A case study on Ivy Brain Tumor Center:
At 3DforScience, we’re proud to introduce the Ivy Brain Tumor Center, a nonprofit initiative that’s making a difference in the world of brain tumor research.
It owns the world’s largest Phase 0 clinical trials for Neuro-oncology, employing an innovative approach where patients advance to therapeutic trials based on individual drug effectiveness.

Dr Nader Sanai, MD, an eminent brain tumor surgeon known for his expertise in high-risk cases at the Barrow Neurological Institute and the author of this project, highlighted the critical aspects that set this procedure apart.
With this first and complete briefing, our team could use it to deliver value through detailed design and progressive storytelling.

With this first and complete briefing, our team could use it to deliver value through detailed design and progressive storytelling.

With this in mind, the team started on a visualization stage, where they meticulously mapped the video’s narrative, paying special attention to elements such as the catheter’s placement, the drug’s journey within the body, and the precision of its mechanism of action.

In our journey to enhance comprehension, our designers employ animation to vividly illustrate the SSIAI (Super Selective Intra-Arterial Infusion) technique.
This animation accentuates the catheter’s journey through the bloodstream, showcasing its ability to navigate obstacles and deliver experimental drugs with pinpoint accuracy near the tumor.
This approach minimizes the potential side effects often linked to less precise, non-targeted delivery methods.

The Ivy Brain Tumor Center received an animated video that intricately depicted the journey of their experimental drug’s delivery mechanism, with a particular emphasis on its profound medical impact: the groundbreaking ability to breach the blood-brain barrier.
This milestone represents a promising stride forward in comprehending and addressing the challenges faced by patients dealing with this condition, instilling in them a renewed sense of confidence and hope.

In this detailed storyline, you can explore the distinctive process we undertake alongside our clients, a process centered on infusing life and significance into innovative procedures that, in everyday life, can foster a deeper understanding for patients and their way of life.

The video will bring substantial benefits to both the Ivy Brain Tumor Center and its patients, including enhanced education, empowered decision-making, increased confidence, emotional support, and reduced procedure-related stress.
Simultaneously, the company gains improved patient communication, strengthened branding, research opportunities, and legal compliance in patient care.
“We extend our gratitude to the 3dforScience team for their dedication to this project! We are optimistic that this will lead the way for a new and more effective approach to treating brain tumors.”
