This 50 billion yuan subsidy is a major initiative for Alibaba to comprehensively upgrade consumer services. Taobao Flash Shopping will provide consumers with preferential, convenient services and experiences in 12 months through the distribution of large red envelopes, free order cards, official subsidy fixed-price products, and other means, further stimulating consumer vitality. At the same time, it will launch store subsidies, product subsidies, delivery subsidies, and commission-free or reduced-commission policies for merchants to promote business growth.

Previously, Alibaba integrated the core resources of TaoTian, Ele.me, and Fliggy to build a large-scale consumer platform through technological innovation and business model innovation. This 50 billion yuan subsidy uses massive online traffic to benefit the offline service industry, forming a new platform model combining e-commerce and the service industry.
Since its launch in May this year, Taobao Flash Shopping has seen its daily order volume with Ele.me quickly exceed 60 million orders, surpassing expectations in both scale growth and efficiency improvement. During the same period, the daily total order volume of the Chinese instant retail market has experienced a leapfrog growth, rapidly rising from about 100 million orders to 160 million.
Data shows that Taobao Flash Shopping has significantly increased the platform's user activity. During the recent Tmall 618, the scale and activity of users reached a new high, with the number of purchasing users achieving double-digit growth. Taobao Flash Shopping is transforming more Taobao users into instant retail users, while converting online traffic into a driving force for offline service efficiency improvement and industrial upgrading, creating new business volume for brands and merchants.
