NBC Chuck Todd Gives Blistering Attack on own Network Hiring Former GOP Ronna McDaniel

The NBC folks have their knickers in a knot over the hiring of Ronna McDaniel. As if NBC does not have enough problems with credibility, they decide to mull over the treachery of their boss in public.

McDaniel started out her new career with a Sunday interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press” — the network where she is now a paid contributor.

Ronna tried in her debut… apparently not enough to satisfy her new colleagues.

“I want to be very clear. The violence that happened on January 6 is unacceptable. It doesn’t represent our country. It certainly does not represent my party,” McDaniel told interviewer and co-worker Kristen Welker.

“If you attacked our Capitol and you have been abused and you’ve been convicted, then that should stay,” McDaniel continued.

McDaniel said she only spoke out now because she didn’t want to disagree with Trump while leading the RNC.

Well Ronna your going to have to do better than that apparently.

The fact that Ronna has her own horse to ride, and is no doubt planning to be a turncoat on Trump,  dishing out the juice on on him is not enough for her colleagues. At least that is the hope of her NBC boss. Why else hire her?

Oh the strange bedfellows in politics. But this one is hard to understand, or perhaps we are being played in the Sunday morning ratings war.

Oh wait… I think I have it…… strange indeed. CNN pitches into the fray, looking for some eyeballs. Chuck Todd as the righteous indignant newsman. Ethics the man said..Ah, it’s deep.

Gateway Pundit has an expanded readout.

…The blistering rebuke of her hiring did not stop there. Todd went on to say that many of his colleagues are upset that she has been hired.

“Look, there’s a reason why there’s a lot of journalists at NBC News are uncomfortable with this,” Todd said. “Because many of our professional dealings with the RNC over the last six years have been met with gaslighting, have been met with character assassination.”

“When NBC made the decision to give her NBC News’ credibility, you got to ask yourself, what does she bring NBC News?” Todd asked. “And when we make deals like this, and I’ve been at this company a long time, you’re doing it for access. Access to audience. Sometimes it’s access to an individual. And we can have a journalistic ethics debate about that. And I’m willing to have that debate. And if you told me we were hiring her as a technical adviser to the Republican convention, I think that would be certainly defensible. If you told me we’re we’re talking to her, but let’s see how she does in some interviews and maybe vet her with actual journalists inside the network to see if it’s a two-way, what she can bring the network.”

Todd continued, “So I do think, unfortunately, this interview was always going to be looked through the prism of who is she speaking for? I think you did everything you could do. You got put into an impossible situation booking this interview, and then all of a sudden, the rug pulled out from under you. You find out she’s being paid to show up.”

As if Chuckie and his colleagues have not been in the tank for the Dems…. and the thought of another point of view sends the shivers to them.

So what did Ronna Ronna Ronna bring to the table in this dastardly interview?

WATCH: Ronna McDaniel Comes Out Against Trump’s Promise to Free January 6 Prisoners

Former Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel joins Meet the Press exclusively to discuss former President Donald Trump’s promise to free those charged and convicted of crimes related to January 6th if re-elected. So reads the video notes… at the time of the interview it was not revealed that she was a paid worker bee for NBC so the claims goes.

McDaniel said she only spoke out now because she didn’t want to disagree with Trump while leading the RNC. Sure. Here is the whole sordid contentious mess and full interview of her. She gives her pitches of what is to be….

NBC: Force Kids to Put On Double Masks

“They’re “very snug” and “not a lot of air…getting in” – yes, let’s deprive our kids of oxygen. Surgical masks are worthless in offering any protection as you will see in the demonstration. Paging Dr. Fauci.

NBC News suggested Tuesday that kids should double mask as students return to school after winter vacation and the country grapples with the rise of the omicron coronavirus variant.

“I actually just sent my kids out the door, minutes ago, with two masks,” NBC investigative and consumer correspondent Vicky Nguyen said on “Today.”

Now a consumer correspondent is getting into the act in an attempt to ramp up hysteria.

There is Zero way a child should/could tolerate an N95. KN signifies that they are made in China. Don’t you think it is interesting that those cargo containers from China with their masks make it to our shores? We can’t ramp up for N95’s here?

Bonus time: If you are having problems finding a Covid Testing place, this fine lady has an interesting method of home testing.

KN designates they were made in China.

But how are N95 masks different from KN95 masks? The main difference lies in how the masks are certified. “In general,” says Sean Kelly, founder of New Jersey-based PPE of America, “N95 is the U.S. standard, and the KN95 is the China standard.” Because of this, only N95 masks are approved for health-care use in the United States, even though KN95 masks have many of the same protective properties.

(Personally I would like to have more than “many of the same protective properties.” Especially for our healthcare workers.)

If there is anyone who still wants to know more about N95’s and other protection gear:

English Touring Opera sacks half its members citing ‘increased diversity’

Even the World’s Socialist Web site WSWS.ORG finds the effort to create diversity by not renewing contracts for at least half the musicians of the English Touring Opera a bridge too far. Many who have been with the orchestra for over 20 years. Don’t think this mass hysteria for inclusion and diversity in the arts is only across the pond. Starting in 2024 the film industry here will cave and mandate those with “cognitive disability and deaf” be included if the film wants to be considered as an Oscar nominee. NBC-Comcast has already bitten the bullet.  But first:

The English Touring Opera (ETO) has cited “diversity” to justify not renewing the contracts of 13 musicians, nearly half its orchestra. Though employed on rolling freelance contracts, many of the players had been with ETO for 20 years or more.

The players have made a long contribution to the excellence of the ETO orchestra. As their playing was already known, they were not expected to audition at a recent call for new players. But this now suggests a longstanding intention to remove them, and to replace them based on racial or gender-based criteria.

This divisive move dismisses the qualities of the musicians involved and attacks the very basis of artistic accomplishment. Such “quota-filling” positive discrimination does nothing to address the historically determined divisions that stem from the very foundations of an unequal, class society, but serves only to fuel the racial divisions it claims to oppose.

It is a gift to racists and the right-wing.

Interesting that they find the effort to destroy the orchestra a gift to racists. Could it be that it’s just the wrong thing to do?

Classic FM:

English Touring Opera (ETO) has dropped half of its orchestral players in a push for diversity.

At least 14 musicians have been told they will not be booked for the 2022 ETO tour, many of them long-running members of the orchestra.

The ETO has attributed the changes to prioritising “increased diversity in the orchestra,” something that’s in line with “firm guidance of the Arts Council.”

“There has been an understandable outcry from Musicians Union members in response to this news today,” the Musicians Union (MU) wrote in a statement.“

“It comes at an especially devastating time for the freelance community, and musicians in general, with so many struggling with little work and income during the COVID-19 crisis.”

“We did not instruct the English Touring Opera to send this letter,” the Arts Council has said. “We are now in conversation with ETO to ensure no funding criteria have been breached.”

The ETO announced hiring 12 new artists in the freelance orchestra for the spring 2022 tour on Friday.

Here on our side of the pond, things are not that much better in the film industry. A refresher from an earlier post:

Oscars new requirements for ‘Best Picture’ – includes cognitive disability, deaf

The diversity and inclusion initiative has been a heavy focus for the Oscars the past few years, shown by the expansive membership initiative. Today, as part of the Academy Aperture 2025 initiative, AMPAS announced new representation and inclusion standards in order to be eligible in the best picture category.

For the 94th and 95th Oscars ceremonies, scheduled for 2022 and 2023, a film will submit a confidential Academy Inclusion Standards form to be considered for best picture. Beginning in 2024, for the 96th Oscars, a film submitting for best picture will need to meet the inclusion thresholds by meeting two of the four standards.

At least two of the following creative leadership positions and department heads — Casting Director, Cinematographer, Composer, Costume Designer, Director, Editor, Hairstylist, Makeup Artist, Producer, Production Designer, Set Decorator, Sound, VFX Supervisor, Writer — are from the following underrepresented groups:

And this is how America’s wonderful film industry turned into mediocrity in the name of inclusion.

Let’s step back in time, oh say around 2011. I’ll throw out some highlights.

Slowly, we are learning more about the merger of Comcast and NBC. Not that NBC could carry George Soros’s water any more than they do, but it is stunning that there is no shame.

The pending merger between NBC Universal and Comcast appears to have received Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski’s support because of the companies’ recent promises to the NAACP, Al Sharpton’s National Action Network, the National Urban League and several Hispanic and Asian civil rights organizations. The two media giants promised more “diversity” in new and existing programming, and in all levels of the company and they promised more minority characters in existing television programs and more new programs targeted at the specific racial minorities.

To get the civil rights groups on board with their merger, NBC Universal and Comcast worked out several Memorandums of Understanding, or written agreements, with the different groups, dividing them by race. The separate agreements included an Asian American Memorandum of Understanding, an African American Memorandum of Understanding and a Hispanic American Memorandum of Understanding.

Under the terms of the FCC order approving Comcast’s takeover of NBCU, at least half of NBC’s 10 O&Os have to find a nonprofit news center with which to work within the next year. The order cites the KNSD-VoiceOfSanDiego.org alliance as the model for what it would like to see in other NBC markets.

Proponents of the growing nonprofit news movement are hoping that NBC’s FCC-mandated efforts will bear fruit and encourage other commercial TV stations to seek out nonprofit partners.

There’s just one problem with this: Voice of San Diego is a member of INN (Investigative News Network) which is funded by the Open Society Institute, the URL of which is “www.soros.org.” Yes, these “non-profit” journalism centers are funded by George Soros.

The media giants also agreed to allow black leaders to have influence over NBC’s news programming. In addition to programming “diversity,” the Comcast and NBC Universal Memorandums of Understanding with different race-specific civil rights groups promise “diversity” in company employment, in supplier and vendor procurement and in “philanthropy and community investment.

And that is the best the swamp has to offer today.

For the best in conservative news push the button.

Bag Man Biden’s first campaign stop at Comcast – collecting on merger of NBC?

I read that Biden last night was visiting his old friend at Comcast no doubt “collecting” his chits from the hey day of the merger of NBC and Comcast. You see, the Obama administration made NBC agree to become the radical news source that it is for the merger to occur. Now that we know what sticky fingers Biden has as a bag man with his nefarious business deals, it makes sense for Biden to make his first collection at Comcast- owner of NBC and MSNBC. No less the visit with the “diversity officer?” Now that is a real knee slapper. Hey, anyway, it’s always good to have a friend down D.C. way.

Former vice president and Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden will attend a fundraiser at the home of an executive of Comcast, which owns NBC.

David Cohen, a senior executive vice president and the chief diversity officer for the company, will host a fundraiser at his Philadelphia home on Thursday, Common Dreams reports. The event will also include Democratic members of Congress and important donors.

Comcast owns NBCUniversal, which runs NBC, MSNBC, and other news networks.

Biden spoke with donors on Wednesday, according to Politico.

Recall our earlier post: NBC-Comcast cave to FCC Diversity :

NBCU will strive to ensure the presentation of diverse viewpoints by seeking the expanded participation of minorities on its news and public affairs programming,” the companies promised in writing to black leaders. “To advance this goal, NBCU will consider suggestions from the African American Advisory Council of individuals who could be considered for such participation.”

“In addition, Comcast Cable is committed to launching a package of 40-60 Spanish-language channels in all of its major Latino markets, with a balanced mix of programming serving all demographics and strongly promoting a diversity of Latino voices,” the companies promised in writing to Hispanic leaders. “Comcast Cable also will more than double its 600 hours of Latino VOD content, continue to add SAP-enabled offerings, and offer thousands of choices within a few years.”

The media giants also agreed to allow black leaders to have influence over NBC’s news programming. Al Franken cut from PBS honoring David Letterman, but Letterman’s scandal?

Right now, my internet is limited to the Library.. sorry folks for the lack of posting, but I have been at the ready. Let’s look at an oldie moldie post I did waaay back in 2009 just for the memory. First from Weasel Zippers that got my mind clicking……

Letterman had his own scandal in 2009.

Via NY Post:

Sen. Al Franken has been cut out of a TV special honoring comedian David Letterman following an accusation by a former model and Los Angeles radio news host that he kissed and groped her during a USO tour in 2006, according to a report.

The Minnesota Democrat filmed the PBS special “David Letterman: The Mark Twin Prize,” which was scheduled to air Monday, but the network edited him out, TV Line reported on Sunday.

”Senator Al Franken participated in the event, but will not appear substantially in the PBS program. … PBS and WETA, the producing station, felt that the inclusion of Senator Franken in the broadcast at this time would distract from the show’s purpose as a celebration of American humor,” PBS told TV Line.

David Letterman – Add to Hollyweird

“Here’s a guy who is an Emmy Award-winning journalist, who has dealt with cops and wiretaps and undercover investigations virtually his entire life,” defense lawyer Gerald Shargel said of Halderman on CBS’ “Early Show,” one of the morning shows he hit.

“There was a $2 million check. In the history of extortion, I don’t think there’s been a single case where the alleged extortionist took a check in payment. It just doesn’t make any sense.”

“Late Show” host called the whole thing “a very bizarre experience.”david-letterman-married-regina-lasko-wedding

You could say the same thing about his “bizarre” performance before an adoring studio audience that didn’t seem to realize the seriousness of the situation.

The audience laughed and cheered as Letterman used his usual assortment of funny expressions and hand gestures while describing what he called a “blackmail” attempt by a man who has since been identified as Emmy-winning CBS news producer Joe Halderman. Letterman said the accused extortionist threatened to reveal in a book and a movie that the host had sex with women who worked for him.

At times, the laughter and cheers seemed as inappropriate as Letterman’s occasional creepy attempts to joke about a very serious situation. In one case, the audience laughter even led to a joke. You almost wondered if members of the audience hated themselves later for laughing but couldn’t help it.

When Letterman said he had to go before a New York City grand jury to tell “all of the creepy things I’ve done,” the audience laughed.

David Letterman had secret bedroom above Ed Sullivan Theater, sez ex-‘Late Show’ stafferAn ex-“Late Show” intern unmasked herself Saturday as one of David Letterman‘s former flings – and sources revealed the randy funnyman keeps a bachelor pad atop the Ed Sullivan Theater.”I was madly in love with him at the time,” said Holly Hester. “I would have married him. He was hilarious.”

The NYU alum, who it appears went on to become a top Hollywood producer, told TMZ.com that the relationship started in the early ’90s when Letterman called and asked her on a date to the movies.A year-long, secret romance ensued, she said, until the funnyman called it off because of their age difference.

Hollywood once more, displays its appalling lack of normal human conventional behavior- whether Norman Polanski, or David Letterman, its  Ego,Ego,Ego. One can only wonder where the audience came from. America, where is the outrage for this outrageous disrepectful behavaior.

Clinton crime family urged NBC to take Morning Joe’s Mika off the air

In a delicious piece on Morning Joe, we get a glimpse into just how arrogantly the Clinton machine operated. Of course we know how tangled NBC, MSNBC are with the Clinton Crime Syndicate. Going after Mika? Now that puts a smile on my face.

The “Morning Joe” crew noted Friday that Hillary Clinton’s Thursday warning against fake news is a little hypocritical, considering her campaign worked so hard to bury the idea that Donald Trump could win the election.

 Published on Dec 9, 2016

On Morning Joe, Mika Brzezinski reveals that after she had warned that the Clinton campaign needed to stop arrogantly assuming that the race was over, “NBC got a call from the campaign that I had done something that was journalistically inappropriate or something and needed to be pulled off the air.”

NBC and their love affair with ‘History’s pivotal experiment’ – Russia

PJ Media brings us the NBC narrative of the wonders of the Hammer and Sickle of the grand empire Russia. As if we could not have one moment of non propaganda during the Olympics, first we have Dear Leader on, then the historical nonsense of this evil empire that slaughtered millions of its people. Great video over at the link. Just in case one missed it.

“The towering presence, the empire that ascended to affirm a colossal footprint. The revolution that birthed one of modern history’s pivotal experiments. But if politics has long shaped our sense of who they are, it’s passion that endures. As a more reliable right to their collective heart. What they build in aspirations lifted by imagination. What they craft, through the wonder of every last detail. How magical the fusion of sound and movement can be. How much a glass of distilled perfection and an overflowing table can matter. Discover the Russian people through these indelible signatures. Discover what we share with them through the games that open here tonight.”

George Orwell, call your office. As he wrote in “Politics and the English Language,” in 1946, such euphemisms are “designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable,” and certainly describing Communism as “one of modern history’s pivotal experiments” fits the bill in spades. Or as Stacy McCain accurately described it this week at the American Spectator, “The Worst Idea in the World”:

NBC/WSJ Poll that sinks the GOP is skewed

Update: A shout out to the Village Voice for the link and all of you who are stopping by,  Think we are “Running scared?”  Best put your money under your mattress. We are just about broke as a nation. Enjoy!

Yesterday I posted doubts regarding the Gallup Poll that stated Republican approval rating falls to lowest point in Gallup poll history. It didn’t make sense and appeared an outlier. I went into the past and gave the sordid  history of Eric Holder, the DOJ and Gallup. Gallup sued by DOJ – Funny, GOP poll numbers tank. It made little sense that this was true when looking at other polls.

Now we learn that there are serious questions regarding the infamous NBC/WSJ  poll that has a questionable pedigree as well.  It has been non stop reporting that this defines the end of the GOP.  Why isn’t this reported? Here we go:

From: PJ Tattler:

A sharp reader caught a statistical problem with that much-cited NBC/WSJ poll that shows Republican s are getting whooped in the shutdown:

@texasbryanp In today’s NBC/WSJ poll, 1 in 5 respondents work for govt. Only 8% of general pop works for govt. See last page.

Here is the complete poll with the sample, the questions, etc. On the very last page we get the breakdown of where the 800 respondents work.
We do have government workers heavily sampled, by more than twice the actual percentage of Americans who work for the government. Then let’s factor in the poll’s partisan sample, which was 43-32 Democrat, the percent that admits voting for Obama, which was 44 versus just 35 for Romney, and this looks like a left-heavy sample. I’m not screaming UNSKEWED POLLS!!!1!!!1! here, but, it’s questionable. Then, factor in NBC’s role. That network is not to be trusted. (Maybe PJ Tattler doesn’t want to say it, but I will: Screwed!)

Vivian Schiller, Marxist, to join NBC

I heard on Fox News this morning  that our PBS Marxist friend Viv has agreed to join NBC. Makes sense don’t you think, with the Election coming up. She will head up”Digital products”– makes sense yes indeed.

Let’s take a bit of a spin in my “way back machine”

Here is NPR’s Bio of her:

Here tis:NPR Org

Schiller began her career as a simultaneous Russian interpreter in the former Soviet Union, which led her to documentary production work for Turner Broadcasting.

She graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor’s degree in Russian studies and Soviet studies, and a Master’s degree in Russian from Middlebury College.[4]

A Great piece here at the Spectator who give more of her Soviet involvement and Ted Turner,

Ms. Schiller is suddenly infamous as the National Public Radio executive with Soviet-style values on display in the firing of Juan Williams.

Where would an American media executive ever learn that dissent is not to be tolerated?

How about a film project called Portrait of the Soviet Union?

It was lovely. A glowing documentary of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics produced in documentary film format by a big Soviet Union fan — Ted Turner.

The 1988 film was also made into a book of the same name, with Fitzroy MacLean, a onetime British MP listed as the author. By 1988 MacLean was the “chief consultant” for Turner Broadcasting.

Another story from, Town Hall has this disturbing update:

Schiller, a former New York Times executive, is one of a few dozen power players working with the Federal Communications Commission, the Federal Trade Commission and a leftist group called Free Press to “reinvent journalism.” That’s how the FTC describes it. The FCC calls what they are doing the “Future of Journalism.” Free Press, a think tank funded by leftist billionaire George Soros, among others, calls it “the new public media.”

With now-former NPR analyst Juan Williams suitably splattered across the evening news after politically incorrect comments he made on Fox News, Schiller can return to her real passion – the creation of a national network to ensure that in the future, you get your news from the government in general and NPR in particular. Keep Apologizing Vivian, we got your number , who explained in a speech to the NPR board of directors in 2009, it is public radio’s responsibility to fill the gap in journalism left by dying local television stations and newspapers.

If Schiller and her liberal friends have their way, Fox and its viewers will pay the bill for her new government news network.

It’s all the same thing, a plan to take over local news coverage from for-profit television, radio and print media, which Schiller and her friends claim is in danger of extinction. These “friends” get together regularly with the heads of the FCC and FTC to brainstorm the details in government and congressional meetings. These meetings include the leaders of all the country’s public broadcasting outlets, including PBS, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and American Public Media.

All  I could find was this info this morning:

Dow Jones’ “All Things Digital” is reporting that former NPR President & CEO Vivian Schiller is in talks with NBC to join their network to oversee digital products. Schiller left NPR in March following a pair of embarrassing situations, including the firing of commentator Juan Williams and a secretly-recorded video of a high-ranking member of NPR mocking the Tea Party and Republicans. Schiller formerly ran the New York Times website before taking the top spot at NPR. H/T:  Radio Info

FCC Orders Newsrooms To Partner With Soros-Funded Non-Profits
