Weekly Prompts Wednesday Challenge – Intimidating

Weekly Prompts Wednesday Challenge – Intimidating

Well, I think dinosaurs would have been very intimidating if we’d lived during those days. I loved the Jurassic Park movies but wouldn’t really want to bring these huge (and small) creatures back to roam the land again.

Here are some cute ones I do like, though.

  1.  A yellow plastic toy dino standing up, maybe a brontosaurus?
  2. An aloe vera plant in a white dino planter – a triceratops?
  3. An orange plastic toy dino – a Trex I think
  4. An actual real skull of a dino in a museum
  5. Another succulent plant in a dino planter – Trex

This is a multi-colored dinosaur made out of metal. It was in a front yard garden of a house where we went to a yard sale. Cool yard art!

Here’s a dinosaur with big pointy teeth!

It was at an exhibit at a local Science Museum.

Now, a song and a movie trailer!

“Godzilla”, by Blue Oyster Cult, was released as a single from their album, “Spectres”, in 1977. It was written by Donald Roeser aka ‘Buck Dharma’.

I saw scary movies even when I was little, around 7 or 8 years old, and I loved them all.

At the movies the first scary movie one I saw was called, “Gorgo”, who was a dinosaur, or sea monster.

This is a form of poetry called black-out, or found poetry. Take a page from any book, pick random words to use in your poem, blacking out the rest of the page. This one is taken from the book “Urban Legends” by Richard Roeper, page149.

TONIGHT

Hypnotic and driven,

The echo generated a dramatic mood.

I feel the coming crescendo…

Perfect for haunting, tonight.

This little story was a part of Fandango’s Story Starter, from September 2022:

When he decided to spy on his wife, the last thing he expected was to discover that she was a shape shifter.

Becoming suspicious, he followed her one late night as she left the bed, heading to the back patio. As he peered through the curtain he was astounded. Slowly she felt around the top of her head and began unzipping all the way down, revealing her true self … her reptilian form.

He hadn’t realized that he had past the point of no return until…

She slowly turned toward him, stabbed him with her hypnotic lizard eyes, and pointed her talon at him.

Paralyzed with fear, he could only listen as she spewed some strange sounding words into the night air. The meaning was clear, though.

“Tell no one and you will continue living.”

And finally … watch this optical illusion … it’s pretty hypnotic and amazing! 🙂

Red circle with small white balls rotating inside look like making circles, but they are really going in straight lines.

If your intuition is telling you not to do something, then don’t. Your intuition is not stupid ~ Martin Neimoller

INTUITION (Instincts) Acrostic Poem

Insecurity leads to indecision

Need to trust your intuition

Settle down, no need to frown

Try not to let it get you down

Inside whisper, becoming crisper

Never ignore your super transistor

Confidence will grow, just go with the flow

Trust your instincts, and soon you will know

Supernatural is not a superstition…if you trust your intuition

At sunrise one morning I was out there taking photos, when I noticed something hanging from the edge of the roof. Getting closer, I saw the spider. He or she had a nice web, but it didn’t show up, but he/she was enjoying dangling there I guess. In the first photo you can just barely see the spider (a little dot). I thought the reflection in the window of the sunrise was pretty cool, too! 🙂 … That afternoon the spider was still there, so I got a closer photo of him. 🙂
