Real behavior proof

This was reproduced on a real local OpenClaw Gateway using the OpenAI provider configured with openai/gpt-image-2 as agents.defaults.imageGenerationModel.primary.

Before the fix, image_generate calls through Codex failed at the dynamic-tool bridge before provider completion:

OpenClaw dynamic tool call timed out after 30000ms while running tool image_generate.

After applying the local equivalent of this change, setting the image-generation timeout to 120000 ms, and fully restarting the Gateway process, the same live call succeeded:
