Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “walk.” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!

I don’t do much walking, as it’s too hard for me to do anymore. So I was just thinking of songs that have walk in the title or lyrics. Without looking anything up on google, here’s a list of the ones that come to mind automatically.

1. I Walk the Line

2. Walk Like an Egyptian

3. I Walk Alone

4. These Boots are Made For Walking

5. Walk Right In

6. Walking to Missouri

7. Walking In Memphis

8. Walk This Way

9. I’m Walking

10.

And I ran out of them…. so … I then went ahead and googled songs that have walk in the title or lyrics. Hmmm There are a whole bunch more of them I’d forgotten about, like

1. Walk of Life

2. Walking on Sunshine

3. Walk Away Renee

4. Walk Don’t Run

And there were even more in some of those lists. I’ll bet you’ve heard most all of these at  one time or another, too.

Here’s one I remember from years ago, and still like it. 🙂

“I’m Walking”, by Fats Domino (1957). Also, in 2019 his song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame
