El Flatiron es un ejemplo brillante de cómo aprovechar cada centímetro de terreno para construir un nuevo edificio. Su arquitectura y forma única aprovechan al máximo el espacio triangular del terreno. Con sus 22 pisos de altura, no sólo se destaca por su elevación, sino que se convirtió en uno de los primeros íconos de la ciudad de Nueva York tras su finalización en 1902.
Daniel Burnham fue el encargado de poner en marcha el ambicioso e innovador diseño que dio origen al antiguamente llamado Fuller Building, mejor conocido hoy como Flatiron Building ubicado en el número 175 de la Quinta Avenida.
El Flatiron se abre paso en una diagonal que no pasa desapercibida para los neoyorquinos, los amantes de la arquitectura y los turistas de todo el mundo, ya que esta zona ofrece distintas opciones para visitar y disfrutar lo que la ciudad tiene durante las distintas épocas del año.
The Flatiron is an example of how to take advantage of every centimeter of land to build a new building, considering that its architecture and unique shape occupies the entire triangular space of the land, and is not too tall, with 22 stories high, but it became one of the first icons of New York City, since the year of its completion in 1902.
Daniel Burnham was in charge of launching the ambitious and innovative design that gave rise to the formerly called Fuller Building, better known today as the Flatiron Building located at 175, Fifth Avenue.
The Flatiron makes its way on a diagonal that does not go unnoticed by New Yorkers, architecture lovers and tourists from all over the world, since this area offers different options to visit and enjoy what the city has to offer during the different seasons of the year.
