random thoughts

Sometimes I keep a list of thoughts I have randomly, and here are some.
1. Buffalo Wallow. I think I mentioned this one time before, but when I was a kid we had a low place in the front yard that was always there. I imagined it was where buffalo in the old days would roll around in the dirt.
2. Dinosaur earbuds. I had some earbuds and one side quit working, so I asked my husband to get me a new package when he went to the store a few weeks ago. He did, and they work fine. They have dinosaur (T-Rex) head on them, so it looks like I have dinosaurs in my ears now. haha!
3. Odd Google searches. I’m always thinking of odd and weird things to look up. Today’s was the Squid Gourd. What’s that?? Well it’s a decorative gourd that is pretty newly developed. It was at our store with all the other pumpkins and decorative gourds. It looks kind of like a squid, actually. It’s green and yellow with lots of fat tentacles looking things around the edges. It says on the label it’s name is “Squidmo” haha

4. Funny things I hear wrong. Mostly I hear things wrong because I’m only half way paying attention, to someone talking, or to what’s on TV. Anyway, on Oct 11, 2024 – a bank advertisement on TV I thought they said ‘this is the Muggle Bank for you!”

- Funny memory first thing this morning Oct. 15. I saw a moth fluttering around, and it reminded me of my moth story, but also we used to call them ‘candle bugs’. Why? and also when the girls were little the older one told the younger one that moths were really ‘space coasters‘ !!! and they lived in the house walls, and would come out of this little hole we had in the wall. This of course wasn’t true. But the younger one believed it and was always afraid of them when she saw them. (I think there was a kid’s tv show with that name back then, too)
This is a moth, but the ones that swarmed us that day were just dark gray.
