Trump’s Shock and Awe Reaches the Sunday AM News Shows

Just a few short months ago, here is where we were.

Warning – some may find it offensive because it was.

Let’s get to the Sunday talkies. ABC News and Martha Raddatz:

Oh but I have news. He is not done with Raddatz. She couldn’t get off of the planes were going to keep flying. The old aperture opening…

Oh boy

CBS Margaret Brennan and Vance in his first interview since sworn in as Vice President. He equated himself well, and was a match for Brennan.

Brennan and Vance discussed several issues throughout their interview including cabinet nominations, immigration, disaster relief, and the J6 pardons. One moment that is garnering significant attention is the devoutly Catholic Vance calling out the US Conference of Catholic Bishops for their ridiculous statement on immigration enforcement.

Last week, the Trump Administration rescinded a guideline issued under the Biden regime which barred ICE from conducting enforcement in or near so-called “sensitive” areas. These areas included schools and churches, which have been known to harbor illegal aliens.

The US Conference of Catholic Bishops, which receives over $100 million to ‘resettle’ illegals every year, responded by complaining that the move will turn “places of care, healing, and solace into places of fear and uncertainty for those in need” while endangering “the trust between pastors” and “the people they serve.”

In response, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops said Sunday in a statement, “Faithful to the teaching of Jesus Christ, the Catholic Church has a long history of serving refugees.”

“In 1980, the bishops of the United States began partnering with the federal government to carry out this service when Congress created the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP). Every person resettled through USRAP is vetted and approved for the program by the federal government while outside of the United States,” the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops said.

Many resettlement refugee agencies are faith-based groups. On Friday many of these groups were also told some of their federal funding would be suspended days after Trump enacted an indefinite pause on admissions of refugees to the United States.

Biden Enters the Twilight Zone in CBS Interview With Scott Pelley

During a CBS 60 Minutes Interview over the weekend, Joe Biden argued that America has “an obligation” to get involved in foreign wars, adding that “We can take care of both of these” while referring to the conflicts in Ukraine and Israel. Old Joe also expressed confidence that the United States is an “indispensable state” to ensure international security.

“Are you sure that you want to run again?” Biden says yes because he thinks he’ll achieve world peace. He does not mention it has anything to do with the American people.

The only thing missing in the Scott Pelley interview of Biden was “What is your favorite ice cream.” It was one of the most syrupy cringe worthy interviews. Since WWIII is on the horizon with men and women getting set to go to war, it would seemed like a good idea to trot the old man out.

Ahead of the interview, Pelley offered his viewers a disclaimer about Biden’s condition.  We get this preamble:

“Late Thursday, we met President Biden at the White House. It had been a rough week, and we could see it on him. Mr. Biden will be 81 next month, and he has said that when he’s tired, his life-long stutter can creep back in,” Pelley said.

Pelley claims Biden had to “wedge” the interview into his busy schedule. Biden had a 10am briefing and a 4:30 meeting that day. That’s it.

Biden is dealing with so many global challenges that the burdens seem to weigh heavily on him and “with no help from a paralyzed Congress.”

So the setup begins. Biden often didn’t even have to create a thought. Pelley did that, leaving Biden to consider yes or no answers, often providing answers to soft ball questions. We can only imagine what ended up on the cutting room floor.

Scott Pelley’s latest softball interview with Biden on ’60 Minutes’ ends by underlining Biden‘s apparent love of Israel, and how he wants to “run again” to make everything better.

The interview has been edited. Here is the transcript:

This is what he said since he now has put the military on stand by. All in 48 hours his change in position.

To confront the ‘brutality,’ Mr. Biden ordered two aircraft carriers plus cruisers and destroyers to the region. There are about 900 U.S. troops in Syria–on a counterterrorism mission since 2015.

Scott Pelley: Can you foresee U.S. troops in combat in this new Middle East war?

President Biden: I– I don’t think that’s necessary. Israel has one of the finest fighting forces in the country. I guarantee we’re gonna provide them everything they need.

Here we go:

President Biden answers questions on Israel, efforts to locate American hostages in Gaza, the state of the war in Ukraine and more during a wide-ranging conversation with Scott Pelley.

The interview continues at Sixty Minutes Overtime

CBS and ABC family linked to Obama and Benghazi

Take your pick of the headlines and links. Worried that the I.R.S. may have troubled the Tea Party folks? We should be worried that we even heard about it. Strange today that on Fox this morning, Tucker Carlson and the Fox staff as well has said nothing about this, even though the Daily Caller has the story on the front page.

President Obama’s deputy national security advisor, Ben Rhodes — brother of  CBS News president David Rhodes — was instrumental in changing the talking  points in September 2012.

ABC’s reporting revealed that Ben Rhodes, who has a masters in fiction from  NYU, called a meeting to discuss the talking points at the White House on  September 15, 2012.

CBS  News prez brother of WH official who edited Benghazi talking points, may drop  reporter over Benghazi coverage

Top Obama official’s brother is president of CBS News, may drop reporter over  Benghazi coverage

CBS News executives have reportedly expressed frustration with their own  reporter, Sharyl Attkisson, who has steadily covered the Obama administration’s  handling of the Benghazi terrorist attack in Libya since late last year.

“Network sources” told Politico Wednesday that CBS executives  feel Attkisson’s Benghazi coverage is bordering on advocacy, and Attkisson  “can’t get some of her stories on the air.” Read more:  Daily Caller

Then we have more, even Ben Sherwood at ABC is in the tank:

“CBS News President David Rhodes and ABC News President Ben Sherwood, both of  them have siblings that not only work at the White House, that not only work for  President Obama, but they work at the NSC on foreign policy issues directly  related to Benghazi.”

So stated political consultant and media commentator Richard Grenell on  Saturday’s Fox News Watch

For the record, Ben Sherwood’s sister, Dr. Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall, is the Special Assistant to Barack Obama.

Obamacare Slush Fund gives to Washington Post and CBS

The Daily Caller caught this action. This is really rank. Worth the full read if you have had a good night’s sleep which is more than I can say. Where is the coverage of these hearings? How is the Washington Post and CBS  to cover Obama in this when they are receiving the ultimate welfare. They rale about the GOP and Big Business. What a joke.  Here tis:

Two mainstream news organizations are receiving hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars from Obamacare’s Early Retiree Reinsurance Program (ERRP) — a $5 billion grant program that’s doling out cash to companies, states and labor unions in what the Obama administration considers an effort to pay for health insurance for early retirees. The Washington Post Company raked in $573,217 in taxpayer subsidies and CBS Corporation secured $722,388 worth of Americans’ money.

At a Friday morning hearing, the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, chaired by Rep. Cliff Stearns, Florida Republican, asked Center for Consumer Information & Insurance Oversight (CCIO) official Steven Larsen for how the administration decides who gets a slice of the $5 billion pie – and how the application process works. In his response, Stearns referred to the fact that corporations like General Electric, Verizon and AT&T in addition to several labor unions were getting taxpayer funding.

CBS frets that illegals don’t feel welcome

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Most support Arizona’s impending immigration enforcement law and a solid 78 percent think the federal government should do more to keep illegal immigrants from getting into the U.S. where, Katie Couric noted in citing the new poll numbers, “hundreds of thousands of them now live in Arizona.” So, how did CBS take these hardly surprising findings? Couric fretted “many” of those illegals “no longer feel welcome.”

CBS empathized with the plight of a reproductively profligate law-breaker. “On a dusty block in Phoenix, 15 years of the Quintana family’s possessions are for sale,” reporter Kelly Cobiella despaired over video of teddy bears before translating for the mother, Manuela, who managed to churn out ten kids who are now U.S. citizens, but hasn’t bothered to learn English. Cobiella explained how she decided to leave Arizona (for Colorado) because of the new law which has yet to go into effect.

Cobiella cited how over the past two years about 100,000 illegals have left Arizona and after sharing the complaint of a landlord who has lost tenants, Cobiella raised the sympathy quotient, relating how the 12-year-old daughter’s “best friend left to California with her family on Saturday,” asking the crying tween: “Did you get to see her yesterday before she left?”

Setting up Cobiella’s piece, Couric noted that a new CBS News/New York Times survey determined “slightly more than half said the law is quote, ‘about right.’” CBS put “51%” on screen, without pointing out only 36 percent answered “goes too far” and 9 percent said it “doesn’t go far enough” – putting the pro v con disparity at a wide 60 to 36 percent.

Obama and CBS Interview – follows Alinksky Rule 3

RULE 3: “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)

Obama has taken megabucks from Wall street.  Timmy Geitner, et al, are from Wall Street. Barney Frank and his Finance Committee insisted that  Banks make Freddie and Fannie Mae  loans to those who could not afford them, The very de-regulation he now insists on regulating. Decides who should win and who should fail?

Yes, find a target and justify your end game, Rule number 12

Yes, there are excesses. This now gives the government the right to take over one more of our institutions?

Please, could we have one day without you Mr. President????

Surprise: ABC’s Sawyer Hits Gore on Profits From Global Warming, Plays Glenn Beck Attack

Looks like we might be making some headway with the MSM.AlGoreEnd

Is the bloom starting to fade from the Rose? Good Morning America’s Diane Sawyer conducted a surprisingly tough interview with Al Gore on Tuesday, pressing him on profiting from global warming and whether or not climate change legislation is pointless in light of pollution-spewing countries such as China. She also forced the ex-Vice President to respond to a challenge from Glenn Beck.

Sawyer even pointed out the amount of methane gas created from the bodily functions of cows, observing that it’s “20 times more damaging it is than CO2.” The host, who will become the anchor of World News in January, then played a clip of Fox News’ Beck mocking Gore

Finally, the anchor highlighted a front page story in the November 3 New York Times on how some critics accuse Gore of profiting from climate change: “But they [the New York Times] say you are about to become, perhaps, the world’s first carbon billionaire because of the amounts of money that you’ve made from your investments, from your green investment.” According to public disclosure information, Gore was worth somewhere between $1 million and $2 million in 2000. Not quite eight years later, Gore is estimated to be worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $100 million.

Sawyer certainly should be commended for being far tougher than CBS Evening News host Katie Couric. As the MRC’s Brent Baker noted, she enthused on CBSNews.com: “I’m honored to be joined today by the Godfather of Green, the King of Conservation: Former Vice President Al Gore.”

CBS get tingles down its’ leg when Obama Blocks Basketball Shot

2009-10-09-CBS-EN-Obamashotblock

In my eyes, it was a foul with the body. Reggie Love gets to go to the line and shoot one; a three point play!

“Hours before the Nobel committee awarded its “Peace Prize” to President Barack Obama, the CBS Evening News found another “achievement” to tout: A White House-released photo of Obama blocking a basketball shot. With the picture on screen, fill-in anchor Maggie Rodriquez explained how it shows Obama impressively “blocking a shot by his aide, Reggie Love, who is younger, taller, and by the way, a former ball player at Duke.” Rodriquez added: “It now hangs in the West Wing so the President can savor the moment every time he passes by.” From Thursday night:”

David Letterman – Add to Hollyweird

Update:  If CBS producer Robert (Joe) Halderman intended to blackmail David Letterman about the funnyman’s sex life, he would have demanded cash, his lawyer said yesterday. Hmmm  Getting  more Hollyweird

“Here’s a guy who is an Emmy Award-winning journalist, who has dealt with cops and wiretaps and undercover investigations virtually his entire life,” defense lawyer Gerald Shargel said of Halderman on CBS’ “Early Show,” one of the morning shows he hit.

“There was a $2 million check. In the history of extortion, I don’t think there’s been a single case where the alleged extortionist took a check in payment. It just doesn’t make any sense.”

“Late Show” host called the whole thing “a very bizarre experience.”david-letterman-married-regina-lasko-wedding

You could say the same thing about his “bizarre” performance before an adoring studio audience that didn’t seem to realize the seriousness of the situation.

The audience laughed and cheered as Letterman used his usual assortment of funny expressions and hand gestures while describing what he called a “blackmail” attempt by a man who has since been identified as Emmy-winning CBS news producer Joe Halderman. Letterman said the accused extortionist threatened to reveal in a book and a movie that the host had sex with women who worked for him.

At times, the laughter and cheers seemed as inappropriate as Letterman’s occasional creepy attempts to joke about a very serious situation. In one case, the audience laughter even led to a joke. You almost wondered if members of the audience hated themselves later for laughing but couldn’t help it.

When Letterman said he had to go before a New York City grand jury to tell “all of the creepy things I’ve done,” the audience laughed.

Tthe David Letterman had secret bedroom above Ed Sullivan Theater, sez ex-‘Late Show’ stafferAn ex-“Late Show” intern unmasked herself Saturday as one of David Letterman‘s former flings – and sources revealed the randy funnyman keeps a bachelor pad atop the Ed Sullivan Theater.”I was madly in love with him at the time,” said Holly Hester. “I would have married him. He was hilarious.”

The NYU alum, who it appears went on to become a top Hollywood producer, told TMZ.com that the relationship started in the early ’90s when Letterman called and asked her on a date to the movies.A year-long, secret romance ensued, she said, until the funnyman called it off because of their age difference.

Hollywood once more, displays its appalling lack of normal human conventional behavior- whether Norman Polanski, or David Letterman, its  Ego,Ego,Ego. One can only wonder where the audience came from. America, where is the outrage for this outrageous disrepectful behavaior.
