ONE WORD PHOTO CHALLENGE – INSECT
https://jennifernicholewells.com/2017/08/20/this-weeks-challenges-august-20-26-owpc-ww/
I like taking photos of all kinds of insects and spiders. Spiders aren’t insects, though, so didn’t add any of those.
The mystery bug…we never did find out what it was. It was strange looking, and we were invaded by them one spring. The praying mantis was looking like he enjoyed posing for his photo!

SEVEN DAYS OF NATURE CHALLENGE – DAY 2
This will be my 2nd day to post for this challenge. I was invited by Tildy, at The Beespeak (Life Lessons from the Beeline), https://thebeespeak.wordpress.com/2016/04/12/nature-walk-redbud/ to join in, by posting a photo a day, for seven days. The photo can be wildlife, birds, insects, flowers, trees, or anything that is considered nature.
It would be my pleasure to invite anyone who wants to, to join in the challenge. 🙂

My photos today are a couple I took at different times in the past. The praying mantis looked like he was enjoying his photo session. In fact he kept posing and didn’t want to leave! …The spider, I saw one early morning as I was going to take a picture of the sunrise. He/she? was dangling from the eave of the house on a thread of web. He wasn’t opposed to getting his picture taken, either. 🙂

Find more about the Color Your World Challenge here…http://jennifernicholewells.com/2016/01/05/color-your-world-asparagus/
Thanks for hosting this fun challenge, Jennifer! 🙂

Today’s color we are to feature, is Asparagus. I didn’t know a package of Crayons had one called this. It is green, like the vegetable. I like eating asparagus, sometimes, but to be funny we just call them asparagooses. 🙂
Anyway, here’s a picture of a praying mantis insect. It landed on my daughter this past summer, when we were at a local amusement park. I had to take it’s picture, of course …haha…he/or she was very photogenic, and posed for me awhile.
Do you think Mr. Mantis is smiling for the camera?
