- The documentation states that when both
legalCommentsandcomments.legalare set, comments.legaltakes priority. However, based on the Rust implementation incrates/rolldown/src/utils/prepare_build_context.rs(lines 425-434), the actual behavior is: if thecommentsoption is set at all (even without explicitly settinglegal), thenlegalCommentsis ignored andcomments.legaldefaults totrue. The priority behavior only makescomments.legaltake precedence when the entirecommentsobject is explicitly provided, not just when both properties are set. Consider clarifying this documentation to accurately reflect the implementation, or consider updating the implementation to match the documented behavior.
* @deprecated Use `comments.legal` instead. When both `legalComments` and `comments.legal` are set, `comments.legal` takes priority.
