I passed

an unplanned unexpected lack of internet for 3 and a half days..... oooh it hurt.

And the annoying thing was that the darn thing could have been fixed on the first night by replacing the lan cable. ,,,, Is a moments silence for said lan cable it served me very well in its ten metres glory for almost 10 years. Now Im down to a two metre cable which means the phone is in my room.

And in other news for the first time in a couple of years I didnt have angst over whether or not to continue with the Cam... even though I dont have a PC in the "flagship" genre.

Ive decided to keep getting my head fixed.... I dont know if I mentioned this at the time but my psych took a long service leave from her work and ran about euirope for a bit and she "retired" from her work to concentrate on her private practice anyway the up shot of it was that I had her trip to decide whether or not to continue as we'd benn having zero achievement sessions for quite some time, until the one just before she went away... but there is still alot of improvement that is needed/desiredbefore I finish.

And then I found out that the Russians dropped its Conventional Forces in Europe Treaty (That was made back in the cold war as the USSR) And to support their war in Georgia they are violating it badly. (Of course they aren't violating it as its been dropped.)

Maybe I'm old skool cold war child this coupled with classic cold war PR disinformation and lies about the Georgian campaign I is nervous.

Whats worse is that the Americans obviously don't care as both sides of the electorate are having their conventions and pandering to the American public which traditionally doesn't care about foreign policy that doesn't involve direct US interests

Two Aboriginals walk into our classroom and no this isnt the start of a joke and ask where they might find their classes (its their first day) so I give them directions and after they leave the other guy from my class who is an ethiopian and even darker than the aboriginals takes his head phones off and asks me what did they want I explained and he then asked whats to stop them from nicking some of the computers from or class room..... My class mate has only been in the country for the last four years and yet he's already picked up the attitude of a (more then I really want to admit) sadly typical (white) Australian reaction to an Aborignal.

With a straight face I explained that the computers were chained down he was suprised at that too.....

Despite the ecchi as mentioned before the complete lack of pants and lolicon, the obivous attraction of the girls to each other in Strike Witches, it's the gem of the year I think... perhaps until season two of Rosario + Vampire capu 2, It has essentially WW2 flying and that makes a Nic Squee any time of day or night, fighting against a relentless unknowable enemy, samurai traditions and heroic sacrifice (garunteed to make a Nic shed tears). The ecchi and lolicon dont interest me at all except in the film maker in me is fascinated/amused/appalled at the same time at the VERY creative way that the makers add those elements yet barely detracting from the story (for me at least) Ceri and chaoticlusts  couldnt get past the NO PANTS bits and to be honest there's alot of them but Ive accepted the sports bloomers pants that they have as part of that alternative universe and moved one to enjoying the story.... After watching the latest episode (ep9) there is big hints of conspiracy and not all what it seems always good in my books if it goes they way its shaping it will make me squee long time.

Paper was confirmed for shootings with boss o'scripts which leaves me in a panic about pre-production as in Ive not done any.... Argh apparently we start shooting next week. It may not be mine being shot but its best to be prepared for the eventuality.... Of course if I do all the work of the pre production in all likelyhood mine will be the one shot.

Anyways staying up late last night for an entirely good cause or two TAFE homework and cheering up a princess. Which had the additional bonus of twitting a blood talon (werewolf tribe in the forsaken game)fanatic.... however I managed to get 4... ish hours sleep before tafe and now I is well knackered so after this I am in go to bed do not pass go do not collect $200 mode.

Weird bit of the day someone was asking me about dating as he has had none (dating in Australia that is).

I'm sure there was something else I wanted to whinge about but my brain has turned to muuuuuush apostophes in place and all

I was domestic and made awesome cheese and tomato (and sometimes ham) sarnies (ok not aussie vernacular but we all know what I mean.) My superdeli up the end of North Beach Drive has awesome Boston ham and is quite tasty. Cheese and tomato sanwiches are one of my favourite foods in the world. (why I couldnt say just is)

I got curious about manowar...... silly me and I... er found er their discography I'd forgotten how cheesey the band and their lyrics were especially for gamer people *nods* last night I reminded myself of all the goodness. Normaily I dont like metal as a form music. (my taste is more like metallica - black album which I can hear the groans from troo metal fans which accoording them that isn't metal its comerical sellout time for metallica :P ) The short version I got a head ache last night banging away. It was mighty and I was amused.  Possibly no one but xambrius, seacucumber and miss_madb have the foggiest what Im talking about. :)

Right now Im trying to be good and start the paperwork homework fior one of the classes its not due till week nine (three weeks away) its a bit mighty and epic its not hard by any strectch just ALOT of it and the second one is evern more mighty its asking us to discuss film makers Ive never heard of, so I think a trip to the central tafe library next week is in order. Sure I can probably just wiki the ones Ive not heard of....  but seriously.... thats bad study habits. So Im thinking finding some books on teh subject is a plan for good study habits.... (scary Im taking this seriously)

Another scary thing is that all the kids.... and I do mean kids are asking me for help in their assignments. Awwwwww they look up to me and stuff which other than being scary is pretty awesome. Course they wanted my help when I was A broke and couldnt go out anywhere and B had my Mobile turned off, alas..... *looks at charging mobile* "it shall be charged"

Part of the paperwork is in fact an up todate 1 page CV so I went looking for my CV. well Bugger I can only find a 2003 copy ie pre mod shop and its a bit thread bare......I know I had one post modshop but whereever it went its not on my poot now. :(

The other thing taking my time up is Final Fantasy XII according to the PS2 its taken 76 hours of my life so far.... but by gosh Ive been having fun.... and even after that Ive got Final Fantasy X -2 that I never finished which I will have to restart as my memory card was nicked with the PS 2 course to appreciate Final fantasy X - 2 I suppose I shall have to do Final Fantasy X again.... and again I shall have to start from scratch..... which the first time the took about 250 hours out of my life. And then there is the Final fantasy VII once I get my hands on a psone memory card.....

Riddle me this.... If it was FINAL fantasy why are their 13 soon to be 14 of them?

Today I did battle with Centrelink over a lack of payments and they went "Oops you're right have money" I went "score!"

Actually that is a funny story (now) I thought for a very long time that I was lucky and my luck came from my irish maternal grandfather.... No such luck pardon the pun the maternal garndfather was an aussie (several generation) drunk wife beater (I only knew him as a drunk chain smoking broken >non wife beating at that point<  old man, he died sometime before my mother, so before '86. He is the reason I dont drink that much and have NEVER smoked anything.

In happier news my hormones have stopped clammering to.... well to get some action. I still left with the usual problem of being single and this song is not helping at all. :) Still anyone got any ideas to meet some new interesting, and intelligent females.... who are straight.... *makes face at chaoticlusts *

oooh shiny news Tintin is coming to the big screen and Steven Moffet (all the good eps of Dr who blink, library, the first captain jack story)  has written the first script *joy* (speilberg to direct but even he can't f*** up a moffet story..... I hope....)

Im here at college all by self beacuse I dont trust myself (with good reason) at home. I could do this assignment at home but with almost a terrabyte of stuff that I havent watched and a new PS 2 with final fantasy 12 begging to be played (and it was flogged till teusday when I said oh crap Im late for my psych appointment.) So after Psych appointment I did toddle off to tafe. (was it coincidence that the psych is like 50 metres from TAFE I dont think so.....) And Im here again today but Ive got some good work done Im about halfway through... Now if only my pizza would cook......

If its one of the top three it gets shot er filmed rather than taken out the back and shot at dawn.... though there is the gallows here.... but that was for hangings. Ok this is getting silly.

I had a dream the other night and in it I fell in love with someone again or afresh as I still hmmm carry the torch for her, but she was keeping her distance and then she had someone else which perversely made me love her more.... Unless a miracle or two happens Im not going to be with her in real life (and the miracles dont involve bad things happening to other people)

In some what related news as it since then Ive been.... well how do I put it delicately..... my hormones have been running rampant.... which is no help at all as there are no prospects even in the remote distance. So in short sux to be me atm.

Tafe is going well though I may panic about it from time to time but I just have to remember that if I do the work I will pass.....

Im reading another sci fi series Harry Turtledove's balance WW2 series where chicago gets whacked I was going to post about this as proof as an on going trend but I read further and lo and behold Seattle gets whacked by an alien nuke (chicago got whacked after a stalingradesque  fight for the city and the bomb was detonated by the US army)

I cant talk I have a frog in the throat the size of Silas Greenback from danger mouse. I call myself deseasled in honour of the trains from the Tomas the tank engine world before it became a brand name. The twins heard of a new diesel engine and thought it was a diseasle, Its always amused me. Anyways Im in pain as the cough with the frog in the throat moves things which ought not to be moved on a man at anytime EVER ,,,,,, and so in short Im in pain

Ive just watched the last two ep of Doctor Who S4 E7 (the wasp and the unicorn wasnt the best) & 8 damn its a two parter. OMGosh Steve Moffat's writing is gorgeous Im green with envy and.... I cant say anything more cos of spoilers.... literally and metaphorically..... damn have to wait till next sunday.

Watched the first season of Numb3rs which is good I think and well worth watching.

Spooks  - started watching season 1 omgosh part 2 I wish i could write like that. Its terribly british and sardonic. Im finding that Craig W had been raving about this series for years and I kept nodding and meaning to acquire it. Im now kicking myself for not doing it sooner. Its doomy and spytastic and all sorts of goodness in a doomy way.... Ive seen one episode previously which inspired me to start acquiring it. It was.... well it developed plot in away that I can now see how this is all going to end.... sardonic and badly. Which adds to the whole thing. I initially thought that the previous ep I had watch must have been a season finale (it might well be) but after watching the first two episodes it might be just a another episode as they are very gripping (ball tearingly good gripping and I dont use that lightly).

The Wormwood nation thing in my last post omgosh part three you have to see it. Its a student film. Very well done other than sound, (Ive never seen sound done exceptionally well on student films, so I dont think its a negative. Its just so elegant the plot line and the way its told, for a student film Im just amazed.

I went and accepted the offer today found out it is going to be at the fremantle prison which is still part of central TAFE not Fremantle TAFE .... Weird

and there I was minding my own business surfing the net and I found out that theres a GI Joe movie coming out next year O_O

What americans would call community college... I think. Full time at Fremantle - the closest option was Balga and that was a hell no - despite the fact that it was save me at least an hour a day in travel. I'm just too attached to myself to deal with .. associated problems going to Balga. Fremantle was preferred over even East Perth as it has the bonus of my parents and psych, conveniently close by. The hour long public transport ride will help with readings that will be inevetiable. Oh what am I doing?

Found a new anime called revelations - its about japanese cops who search for murderers through MRI technology they scan the dead persons brain for memories which can be used as evidence.... sci fi moral issues and some really wierd cops make for some good anime.

I cant squee enough about Macross frontier very sexy mecha fights and some interesting plot and some very big nods to the macross series before it.

Also read a book about shiny ----- literally------ shiny vampire they glow in sunlight its the twilight series Im going to read the other two books as soon as I can stop laughing about shiny vampires.

oh if I havent mention Mnemosyne its a new anime its very weird and groovy about immortals who are detectives and their links to the world around them. it is full of Awesome and Win.

The doctors daughter from dr who was also full of win and awesome.... cant say anything else cos of spoilers for those whove not seen it. Doctor Who is getting better which is great.

Im now up to date with everything other than BSG Ive got the episodes just not watched them yet. NCIS is a lot better or rather gone back to being awesome after a dip in the first half of the season.

OMGosh Moonlight is still awesome and it better get renewed. Waiting for the season finale tonight.

And Im completely ignoring my house and its beginning to show alot.....

Im thinking of going to college (tafe) next semester Ive been avoiding this for several reason but next week Im going to have to sort something out.

Was full of awesome and win. All my politics for the two genres I play politics in I winned at and came up smelling like roses and the other people died.

The two I dont play politics in it got boring dont get me wrong... Random and Alicia both ran awesome games its just that solving the plot  had nothing to do with my PCs. And the one thing I did want to do I've found out that the Perth local ST is doing it (after she tells me no I cant do it), I've been planning for 2 cons and she just goes and does it. which is possibly the only pisser to the con. Actually no it wasn't the only pisser.....

I fly into melbourne rock up to the melbourne international backpackers and discover they wont give me a bed because I have no photo ID... I had a credit card health care card and medicare card but no.... three backpackers later same story. its now 6ish and Im very aware that 
A it gets reeeeeeeeeeealy cold in melbourne over night. The sun had gone down and the
B parents cant do anything for me like throw money at the problem
C my bag and suit case are getting alot heavy
D my phone started squealling it needs a recharge and some phone credit.

Anyway Im going through my phone trying to remember whos in melbourne and on my mobile the first one I come to that I know is still in melbourne is Jenny Casey who happened to be the accomodation person for noctis I remember this as I see her name. The number still works I must got her new number at some point and deleted the old one. She is the win as she puts me up for the weekend not that she was there for most of it: :)

So by ACC need to get photo id, we should be able to sort something out.

new series Ive discovered military sci fi Ive devoured the first book and Im now pained to find out my collection doesnt have any more. Sad Panda...

I was about to cry I looked at virgin blue and the cheapest they had was about $225 thats most of my money in a fortnight and I have doomy bills coming in that need to be paid shortly. but I checked Tiger and they have seats going for $89 both ways and lo Im saved!

So it looks like if the prices are still there on Friday I shall acquire return tickets and I will be going to noctis. The plan is to stay in a youth hostel or something like that assuming anyone from melbourne bothers to tell the rest of the country where and when noctis is. :)

Ooooh pretty lots of things to look forward to in April/May, BSG, Dr Who and now Macross frontier... Ive seen the first episode and omgosh its got some pretty flight/fight scenes... Robotech even before battletech got me into gaming and Sci Fi....

Discovered something called Macross 7 which leads on from Macross (aka robotech in English), Macross II, Macross plus. Im laughing my arse off at the main character. Its not so much what he does its what he doesn't do.

I have been missing my house keys (not to mention my bike key and parents house key) and my MP3 player Both are inconvienences to have missing but not dire things as least in my life as I dont use the front door. However I have started tidying up my house of late since Jack has gone slowly but sure its getting cleaner. But my keys and mp3 player were still missing . I specifically cleaned the areas that had them in and they weren't there. The last time I had seen either of them they were in separate rooms.

So I have a not date with my first girlfriend tomorrow (shes married with a kid now) I'm looking for stuff to wear... naturally there is nothing good and clean to wear.... in fact there was nothing clean period, but sush.  So Im finding my only good casual pants to wash I hear a key tinkle.... could it be my keys? YES! and then I feel something hard in the other pocket yes my MP3 player. Weird as they were nowhere near the last places I had found them. No had I worn these pants since perhaps October?now if only I could find my dark glasses then all would be right with the world.

Sad as I was looking over my pants I was thinking I could use them for costuming for my changeling come winter. The curse of the LARPer is to gauge ever piece of clothing that you own and wonder which character is it good for. Also everytime you go clothes shopping to make sure that the piece of clothing that you purchase is good to wear in public and it be usable by at least one character that you currently of sometime in the not to distant future play

Time travel and traveling through time (not the same thing) have always held a fascination for me, I fnially got to see Deja Vu I hadnt realised it was a time travel story and its got Denzel Washington in it for the win. New Amsterdam (the new tv show) is also about time travel in the fact that he doesnt die and has seen the city (NY) since it  was call New Amsterdam. I still squee and I want to see more of it.

This weekend is a non cam weekend so no games ironically as Ive not been to a requiem game in a month (Kal game doesnt count there is no politics) so Im jonsing out for a game but there is no game. So Im at home on a Saturday night trying to do DT for Changeling and washing and drying and domestic stuff it feels odd.

I did my Lost VC report only two days late this time. Next time it will be better I promise.
