A Case Study: ArteraAI & 3DforScience:
ArteraAI, a pioneering precision medicine company, is transforming cancer treatment with its multimodal artificial intelligence (MMAI) predictive and prognostic tests. To communicate this innovative technology, ArteraAI partnered with 3DforScience to create a clear, impactful animation that explains how their AI analyzes patient data to personalize cancer therapy, beginning with localized prostate cancer and expanding to other tumor types.


The animation follows a patient’s journey, beginning with familiar real-life context, then zooming out to show how their data fuels ArteraAI’s MMAI algorithm.
We visualized how the system slices biopsy slides into tens of thousands of image patches, processes them through self-supervised networks, and generates patient-level numerical insights that are combined with clinical data to produce an actionable MMAI score.

Working closely with ArteraAI’s data science and clinical teams, 3DforScience designed the “digital sphere” and infographic elements to convey complex AI learning in a way that builds trust and understanding. Each animation sequence shows the step-by-step transformation of raw pathology into actionable treatment guidance, reinforcing ArteraAI’s role as a leader in MMAI-powered biomarkers.

From initial script to final rendering, we crafted layered visuals: human-scale scenes, digital data flows, algorithm “spheres,” and clear infographics. Dynamic transitions highlighted the flow of patient data, the AI’s learning process, and the final impact on prognosis and therapy choice.
