Serve without repayment? Share resources? Forgive enemies? Notice the invisible? Pray desperately? Confront injustice? Take up my cross? Would a camera show Jesus or just religion? THE FINAL PLEA Micah 6:8: "What does the LORD require? DO justice, LOVE mercy, WALK humbly with your God." Three things. Not three hundred doctrinal points. John 13:35: "By this all will know you are my disciples: if you have LOVE for one another." Not correct eschatology or theological arguments — LOVE is the credential, the evidence, the proof. John 14:6: "I am THE WAY, the truth, and the life." Not the doctrine, system, or institution — THE WAY. A way of living, not thinking. A path to walk, not master. If you cannot handle the stripping of your reputation, you are a slave to the opinions of man. ### 3. THE ULTIMATE STRIPPING: THE NAKED GOD We follow a Savior who was literally stripped naked. **Matthew 27:35**: *"And they crucified him, and parted his garments..."* He lost His clothes (Dignity). He lost His friends (Betrayal). He lost His protection (The Father turned His face away). He hung there—stripped bare—and still cried out, *"Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit."* **You want to be like Jesus?** Then stop crying when God asks you to strip. He is removing the layers of self-sufficiency. He is removing the false armor of your bank account and your social status. We interpret every difficulty as "spiritual warfare" and every hardship as a "demonic attack." **YOU ARE DECEIVED.** Some of what you are rebuking is not the devil trying to kill you; it is the Father trying to **MATURE** you. **Hear the Word of the Lord:** **God loves you too much to let you remain a brat.** He is not an indulgent grandfather who gives you candy while you rot your teeth. He is a Father. He is a Potter. He is a Vinedresser. THE COMFORT OF THE CRUSHING **Psalm 23:4**: *"Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."* How can a rod (a club used for beating predators and correcting sheep) be a comfort? **Because it creates BOUNDARIES.** A sheep that is never corrected wanders off a cliff. A sheep that is never disciplined gets eaten by the wolf. The Rod comforts the mature believer because it signifies: *"God is watching me. He is correcting my course. He will not let me destroy myself."* **Pain is the mercy of God that wakes you up before you drive off the edge of eternity.** ### 3. We measure the presence of God by the size of the crowd. **YOU ARE MEASURING BY THE METRIC OF BABYLON.** **Hear the Word of the Lord:** **The majority is almost always wrong.** In the days of Noah, the majority drowned. In the days of Elijah, the majority worshipped Baal. In the days of Jesus, the majority screamed "Crucify Him!" The path to life is not a highway; it is a deer trail through the wilderness. And if you are going to walk it, you must be willing to walk it **ALONE.** ### 1. If God has stripped away your friends, if your phone has stopped ringing, if you feel misunderstood and rejected—**DO NOT PANIC.** **This is not rejection; this is CONSECRATION.** He has cleared the room so He can speak to you. ### 3. THE COST OF COMPANIONSHIP WITH CHRIST **2 Timothy 4:16**: *"At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge."* Paul died alone. But he didn't die lonely. **Verse 17**: *"Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me..."* **Here is the trade:** You lose the crowd, but you gain the King. You lose the approval of man, but you gain the glory of God. You lose the party, but you gain the Power. Are you willing to make that trade? Most Christians aren't. They would rather be wrong with the crowd than right with God. They would rather fit in at Sodom than flee to the mountain. **Lot's wife looked back because she missed her friends.** And she turned into a pillar of salt—a monument to a divided heart. ### 4. THE PROPHETIC REBUKE: THE FEAR OF MAN **Proverbs 29:25**: *"The fear of man bringeth a snare..."* I see believers compromising their convictions because they are terrified of being cancelled, mocked, or unfriended. **YOU ARE TRAPPED.** You are in a snare. To show you that Mammon is a liar. When the economy shakes, those anchored in Mammon will collapse.
