Observed result after fix: The current branch render shows the terminal Done chip, no in-progress chip, no Stop button, no reading indicator, and an enabled Compact action even when the same session row still reports hasActiveRun: true.

What was not tested: I did not run the reporter's exact custom local provider setup or capture a full live network/provider round-trip; this proof is a real Chromium render of the current Control UI surface for the stale terminal session state that triggered the bug.

This bug is incredibly frustrating — it drives someone with OCD absolutely crazy. Really hope this gets merged soon, thanks for working on it!

在webchat页面。

发送消息给llm的时候，显示“in progress”。
在llm回话之前会显示“done”。但是，实际上llm应该刚刚收到消息，还没有完成提示词解析吧。难道是代表我的消息发送成功？那显示“llm 接收成功”更贴切。
过了一会又开始显示“in progress”，并且常常是不跟对话框的行为一致，要么是对话框已经有tools行为了，他还是“done”，要么是llm已经回话了他还是“done”。
而且好些时候，是llm还在互动回答输出结果，他却显示“done”了。

从“如无必要，勿增实体”（entities should not be multiplied beyond necessity）的角度来看，很难理解这个功能的实际作用？难道仅仅是为了酷？

I still don't understand the purpose of this instruction. From my own experience, it is like this.
On the webchat page.
When sending a message to llm, it shows "in progress".
2. Before the LLM generates a response, the word "done" will be displayed. However, in reality, LLM should have just received the message and hasn't yet completed the parsing of the prompt yet, right? Could it be that the message sent on my behalf was successful? It would be more appropriate to say "LLM received successfully".
3. After a while, the message "in progress" started to appear again, and it often did not match the behavior of the dialog box. For instance, even if the dialog box already had the "tools" function, it would still show "done", or even if the LLM had responded, it would still display "done".
4. Moreover, quite often, even though LLM was actively responding and generating the output, it would display "done".

From the perspective of "If it is not necessary, do not create additional entities" (entities should not be multiplied beyond necessity), it is difficult to understand the actual function of this feature? Is it merely for being cool?
