**PROPHETIC DECREE: THE CROWD IS WRONG AND THE ROAD IS EMPTY**
** THE LONELINESS OF THE NARROW PATH: THE CROWD IS ALWAYS TRAVELING TO HELL. ARE YOU WILLING TO WALK WITH CHRIST IF NO ONE ELSE GOES WITH YOU? **
I am writing this from a place of holy solitude. The Holy Spirit is stripping away the comforts of companionship from the remnant. He is weaning us off the approval of the multitude.
We have a generation terrified of being alone. We measure truth by consensus. We measure righteousness by likes. We measure the presence of God by the size of the crowd.
**YOU ARE MEASURING BY THE METRIC OF BABYLON.**
**Hear the Word of the Lord:**
**The majority is almost always wrong.**
In the days of Noah, the majority drowned.
In the days of Elijah, the majority worshipped Baal.
In the days of Jesus, the majority screamed "Crucify Him!"
The path to life is not a highway; it is a deer trail through the wilderness. And if you are going to walk it, you must be willing to walk it **ALONE.**
### 1. THE EXPOSITORY REALITY: THE MATHEMATICS OF SALVATION
**Matthew 7:13-14**: *"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and **FEW there be that find it**."*
**FEW.**
Let that word sink into your spirit.
Not "most." Not "the church crowd." **FEW.**
The Greek word for "narrow" is *thlibo*—it means compressed, pressured, like a grape in a winepress.
The narrow path is not just small; it is **CRUSHING.** It scrapes off your pride, your baggage, your opinions, and your friends.
If your Christianity is comfortable, popular, and aligns perfectly with the culture, **YOU ARE ON THE BROAD ROAD.**
You are in a traffic jam to Hell, singing worship songs on the way down.
### 2. THE DEMANDS OF THE DESERT: THE WILDERNESS OF SEPARATION
**Hosea 2:14**: *"Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her."*
God loves to isolate His prophets.
* Moses was alone at the burning bush.
* Jacob wrestled alone at Peniel.
* John the Baptist was alone in the wilderness.
* Jesus was alone in Gethsemane.
**Why the isolation?**
Because the voice of the crowd drowns out the whisper of God.
Because your dependency on people is an idol that must be smashed.
Because you cannot learn to lean on the Beloved until you have no other shoulder to cry on (**Song of Solomon 8:5**).
If God has stripped away your friends, if your phone has stopped ringing, if you feel misunderstood and rejected—**DO NOT PANIC.**
**This is not rejection; this is CONSECRATION.**
He has cleared the room so He can speak to you.
### 3. THE COST OF COMPANIONSHIP WITH CHRIST
**2 Timothy 4:16**: *"At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge."*
Paul died alone. But he didn't die lonely.
**Verse 17**: *"Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me..."*
**Here is the trade:**
You lose the crowd, but you gain the King.
You lose the approval of man, but you gain the glory of God.
You lose the party, but you gain the Power.
Are you willing to make that trade?
Most Christians aren't. They would rather be wrong with the crowd than right with God. They would rather fit in at Sodom than flee to the mountain.
**Lot's wife looked back because she missed her friends.** And she turned into a pillar of salt—a monument to a divided heart.
### 4. THE PROPHETIC REBUKE: THE FEAR OF MAN
**Proverbs 29:25**: *"The fear of man bringeth a snare..."*
I see believers compromising their convictions because they are terrified of being cancelled, mocked, or unfriended.
**YOU ARE TRAPPED.**
You are in a snare. The devil has you on a leash called "Validation."
**SNAP THE LEASH.**
Who cares if the world calls you a fool?
Who cares if the religious system calls you a radical?
**One man with God is always the majority.**
### THE ALTAR CALL: WALK THE LONELY ROAD
I am calling for the eagles to leave the chicken coop. I am calling for the lions to leave the circus.
**ARE YOU WILLING TO WALK ALONE?**
** YOUR ACTION PLAN:**
1. **ACCEPT THE SEPARATION:** Stop chasing people who left you. Stop trying to force relationships that God has severed. Let them go.
2. **EMBRACE THE SILENCE:** Turn off the noise. Spend an hour alone with God today. Just you and Him. No podcast. No music. Just the raw presence.
3. **COUNT THE COST:** Look in the mirror and ask: *"If my spouse leaves, if my friends mock me, if I lose my job—will I still follow Jesus?"*
4. **FIND THE FEW:** Pray for a Jonathan. Pray for the few who *are* on the narrow path. They are out there. God will connect you with your tribe in due season.
