices to join in.
The design acknowledges this site's role as gateway between town centre energy and residential calm. Our material palette and building articulation respect the existing streetscape whilst improving visibility and wayfinding. This is thoughtful densification that strengthens rather than strains community fabric.

"We've considered what Lane Cove needs for generations ahead, then designed to deliver it."
