There are so many songs with cool intro music. I always thought I’d be good at that game ‘Name That Tune’ just by the first few notes I hear.
This song has a great intro to it, very memorable, and it plays throughout the song, too.
This song today is a favorite of mine since 1976. I have lots of memories from hearing this. Here’s a few: In 1976 I was expecting my first baby, I had morning sickness, I even threw up in the K-Mart parking lot one time, I ate lemon drop candies to settle my stomach, I craved real lemons, peel and all, we drove a big green car with black top, we lived on 64th street … on an on with the memories of that time, and hearing this song on the radio during it all. 🙂
From a Wiki article:
“Love Is Alive” is a song by Gary Wright taken from the 1975 album The Dream Weaver. It features Wright on vocals and keyboards and Andy Newmark on drums, with all music except for the drums produced on the keyboards. The album’s title cut and “Love Is Alive” both peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.[1] “Love Is Alive” spent 27 weeks on the chart, seven weeks longer than “Dream Weaver”. Billboard ranked “Love Is Alive” as the No. 9 song of 1976.
